The house was great in every way, exactly as advertised. Location immediately adjacent to the lift, interior clean and well organized, hot tub at 104 degrees and clean! The owner was very helpful in answering questions and getting things set up. Plenty of dishes, towels, soaps, etc. Even lots of good books lying around. The only thing we needed was a little more snow!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

My wife and I recently stayed at this property with several friends and family. It's right on SolVista Ski Mountain, which made it super convenient for our family to ski as much or as little as we wanted. The property itself is stunning, spacious, and everything is top shelf. The large, main gathering place features a gourmet kitchen, which made light work out of cooking huge meals for many hungry people. We slept 12 in total comfort, and had plenty of room for daytime festivities in the house. In the evenings, we enjoyed the grand fireplace and relaxed in the hot tub. Granby is a super quick trip down the hill for groceries, and the skiing at SolVista is great fun for the whole family. We will be back and hope to make this wonderful house a permanent part of our future family trips.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

We were very delighted when we arrived at the house. It was great to see people skiing and sledding by, very good energy. We spent most of the week in the house, or just hanging out at SolVista – we also visited Grand lake (very cool mountain town). House is good size, our family of 10 fit just fine. I would definitely recommend this house and ski area – we hope to make it back next year.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Everything about this experience was excellent from engaging the owner via the internet to closing the door on our exit. The house was one of the best stocked houses I have rented. It had everything you could need and more. It was well decorated and had great internet and ipod stereo connections. The Sol Vista ski resort was an excellent place for my boys, 6 years and 8 years to learn how to ski. It was also great to be able to walk out the door and sled on the ski slope that was closed due to the early season. I hope we get the chance to go back. It was a very relaxing place to spend time with my sister's family (including two boys) and my father (who stayed around the house most of the time). I also loved that the TV and recreation room was downstairs so for those of us who like the quiet, we could avoid the football blaring (yep my dad) and enjoy the fire peacefully.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children.

Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. Everything was awesome. From the beauty of the house, to the ski in-ski out, the storage closet outside, the awesome kitchen, everything was perfect and exactly as it was worded on the website. I know that if we get the chance, all of my family wants to go back to Sol Vista and stay in your house again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

Thank you so much to you and your family for sharing your mountain home with us. We had a great time! Your home was everything and more than we expected. When we left, we could not find our 3 year old son. I searched the whole house while everyone waited in the car. I found him in that back closet in the bunk bed room off the kitchen. He was sitting on a big bean bag pillow crying...."no go home, stay, me go chairlift, no go home" He was really sad to leave. All our kids wanted to stay! I'm so glad we were able to be at such a cool place for our very first family ski trip. After our 16 hour drive yesterday, I was cleaning out the back seat of our car and found pages of coloring pictures that my kids made. The pictures were of your house with mountains and chairlifts. We are actually going to frame them for our house in Minnesota. Your home will always be a special memory for our family. Thank you! We hope we can come back again sometime. We just got back from a spring break trip at SolVista Basin. The house was the perfect place to stay with a big group. We loved the house. It had beautiful views, a very relaxing hot tub, and it was nice and big and you can ski from the house down to the lift. We couldn't have asked for a better home or location. Annie, the leasing agent was a great help. We would definitly stay here again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: We think SolVista Basin (now Ski Granby Ranch) is one of Colorado's best kept secrets; a great family ski resort. All runs end at the base lodge, making it easy to keep an eye on the kids. They also have a challenging snowboard park and top-notch ski school. Summer is a great time to visit, with SolVista Bike Park, Headwaters Golf Course and private trout fishing on the Fraser.
Why the Owner Chose Granby Ranch (formerly SolVista):
Granby Colorado is a great small town with access to the total rocky mountain experience. The area offers a mix of national parks, rivers, lakes, ranches and ski resorts. We got hooked on skiing at SolVista, and the resort towns of Winter Park and Grand Lake have unique character, shopping and restaurants.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Ski-in Ski-out. It is an extremely convenient way to introduce kids to skiing, and engage the whole family in the mountain experience. Plus, watching people ski by while sitting in the hot tub is a hoot.
