Great location - walk down to the beach or stay at home. Cozy back yard with firepit, hot tub and BBQ. Sat outside and had breakfast with the sun on our backs. Would definitely go back.

Everything about this house was great! We enjoyed the well equipped kitchen, the videogames, the deck, BBQ, etc. The house was comfortable with plenty of space for us to spread out and enjoy ourselves. The location is wonderful, close to the beach, grocery.

We had a great week in this beautiful home, Very well decorated, roomy and comfortable. Back yard with spa, fire pit and barbeque is great. Ping Pong table lots of fun and nice bikes to ride. There were 7 of us and we had plenty of room without being on top of each other. Loved the Grand Master suite, didn't want to come home to my bedroom which is small in comparison! Additional Master Suite also was very nice!

Our family of four lead hectic lives, this year in particular. When we walked in the door, we felt like we walked into a HGTV home. On the mantle a wood carving reminds you to "relax". The home is beautifully decorated with everything one could need. The beds were very comfortable. There were games galore, places to be together, and options to read and be alone. We took many walks in the neighborhood, beach and fantastic state park. We loved every minute. The homeowners were wonderful.
Owner response:Thank you for your detailed review! We couldn't be happier that you had a fantastic experience. Can't wait to see you again sometime soon!

Listing and photos on web site accurately reflected the property. Owner gracious and well acquained with local activities. Great home, multi generational visitors, all had exceptionally great time. GrumpyGrandpa loved it! All are ready to return for new adventures. Short walk to the beach. Great ping pong tournament (I lost). Can't remember the last time I played PacMan (I lost). Young bike riders note, bring helmets! Great bike riding in the neighborhood. Highly recommend the property. First time visit to Elkhorn Estuary in Moss Landing, all had a great time. Overall we loved it and are looking forward to a return visit.

We stayed here in Sept of this past year and it was better than we could have hoped. Ironically, the best thing about the house ended up being the atari game table since the kids would get up early and go play instead of waking us up. The walk to the beach was maybe 10 minutes or so, but we do have young kids so our pace is slow. You do not need to bring beach stuff. I bought umbrellas and sand castle stuff and when we got there we discovered a huge selection of chairs, umbrellas, and toys in the garage. The kids are still talking about "Our Beach House Vacation." Oh, also this neighborhood was very quiet so the streets were not too busy to walk down with kids.

Exceptionally clean, and impecably furnished. Short stroll to the path down to the beach. A 6 year old can do it no problem. Well stocked with pots and pans to do cooking. A great place to stay with families especially the video arcade game. Thanks for bringing the 80s back to life with Ms. Pac Man. So wonderful that each room had a bathroom associated with it. Great for families who vacation together. My daughter has allergies and asthma so I am extremely picky about a rental place. I would definitely reserve this place again. She had absolutely no problems.

Lovely home. Small backyard but very nicely landscaped and good amenties (deck, firepit, spa). Grand master bedroom/bathroom very impressive; 2nd master very nice as well. Kitchen is lovely; we could've used a few vacant cabinets to put food in; inside we had to keep everything on the buffet and countertops. The living room is a little dark rather small for 6-8 people staying there. There were lots of great places in the neighborhood to walk and the beach is not far. However, if you want to take alot of things to the beach, better off to drive down there. The bicycles are very nice and we used them and the pingpong table.
Owner response:Thanks for the helpful feedback! I have cleared out more space in the cabinets for renters to store their items. Luckily the kitchen is stocked with large array of serving dishes, pots and pans, blenders, waffle maker, spices etc for your gourmet cooking experience so no need to bring those items. We are also addressing the lighting to make it a little brighter in the living area.

This is a very nice house with a lot of extras. The master suite is amazing; from the relaxing decor to the upgraded bathroom with steam shower and jacuzzi bath. The hot tub, ping pong table, beach cruisers and other toys offer something for everyone. Also, the owners are very helpful and attentive, to the point of giving a call after we arrived to make sure everythings was as expected. We had an amazing time and would stay here again.

It was a perfect setting for our family to spend a weekend and attend a wedding on Sunday afternoon. We all live in different parts of the country and it was so nice to spend time together in the open plan living/kitchen area. The backyard works well with good patio entertainment area. The den area with the front courtyard was nice for the younger folks to hang out and play games. We all enjoyed watching the shy turtle in the pond. Both bedrooms upstairs had good beds and nice bathrooms. Ample parking spaces even for the visitors who stayed at the near by motels. The home was equiped with good quality appliances and fixtures. Everything worked and well maintained. The check out procedures were simple. Thank you for sharing your home with the travelers.

We had an amazing time in Aptos, in large due to this wonderful house! Everything was very clean and new looking in the house. There was plenty of sunlight in the house, a wonderful grill and hot tub outside, and some very comfortable beds. They had everything in the house you would need to enjoy a great weekend at the beach. I really can't recommend this house enough and the owners went out of their way to make sure we were having a great time. We'll be back for sure!

It is impossible to covey how amazing this house is with the website pictures. The decor of this house is what I would call beach chic, and it is fabulous! I love the layout of this house with the kitchen/family/sitting room & extra bedroom on the entry level with the two main bedrooms upstairs. We have found many rentals in the Santa Cruz area have the kitchen/family room upstairs, which can be a problem for families with those who can't navigate stairs too easily. The spacious master bedroom suite (the bed is heavenly and the bathroom is to die for) and modern kitchen are the real jewels of this house though, both are beautiful. The ping pong table is great, we spent a third of our time in heated competition. The house had everything we needed and wanted, the best rental we ever stayed at in Santa Cruz area. Wonderful!

Your house is just beautiful! Our family had a wonderful Christmas reunion, and we were very happy with everything. (Your pictures really don't do the place justice...) The furnishings, decor and kitchen and bathroom upgrades are all so well done... High quality appliances, comfortable beds, well equipped with everything we needed, etc. The kids loved the arcade game! What a great amenity that ended up being. And of course the neighborhood is so quiet, and it's a nice walk down to the beach. I've been renting places at Christmas for various family gatherings for about 20 years now, and it can be hit and miss... But your place really exceeded our expectations. I'm happy we chose your rental! You were very accommodating, and a pleasure to work with. Thanks again for everything, Denise and Dan... :-) Barbara B. in San Diego

This property was perfect for our post-Christmas, three generation family vacation. The house was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, particularly the upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms. The spaciousness of the property immediately gives a sense that all ages will be happy here without getting in each other's way. There are special touches: a chaise lounge in the master bedroom where a little one can be read to quietly away from the hum downstairs; the super retro arcade games in the family room. Although it rained one day, the ping pong table and a stereo system in the garage allowed all ages to carry on playing while the adults enjoyed a film in the living room. The kitchen was wonderful to work in, fully equipped and the open breakfast bar divider allowed whoever was preparing a meal to be part of what was going on in the living/dining area and a good place to set drinks and snacks out for the ever-grazing family. Whether we were cooking, playing or just relaxing there was space for everyone. We would highly recommend this house. The owners were very amenable and even insisted on posting back a telephone charger left behind. The area is a beautiful wooded community, exactly what this English family was looking for to have a non-touristy, idyllic California coastal holiday. Even though it was not beach weather, the walks through crisp air, lots of trees and rural lanes to the beach and surrounding area have something that is missing from more well known resort areas. A half hour drive up the coast takes you to Santa Cruz and Monterey is just an hour south. My children have already asked me to book the house next year.

This is a lovely house with much attention to detail when remodelled. Spacious bedrooms, nice layout of living room/kitchen/dining room for families, beautiful master bathroom with steam shower and jetted tub. Easy access to beach and touristy places like the Boardwalk and Capitola near house. Yard nicely landscaped and fenced in for our children to play. Hot tub for adults was an added bonus!! Owners very easy to work with. Would highly recommed to others!

The house was absolutely beautiful and well cared for. The kitchen and bathrooms were newly remodeled and quite spacious. We loved the steam shower! The bedrooms were also very large and comfortable. The house is a very short walk to the beach and is located in a very nice neighborhood. The owners were very amenable and great to work with. Our family looks forward to staying at this house again.
