The casino for those who feel lucky, or chill at the cottage.
Don’t forget the fishing gear! The inland waterway is 40 miles of clean water where you will pass by protected wildlife refuges, and go thru the locks to go beyond Crooked Lake, to Burt, and then Mullet. Why the Owner Chose Petoskey
I like the west side of the state for many reasons, close to Lake Michigan, hilly topography, better weather. More snow in winter, more sun in summer. And then, the amenities!!!

Launch for access to the Inland Waterway. From Pickerel to Crooked to Burt to Mullet to the Straights to the Great Lakes.
Dining, Shopping, Public Boat Launch (to Little Traverse Bay,Lake Michigan, Lake Charlevoix, Bay Harbor, Harbor Springs) Bike path all the way to Bay Harbor.
Shopping, Dining, If you like to look at huge yachts, take a walk along the pier. Tennis Courts, Small Beach, Drive up 119 ("tunnel of trees") to Goodhart.
Gorgeous Beach, Sunsets over Lake Michigan. (Like being at the ocean) Petoskey stones.
Casual dining, shops, Young's (the closest liquor, bait and incidentals), BC Pizza.
