Created especially for casual coastal living, this "quintessentail beach cottage" features special finishes & attention to detail that make it a cut above. Sitting literally upon the sand, with only sea grass and driftwood between you and the sandy beach, plus incredible inside views from two levels!
Guests say that stepping into Clambake Cottage is like entering the pages of a magazine, yet it is warm, comfortable. and casual ... just perfect for winter beach get-aways and summer vacations! The first floor, with rich Brazilian cherry hardwood floors, has a beautiful great room with river rock gas fireplace, 64" plasma TV, custom-trimmed wall of windows, pretty banquet seating dining area, and entertainer's kitchen featuring slab granite and special custom cabinetry. Doors open onto a small deck that leads to a sandy beach path, another to the hot tub and grill garden (grand-daddy sized SS gas grill) areas, & there's even a warm-water outdoor shower to rinse off the beach sand with.
The accommodations:
A "beachy" guestroom sports lux ultra-soft checkerboard carpet, board 'n batten wall detail and a surfer chandelier... a small bath with shower across the hall hints at memories of the tropics. The daybunk, built in along the stairway, offers serene sea views and is a great place to curl up with a book!
Upstairs, the master bedroom suite is stunning with its' soaring barrel-vaulted ceiling and million $$ views! Comfy easy chairs & a flat screen tv tempt you to linger longer. A pretty travertine bath has a large steam shower & special bubbler tub(complete w/aromatic salts)... a really wonderful retreat suite.
An upstairs guest bedroom with queen bed, captains single bed & trundle. A cool custom shell & glass chandelier, beadedboard walls & beachy vanity alcove make it avery special guest room. There is a small flatscreen tv, and compartmentalized bath with tub/shower.
Everything is ready for your relaxed get-away at Clambake Cottage, including a complimentary bottle of wine! The well-equipped kitchen includes an espresso-maker, colorful confetti glass wine & martini/margarita glasses, nice serve & bakeware as well as everything you need to serve a gourmet meal or a picnic barbecue. Books, movies, games & beach chairs are here for your use.
Beach bonfires and morning walks with coffee are delightful ways to start and end each day at the beach!
Clambake Cottage's waterfront location is in a quaint neighborhood of small cottages & some newer homes. This beach area is considered by some one of Lincoln City's best kept secrets... the beach is generally quiet. Changing tides & soft sand, birdlife, kayakers, windsailers, & big sky weather patterns provide plenty to watch; run your heart out on the sand, take a leisurely stroll hunting for Lincoln City glass floats, fly kites, build awesome driftwood forts, sand castles and beach bonfires!
Watch the fishermen (or go fishing!) along the Salishan Spit, take a windsailing lesson (available at the local surf shop). Enjoy making your first fused glass project at the wonderful local shop Mor-Art, or blow your own glass ball nearby.
Great restaurants are near-by; the reknown Bay House and the (great breakfast & lunch) Beach Dog are within walking distance, with a handful of other awesome ones right across the bay.

We've lived on the Oregon Coast for 20 years. It's been our pleasure to share our vacation homes with others; in the process we have made many great new friends... people we'd probably never had known otherwise! Whether you're looking for a great beach vacation spot, in the great Pacific NW or the wonderful balmy tropics (Puerto Vallarta area), we've got just the place for you!
Why the Owner Chose Lincoln City
We have created other special places on this beautiful part of the Oregon Coast: Rose-Cliff by-the-sea in Depoe Bay was the location for weddings and also used as a wonderful family reunion/retreat area; the Inn at Arch Rock (next door to it) was our first project in this area.
Clambake Cottage is our new home, and was designed & built with many features similar to RoseCliff, however on a smaller scale. We wanted it to feel like a traditional beach cottage, but with upgrades and of course some modern conveniences. Now complete, it feels really homey and exceptional at the same time.
Casa Kaeli and Casa Susana are our two fantastic homes just north of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico... really hard to beat for the winter months! If you've never been to this area, you really owe it to yourselves to check it out. You'll soon see why so many people from the US and Canada spend the entire winter there.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Being located right on the sand is fun! The constantly changing views (tides in and out, weather patterns coming and going, gorgeous sunsets and evening lights across the bay) are captivating; some evenings we take a glass of wine to the beach (only steps in front of the cottage), sit on a log and watch the sky change. When there is a storm, the master suite is an incredible perch to witness it all.Bird watching, fishermen in boats along the Salishan Spit shore, even an occasional deer bounds through the sea grass in front of the house!

We recently enjoyed a 3 night-stay at Clambake Cottage--what a treat! This home is so cozy and welcoming. It has a great layout and is very tastefully decorated. As I walked around admiring it, I very much appreciated the cleanliness and all the personal touches & accents added by the owners. Everything needed (bedding/cozy beds, towels, soap, tp, cleaning supplies, etc) was supplied for us--it was a bonus to have books & magazines, dvd's and toys also available for our use. We planned out a few meals for convenience and found that the beautiful, upscale kitchen had everything we needed to prepare & serve our meals, including plenty of fun, decorative wine glasses! The views from the home are amazing, but its just a few steps out the door and down a short path to the clean, peaceful beach. We found an IGA store just a few blocks away, though everything is close enough from the cottage. The owner was helpful and quickly reponded to my emailed questions & concerns. In summary, it was as described online, only better! Staying here made our weekend to the coast that much better. I hope to stay here again. Thank you Sue!

4 of us (3 adults and a baby) spent 3 nights here, but it felt like weeks. From the moment we walked in the door, we were beyond impressed. The pictures do not do this place justice! The light that comes in the floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room and the master bedroom (check out the barrel-vaulted ceiling too!) is just amazing. We purposefully did not schedule a thing or set any alarm clocks. This is the perfect place to relax for a few days, although it would also be a great place for a group of people due to the large, open living space. The kitchen was great to cook in, and the hot tub was very relaxing at night. The steam shower in the master bath is also a great luxurious touch. Both the owner and the management company were great and easy to deal with - very nice folks. While not directly on the ocean (although you can see and hear it), Siletz Bay is right behind the house, and watching the tide come in and out is very cool. We didn't get licenses for clamming, but if we had, we could have had a feast. So, I hope you don't stay here.... To keep the calendar open for us!! We did not want to leave, and we can't wait to go back when our schedule allows.

Winter Beach Getaway Done Right!

My Wife and I along with my parents enjoyed an unforgettable 3 night stay at this wonderful Nantucket Cottage. Everything was just as described and more. Marble Kitchen Counters, exquisite hard wood floors with radiant in-floor heating, huge 55+ inch LCD HDTV with Bose sound and DVD player and more! The upstairs master bedroom was one of the main highlights of our stay since the master bedroom is HUGE with large windows with views to the water that let in a-lot of natural light. The master bath includes an extra large soaking tub with a unique air bubble massage system and there is also a separate amazing tile sauna shower! The 2nd bedroom upstairs also has a huge tube and private bathroom. Overall, I high recommend this home for 2 couples or 3 (since there is a 3rd bedroom and shower/toilet on the main floor) or a family. Fully stocked gourmet kitchen (just bring your own food), Jacuzzi tub outside, outdoor grill, plenty of cozy seating, gas fireplace, amazing views.... the only thing you really need at this place is yourself and your loved ones. Once you have that, you got memories to last a lifetime!

We had our annual girls weekend here. We have been doing girls weekend for 13 years and this was by far the best home! The decor was dreamy and upscale. The kitchen had everything you needed and then some to make your stay better than at your own home. The blue heron came daily as did the bald eagle. I highly recommend this home for anyone who wants to forget about the outside world for a little while.

The house is even more beautiful than in the pictures! This was one of our first experiences renting a vacation property on-line and could not have been happier with the results. The house was beautiful, excellent location right on the beach, very close to town, restaurants, groceries, etc., and the owners were extremely helpful in answering all our questions. We are looking forward to returning sometime!

"Relaxing and Beautiful Experience in a wonderful cottage" This cabin is darling. SUPER clean, the decorations are amazing and make you feel very welcome and cozy. I was with my husband, my parents, and my brother and his wife. I was nine months pregnant and think it was the best get away closer to home that gave me that last peace of mind before our daughter came. Susan was awesome and flexible to work with, very friendly. We all slept comfortably in the bedrooms provided. The master was just something else all together. It wasn’t even a warm weekend but we LOVED IT!

"Absolutely beautiful home with every creature comfort possble!" This home is gorgeous in every way and is perfect for a family vacation. My husband, two children, and parents found this home to have every creature comfort possible and then some! The home is stunningly decorated and very comfortable. You immediately feel "at home" at Clambake Cottage. The rooms are well appointed and the great room is adorned with gorgeous views from the wall of windows facing the bay. There is also plenty of space for every member to steal away a quiet moment alone! Simply Lovely - we will be back! .

We recently spent three nights at this property. All we can say is WOW!!!! We had a wonderful time with our friends... and were very sad to leave. We had an excellent experience. The house is beautiful, clean, and spacious! There were 8 of us (including 2 active three year olds and 2 excited first graders), and there was room to spare. The house is located a few yards from the beach, which is where we spent much of our time. The location is perfect because of the absence of the pounding waves. We walked and played in the water with no fear of anyone getting hurt. We also had a SPECTACULAR view from the living area and the master bedroom... especially when the sun was rising or setting. We had a great time and so did our kids. This is a beautiful house and location. We were talking about making reservations for next year as we were locking the door to leave. We hope to make this a yearly trip!!!!
