We offer a one bedroom two story apartment - overlooking the quaint fishing harbor of Yaquina Bay, in Newport, Oregon. Fully equipped kitchen, two gas fireplaces one in the living room, one in the bedroom, with large (10' x 20') balcony and a jetted tub in the bathroom! Go up a spiral stairway to the upper floor bedroom! Order food from our "Snak Shack" catering truck on the premises! There is also a large deck on the ground floor (good place to hang out, watch the people walk by and view the fishing boats while you eat and surf the net with our wifi capability). Magnificent views of the harbor seem to be constantly changing from the large picture windows in the living room! Restaurants, bars, fishing and sailing trips and more are available within easy walk (or let us book one for you). Tour the home of the famous Rouge brewery here on the Bay and have a meal there while you're at it!
Other local attractions include the Oregon Coast Aquarium, Hatfield Marine Science center, two lighthouses, ocean and bay cruises, an oyster farm, majestic beaches, scenic coastal overlooks and more! We'll arrange a sailing, fishing, or combo tour for you if you like. Crabbing, clamming and fishing are favorite local pastimes. Kite and windsurfing are possible and lessons are available! There is even a local Indian gaming casino nearby with gambling, restaurants, shows and more. There are several events throughout the year in and around Newport that should not be missed! Check with our local Chamber of Commerce website. People tend to book for the Seafood and Wine Festival, in February, far in advance. We have the best seats in Newport for the 4th of July fireworks... our rental apartment balcony! Tuna, salmon, halibut, crab, rock cod and more are some of the varied fish you will find off shore and in our Bay. It would be hard to see it all in a few days!

Why the Owner Chose Newport
I actually chose this location sight unseen from a web listing a broker sent me. He said it had just gone on the market. I was planning to move to the Newport, Oregon, area after 30 some years in California. When he described this property and it's location on the Newport Bay Front I knew it would be a gold mine!
The Unique Benefits of this Two Story Apartment
Sitting in the living room, or on the balcony, looking out over ever changing views of the fishing harbor are the best part of it for me. I also like taking long walks along the Bay Front boardwalk, in front of the building, or by the shops and fisheries along Bay Blvd. It's also an easy hike to where the Bay meets the ocean to Yaquina Lighthouse Park. I also love buying fish right off the boats from some of the fishermen in the harbor. Nothing beats cooking up some fresh fish or crab and eating it while you're looking down on the boats that catch it!
