This Chalet is located on the old pass road, right off Teton Pass. It is 1 mile outside of Wilson, and perfectly placed in the woods off of the pass, in beautiful mature aspen and pine trees.
The views offer picturesque mountain vistas of the Sleeping Indian, black canyon, the Gros Ventre and Wyoming Ranges. The living room windows look out onto a meadow with horses and a creek that runs through the meadow. The views are a really unique view, and clearly different from other rentals in the area, it lends itself to the feel of being in mountains, something that town doesn't offer.
This location is ideal for outdoor recreations, summer, fall, winter, and spring. It offers ski in ski out access to backcountry skiing on Teton Pass, and is across the street from world class cross country skiing (Trail Creek).
It is in a central location to all types of cycling travel, mountain biking, road biking, downhill, and free ride. There is close access to national forest service hiking, horseback riding, and nearby the snake river for fly fishing.
This house has a really special feel of a mountain chalet. It is clean, affordable, great location, and truly a gem of the valley. The house is clean and comfortable, sit on one of the 2 decks, or sun room, and soak in the mountain sun.
The town of Wilson is only 1 mile away, it offers:
a bike shop with rentals
a locally owned bagel shop on the creek
Post Office
General store with a great selection of fresh foods and misc. other things including movie rentals
Nora's Fish Creek Inn a great little restaurant with a good wine selection
Pica's a small Mexican eatery
Stagecoach Bar which is a local favorite on Sunday nights with the Stage Coach Band.
We have a great selection of books, maps, and tips about traveling around the area. Feel free to ask any questions about your stay, or the valley in general. I have guided educational trips around the area for the past 3 years, and can help direct you and answer questions.
