The living room and deck offer spectacular views of San Juan Islands to the South, White Rock and Mount Baker to the East and Vancouver and winter ski runs to the north, both of which are lighted at night. Wildlife viewing from the deck includes eagles, egrets, bitterns, seagulls, seals, and others.
Enjoy walks on the sandy beach which extends to over a mile when the tide is out in the summer. Explore tide pools, collect shells, go clamming or swimming.
Extensive cultural activities and shopping, and sightseeing are available in North America's #1 city, Vancouver, British Columbia, which is 30 minutes away.
The Tsawassen Ferry Terminal for BC Ferries to Victoria and the Gulf Islands are within 10 minutes.
Other wildlife commonly cited includes whales at Lighthouse Park with a viewing tower, a 5 minute drive from the house, and The Reifel Island Wildlife Refuge, located on a major flyway in the delta of the Fraser River, a 20 minute drive.

We chose the beach house at Point Roberts because of the remote feel and mountain, water, and wildlife views, the opportunity for salt water kayaking and beach combing at the front door, and the nearness of cultural and shopping activities of a major city nearby.
The Unique Benefits of this Beach House
There are numerous hiking trails on Point Roberts, and of course an endless variety of trails in nearby British Columbia, and the North Cascades in Washington.
