HOWEVER YOU LIKE TO SPEND YOUR VACATIONS NORTH LAKE TAHOE HAS IT ALL.
A wonderful, three bedroom plus TV room/bedroom and two bath lodge, that sleeps 8-10, close to all the winter sports with a large deck and private hot tub nestled under the pine trees.
Jasper's Lodge has been decorated with care to create an incredibly comfortable mountain get-away. Surrounded with big sunny decks and great outdoor furniture, it is situated on a quiet street and is the perfect place for a summer or winter vacation. The downstairs living room has been designed with socializing in mind - a big comfy couch, large rustic dining table, great light, and a warm gas fireplace.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need from quality cookware to herbs and spices and plenty of glassware (including champagne glasses - we've even had a marriage proposal at the house!). The bedrooms are big and spacious with down comforters on all the beds and plenty of closet space.
Upstairs is another living area that can double as an extra bedroom, it has two big overstuffed couches (one of which folds out into a queen-size bed), a big arm chair and ottoman, as well as a full entertainment center with Satellite TV (all the movie channels), Radio, CD and DVD.
Jaspers Lodge is a dog-friendly house, in fact Jasper is a very friendly yellow lab. There is a dog bed, bowls, and special dog tags with the house address and phone number on them.
In summer you have access to Tahoe Park Beach, a wonderful private beach with two piers, barbecues, and picnic tables, along with volleyball and basketball courts, and horseshoes. Also the beach is right next door to Sunnyside Resort a great restaurant and bar summer or winter. Paige Meadows, a popular hiking and cross country ski area is only a short walk from the back yard.
The trails to Paige Meadows and beyond are right outside the back door and are fantastic for hiking, snow shoeing and cross country skiing. Tahoe City is just five minutes down the road where there is a large supermarket, great restaurants, coffee houses, boutiques and sport shops - something for everyone!!
The house is non-smoking.

Our stay at the Jasper Lodge was great. The upstairs family room and bedrooms actually were nicer than in the photos (the TV shown was upgraded, for instance). Everything was clean and we had no problems using the hot tub, garage, and internet. We would definitely stay again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, families with young children.

We had a fabulous week over new year's at Jasper's Lodge. The house is lovely, with extremely comfortable accommodations and lots of space for communal time, games, etc. The kitchen is great, stocked with every gadget and appliance necessary for cooking. The whole family, including two small dogs and baby, loved the place. The neighborhood is perfect for long walks and snowshoeing, and is conveniently located for Tahoe City shops and restaurants. We hope to be back in the summer!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

After a last minute change of vacation plans, my wife and I were scrambling to find a fall vacation getaway. Jasper's Lodge was just the right solution. Rooms were spacious and the remodeled kitchen was very nice. It was larger then we expected and everything was in great condition. The hot tub was popular with my kids (and adults) and the neighborhood was quiet and close to tahoe city. The private beach access was very nice and was only a 5 minute drive. Clean and private and offered tables, BBQ areas and kayak and stand up paddles were available for rent nearby (NOT at the beach) Kathryn, the owner was VERY easy to work with and answered all my emails promptly and to my fullest satisfaction. OVERALL another wonderful VRBO experience for our family. (5 place we have stayed at) Squaw Valley in summer is pretty dead and we just missed the cutoff for the Truckee river rafting. We did drive to Emerald Bay to hike down to the Vikingsholm (did not take the tour) and we did rent kayaks there to explore the bay and the little island. Eagle Falls hike was great. Ate lunch at the Bridgetender, good burgers, salad, and onion rings. (5 minutes away) Ate breakfast at the Fires Sign Cafe. Very nice atmosphere that is close to the house. (2 minute) We shopped at the New Moon Grocery store, had some nice items but were pretty pricey.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing.

Jasper's Lodge was everything that was promised in the description. It's located in a nice, well established neighborhood. The cabin itself is very clean and nicely decorated to make everyone feel at home. The private beach was clean, very accesible, and family oriented, but no doggies allowed there (sad face), but just down the road there is plenty of beach for the doggies.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We stayed at Jasper's lodge for one week this summer and had a wonderful visit. It was very clean and had all of the amenities we needed for us to be very comfortable (ironing board, iron, washing machine soap, well sequipped kitchen, etc) We brought our two dachshunds who enjoyed sleeping on Jasper's bed and made themselves very comfortable. We only had the three of us (2 adults 1 child) and didn't use the bottom bedrooms since our daughter preferred having her own tv in her "bedroom". It was the perfect size for our family. We enjoyed meeting the nice neighbors when they walked their dogs and loved sitting on the deck having drinks in the evening as well as using the hot tub! We loved the grassy yard, close proximity to Tahoe City, quiet neighborhood, and of course being so close to the lake! Only recommendation would be to have screens put on all of the windows since the upstairs was missing a few and we didn't want bugs to get in. Otherwise it was a great place to stay!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I stayed for the Memorial weekend. The cabin is great, we liked it a lot. We have astayed in upwards of 15-20 different cabins over the years and this one ranks up there as a place we would stay again. My only gripe is a lot of these cabins don't have very good TV's. (Yes I am a tech snob sorry) I don't expect much in rentals so the TV was OK not really HD, but good enough it worked just fine. Still give you the 5 stars. The up stairs hang out area is really cool and cozy.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This cabin was amazing, but what really made our weekend was how wonderful and understanding the owner was. We had originally booked our cabin and paid in full for the rental and deposit several weeks in advance through Enchanted Vacation Rentals. We got a call 2 days before our planned stay saying that the owners had decided not to rent their place out for the weekend since they wanted to go skiing after the recent snow. The manager of Enchanted Vacation Rentals was extremely rude to me on the phone and very unapologetic for the huge inconvenience. The company then tried to give us a smaller and less convenient cabin for the same price. I really did not want to give this manager our business and did a quick search for other options in the area. Thankfully, the owner of this beautiful lodge called me back the same night. I explained the situation to her, and she was very understanding and held the place for us while I requested a refund from the horrible woman at Enchanted Vacation Rentals (who tried to convince me we needed to rent through her since it would take several weeks for us to get a refund - it took 2 days). Once we arrived on Friday, the place was immaculate, and the photos did not do it justice. The beds were extremely comfortable (including the oversized dog bed for our dog), and the upstairs living room was wonderfully cozy and perfect for hanging out with our friends after a long day on the slopes. Most importantly, the the hot tub was AMAZING! While we spent hours drinking wine in the hot tub, our friends used the grill outside to make delicious turkey burgers. Overall, this place made our weekend (and our dog's weekend) better than we could imagine. I would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We had a marvelous time in Jasper's cabin! It was well appointed with every thing you need to snuggle up for a week! Our Newf Coba made fast friends with all the neighbor pooches. They would frolic in the snow for hours. The hot tub was perfect for our tired out ski legs! Every day you would find us lounging in the hot water with little fluffs of snow dropping from the sky. The bedding options are awesome. It's like the 3 bears. One soft bed for daddy bear, one medium bed for mommy bear and 2 little beds for baby bears! The views from this neighborhood are stunning! We highly recommend an evening stroll. Unfortunatly we didn't have time to explore the reserve behind the home! Next time! We truly had a wonderful break! Side note: instructions for the satellite dish and t.v. usage would be great. P.P.S. we accidentally brought a coffee cup home. Please send me an address where we can return it. Thank you!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The owners are very nice. There were some discrepencies out of both of our control with the booking. They went above and beyond to correct the situation. The lodge is beautiful and comfortable. If more people would opperate thier businesses with such integrity and concern for family, the world would be a better place. Enjoy your stay in beautiful Lake Tahoe.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We just spent a fun weekend up in Tahoe and rented this property! It was perfect for the two families and 2 dogs. The hot tub was a great benefit to have after a long day of skiing with kids. The dogs loved the yard and the forest area around the corner. We would absolutely stay here again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
