Two guest apartments are available for seasonal rental. Each is completely separate, occupying a full floor of the house, with private entrances, living room, dining room, bedroom, full bath, and kitchen. One has a private, English-style rear patio. The other has a rear deck. Just a few steps out the front door are Front Beach and Rockport’s many fine shops, galleries, and restaurants.
The apartments are fully furnished, including telephones, TVs, radios, and well-stocked book shelves. The kitchens are fully equipped for cooking and serving meals. Linens and cleaning are provided weekly. Children can be accommodated, with your porta-crib or our inflatable mattress.
This pre-Revolutionary three-story colonial house, originally built circa 1760 as the first schoolhouse, has been used as a private residence since the 1790s. Its many charming, historic features remain intact, wide-board flooring and wall paneling, fireplaces, wrought-iron hardware, and so forth.
Rockport sits at the tip of Cape Ann, north of Boston, and is easily accessible by air, rail, road and sea. It's a different world once you're here. You can walk almost everywhere. Just unpack, unwind, and enjoy the fresh ocean breezes and the luminous northern light.
Massachusetts' "other cape" is comprised of the towns of Rockport, Gloucester, Essex, and Manchester-by-the-Sea and offers many opportunities for enjoyment and enlightenment. And, it's an especially good place to rest and find peace.
Cape Ann is blessed with an abundance of natural characteristics that conjure up romance and adventure - water views everywhere, many picturesque coves and necks, rocky shores, and sandy beaches.
