We had a marvelous time in Jasper's cabin! It was well appointed with every thing you need to snuggle up for a week! Our Newf Coba made fast friends with all the neighbor pooches. They would frolic in the snow for hours. The hot tub was perfect for our tired out ski legs! Every day you would find us lounging in the hot water with little fluffs of snow dropping from the sky. The bedding options are awesome. It's like the 3 bears. One soft bed for daddy bear, one medium bed for mommy bear and 2 little beds for baby bears! The views from this neighborhood are stunning! We highly recommend an evening stroll. Unfortunatly we didn't have time to explore the reserve behind the home! Next time! We truly had a wonderful break! Side note: instructions for the satellite dish and t.v. usage would be great. P.P.S. we accidentally brought a coffee cup home. Please send me an address where we can return it. Thank you!

This cabin was amazing, but what really made our weekend was how wonderful and understanding the owner was. We had originally booked our cabin and paid in full for the rental and deposit several weeks in advance through Enchanted Vacation Rentals. We got a call 2 days before our planned stay saying that the owners had decided not to rent their place out for the weekend since they wanted to go skiing after the recent snow. The manager of Enchanted Vacation Rentals was extremely rude to me on the phone and very unapologetic for the huge inconvenience. The company then tried to give us a smaller and less convenient cabin for the same price. I really did not want to give this manager our business and did a quick search for other options in the area. Thankfully, the owner of this beautiful lodge called me back the same night. I explained the situation to her, and she was very understanding and held the place for us while I requested a refund from the horrible woman at Enchanted Vacation Rentals (who tried to convince me we needed to rent through her since it would take several weeks for us to get a refund - it took 2 days). Once we arrived on Friday, the place was immaculate, and the photos did not do it justice. The beds were extremely comfortable (including the oversized dog bed for our dog), and the upstairs living room was wonderfully cozy and perfect for hanging out with our friends after a long day on the slopes. Most importantly, the the hot tub was AMAZING! While we spent hours drinking wine in the hot tub, our friends used the grill outside to make delicious turkey burgers. Overall, this place made our weekend (and our dog's weekend) better than we could imagine. I would definitely stay here again.

The owners are very nice. There were some discrepencies out of both of our control with the booking. They went above and beyond to correct the situation. The lodge is beautiful and comfortable. If more people would opperate thier businesses with such integrity and concern for family, the world would be a better place. Enjoy your stay in beautiful Lake Tahoe.

We just spent a fun weekend up in Tahoe and rented this property! It was perfect for the two families and 2 dogs. The hot tub was a great benefit to have after a long day of skiing with kids. The dogs loved the yard and the forest area around the corner. We would absolutely stay here again!

This is an awesome home that is very accommodating (even for dogs)! It also has a hot tub! The views on the drive down the hill are amazing and the location is very nice = close to Tahoe City. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

We had a great time at this property! Beds are comfortable, all the amenities including a hot tub at your service!! I would highly suggest this property. The price is also really great.

Jasper's Lodge was the perfect choice for our family getaway. We found the house spotlessly clean. The furniture is comfortable and the bed linens are high-quality. The remodeled kitchen is so nice to use and well-equipped. We like to cook and are often disappointed in the tools available in rental homes. Here we had everything we needed and everything was of good quality. We happily cooked all our meals there. I felt that for what we paid, Jasper's Lodge is an excellent value. There are other properties listed of similar size and price that do not look nearly as nice. We didn't get to enjoy the yard as there was still several feet of snow and we got a foot of snow during our stay. We'd like to return in the summer so we can spend time enjoying some outdoor activities. It's about 30 miles to South Lake Tahoe and the drive is stunning. There are bike trails easily accessible from this subdivision and it's close to town. Kathryn was so nice to work with. She obviously cares that people staying in her home have what they need. We'll absolutely return.

Jasper's Lodge was very clean, has great natural light, and had plenty of comfortable places to sleep. It was comfortable for our party of 4 adults and 4 kids (under the age of 6.) The layout was just a little bit hard to get used to at first because the kids kept taking over the lovely upstairs living space, which left the grown ups hanging out in the kitchen even though there was a couch next to the dining area. It was fine though because we loved drinking wine while munching on what we had on the countertops. The lodge was very convenient in every other way! To name a few examples, we love that the hot tub was right outside the door and surrounded by snow and trees and that there was a plaque titling the residence, Jasper's Lodge. We knew we were 'home' when we saw it. The landlady was very informative about everything when I was asking my millions of questions. There was also a very handy binder in the kitchen that was very neat and organized leaving nothing out.

My family stayed at Jasper's Lodge 4/30 -5/3/2010 and had a wonderful time. The house is very tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. We arrived a day after a late season storm dumped 1-2' of snow so our 2 labs and 2 kids had a "blast". We enjoyed the neighborhood dogs who came to visit and "hang out" w/our dogs on the deck. The kitchen has been recently remodeled (very nice) and has excellent cookware, appliances etc. Overall this house has a very "comfortable" feel to it. The hot tub was also very nice after snowshoeing and skiing! Thanks for letting us share your your beautiful home.

We stayed at Jasper's Lodge from 12/30/09- 1/04/10. We could not have had a better stay in Tahoe! The home is very lovely. The deck is spacious, hot tub is in super condition. The kitchen is brand new, well-equipped, and a pleasure to cook in! The dining area easily provided space for our family of 6. The garage access is nice for guests traveling with skis, who may not want to keep their skis in the car all the time. The neighborhood is quiet and private, yet provides easy access to Tahoe City dining and the Nordic and Alpine venues in the area! All in all, a super home, and a spectacular vacation in beautiful Lake Tahoe!

We stayed at Jasper's lodge last year - there was damage to blinds at the property when we arrived. Despite having photographs of this damage which we presented to the owner, they charged us for repairs and refused to refund our full security deposit. You may have a different experience.
Owner response:We take very good care of our home to ensure that all our guests have a truly wonderful experience when they stay at our house. The house is thoroughly checked before and after every guests' stay. This way we can ensure that any maintenance, cleaning or other issues are taken care of immediately and do not impact the stay of our guests. In this case there was no damage reported to us either by the guests or by our housekeeping service on the day of check in. The damage to the blinds was first reported to us by our housekeeping service at check out. We encourage all our guests to report any damage to us as soon as it occurs. We take great care with our property and have never had an issue like this before. We have had guests who have accidentally broken or damaged items during their stay, these things happen, and they have always reported it immediately to us so we can take care of it and it has never been an issue. In the 6 years that we have owned and been renting this property this is the only time that we have had an issue lke this.

We felt very comfortable and the kitchen is so well equipped. Access to the home owners beach club was a significant plus. Oh, and the dogs gave you 5 Stars, emphasizing they really liked the well kept grass.

We absolutely loved Jasper's Lodge! It was wonderful to come home to the heated jacuzzi after skiing, and watch our doggie playing in the snow. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the beds are comfy. The two levels afford some nice privacy when two families are residing together. We will definitley come back!
