Owner's Profile
Owner Description
I am in the Army and have served for over 20 years. I love mountain biking, hiking and spending time sightseeing in Colorado. I lived there for 8 years and never tire of the beautiful sunsets.
Why the Owner Chose Colorado Springs
I bought my home in Colorado Springs in 1995 when I was stationed at Ft Carson. I have since been transferred to other duty assignments, but have kept my home in Colorado because I love the area and have some great friends and memories there. As a vacation rental, we can share our home with others and still use it when we travel back to Colorado.

My friends and I really enjoyed staying here. The house was very clean, and comfortable. It was easy to find the Colorado Springs sites. The price was very reasonable for 4 of us, and the owner was easy to deal with. We will check availability when we return.

I have been visiting Colorado Springs for the past five years. I know the city as well as my own, and It is home to me. On my prior visits I booked a "suite" hotel and decided to do something different this time. I found home and after reviewing other rentals on VRBO kept coming back to this one. I booked without hesitation and I am happy I did. As a Multiple Sclerosis patient I was worried about not having Air conditioning in the middle of July. I can assure you this is not a "deal-breaker". I was comfortable and did not have heat related issues my entire stay. For the first time in five years of visiting the Springs, I finally felt truly at home. It's homey and not overdone with "theme" type design. I felt as I had opened the door to my own home when I walked inside. The neighbors are friendly, and it is right across the street from a lovely park and a quick drive to most other attractions. I will continue to book this home each time I visit. No more hotels for me! I now consider this home my own- hopefully the owner will not mind.

We just finished our stay in this house and enjoyed calling it "home" while we were in Colorado Springs. It was centrally located to all the things we wanted to do and it was easy to get to everything. The house was clean and the neighborhood felt safe. Joan was very easy to work with in getting everything arranged for our stay. Having a kitchen to cook some meals and a washer and dryer to do laundry was great! We would reccommend this property to others who would be visiting Colorado Springs.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. It was the perfect size for the 5 and sometimes 6 of us. It is an easy drive to Fort Carson where my son was stationed. It was so much nicer than being in a hotel. The park is a block away and walmart is just down the road. The owners were easy to work with and very gracious!

This house was absolutely perfect for our stay in Colorado Springs. Our two families came for our 12 year old boys to compete at the Olympic Training Center. We stayed five days and had a wonderful time. The split level allowed for each family to have their privacy but still have access to the kitchen and living are upstairs. We ate out only once and the cooked in the rest of the time. The OTC was a quick 3 block walk and there is a GREAT ice skating rink 3 blocks in the other direction. Joan was super easy to work with, the transaction was smooth and the house is cozy and clean. We definitely plan to stay again next year. Thanks so much for such a super fun time.

From an e-mail "The location was great, it seemed to be about 10 minutes from everything. We took advantage of our time and managed to get a lot done. I was able to mountain bike on 4 days and we hit all the regular tourist spots, pikes peak, royal gorge, garden of the gods, santas workshop, downtown, oldtown, manitou springs, etc... the proximity to the park was nice, we walked there several times. We did enjoy our time out west and with two kids the house made it lot easier to keep our routine."
