INDOORS: This 3-bedroom/2-bath chalet-style cabin with rustic décor and vaulted ceiling with exposed beams offers a year round vacation getaway. The cabin sleeps nine and can accommodate two families vacationing together. The master bedroom upstairs with ensuite bath has a magnificent log bed. The second wolf-themed bedroom has a full/twin log bunk bed, and the third bear-themed bedroom has two twin/twin log bunk beds. The two lower bedrooms share a newly renovated bathroom. The beautifully remodeled hickory-wood kitchen is fully equipped with new dishwasher, fridge and microwave. The open-concept living room/dining room/kitchen is great for family togetherness. There are a multitude of board games in the coffee table. Cable TV and Wi-Fi is available in every room, and there are numerous DVD and VHS movies for evenings at home.
OUTDOORS: The very large fully-fenced backyard opens to pine-forested Bijou Park, which has a 27-hole championship disc golf course, playground, skate park, enclosed dog park, basketball courts, grills and gazebos. The private front yard and deck provide mountain views. The meadow at the end of the quiet street is great for walks and spectacular mountain views, and is adjacent to a 9-hole golf course. A paved bicycle path just outside the small neighborhood leads to the Power Line mountain bike trail at the base of Heavenly ski resort. There are ample hiking trails all within a short drive. 5-10 minutes from the gorgeous lake and Heavenly ski resort, as well as the casinos and Tahoe nightlife.

Why the Owner Chose Bijou 1
My husband and I love the West Coast skiing in Tahoe. After staying too many nights in lousy motel rooms, we decided it was time to buy our own place. We soon discovered Tahoe offers endless summer activities in addition to winter skiing. We spent much time remodeling to get that "cabin" feel, and even got married in the backyard.

The only thing that would have made our ski vacation better would have been the presence of SNOW. But that was not the owner's fault! Nor was the house-vibrating noise for 3 nights from he Jr. College New Year celebration. The videos and games advertized were not for our grandkids age level (5-12) although everyone loves Battleship. I would have brought more had I known. But the house was really great and easy to find. We had a wonderful time and would recommend it to anyone.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing.
