The apartment is everything we hoped it would be. We were here for 2 weeks to both visit our son who lives in Long Beach and to see the L.B. Grand Prix. The location is perfect and the apartment met our needs and then some. My mother joined us for the 2nd week and she was very comfortable. We hope to come back for a longer period of time in the near future.

We had a wonderful time & absolutely loved your place. It was perfect for our family of 4. Having a kitchen is great when traveling with kids. We did lots while we stayed here - Legoland, Disneyland, Griffith Observatory, Hollywood, Redondo Beach, Santa Monica Pier, & Long Beach. The only thing missing for us was a washer & dryer but managed well. We'd love to come back. If we do, you'll be the 1st we will contact. We will definitely recommend your place. Our 1st visit to Belmont Shore was a positive experience and your apt. was everything we had hoped for and more. The place is superior in comfort & amenities; we enjoyed watching the hustle & bustle of families at the play area across the street. People on the streets of Belmont Shore are very friendly and greeted us with a hello almost every time. The sunshine was lovely as we are visiting from England which tends to be more overcast. We walked to Shoreline Village - reminded me of Maine.

"Pied-a-Terre" was a delight! Beautifully decorated and wonderful colors. It bursts of good times, which we did have. We walked nightly up and down 2nd and enjoyed people watching. The car? You don't need a car when staying in this cute apartment! The perfect location. One day it rained, we went to the Aquarium, after that sunshine. Kites at Seal Beach, Laguna, oh and the restaurants, yum. Our hosts were very attentive and kind, we felt welcomed. The apartment was immaculant, towels, soaps, coffee, you name it. Being an ex-Belmont Shore person (35-years-ago) this was a real treat. I travel out to LB 3 or 4 times a year to visit friends and family and I will check for availabilty everytime for my future visits. I'd like to consider this my little home away from home. I've told several people about the property.

The condo is 2 blocks from 2nd St in Belmont Shore - full of restaurants, bookstores, art, photography, jewelry, etc. Just about everything you would need. A 10-min. walk thru Belmont Shore takes you to the Pacific Ocean & bike path. A restaurant is nearby & a pier stretches into the ocean for fishing or walking. The condo is compact & beautifully decorated. The cupboards are filled with plates, cups, silverware, knives. The beautiful bedroom has a large mirrored closet with drawers.

We really enjoyed our stay at your "Pied-A-Terre." The location was perfect as we were very close to 2nd Street and to many of the local hot spots. Parking was great as the park across the street provided ample parking. The living space was very nice and comfortable as all of the amenities were provided for. The hosts were very hospitable and friendly and would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here for a week and a half in August. We found this apartment very comfortable and immaculate. The comfort level was amazing. The location for 2nd Street was ideal, and we always found a parking spot on the street right in front of the apartment. The only downside we found was that the kitchenette had a small refrigerator and small stove top so we didn't do alot of meal prep here, but hey you are minutes from 2nd street and the food there is great. We would definitely stay here again, and as stated earlier, I feel the hosts are now part of our family.

I appreciated having the cooking materials - microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot, etc. It was great to have a hair blower and 2 TVs! The locale is fabulous - fun to walk down all through 2nd Street. This is a remodeled flat that is open and clean, it has fresh air instantly do to all the great windows, our kids loved it because of the views. It offers your choice of many types of restaurants 1 block away mixed with all types of shopping. There are many bays with beaches very close, as well as the ocean. The bed was very comfortable, and I have a bad back. Great shower with good pressure, cool kitchen, and good living spaces. It was really easy to make quick friends with our hosts, then they let us do our thing. If we needed them they are always ready to help though. 2 hints: Do NOT think you can park your car in their driveway on street sweeping mornings, you will block the sidewalk and have to pay $49 (I was there 10 minutes to load up and got nailed). At CVS you can buy a 3 pack of ice and 2 bags will fit in the little freezer side by side. EASY 10 out of 10! Thanks Colleen and Al !!

Owner response:We also learned that from first hand experience while parked in our own driveway with our car about 3 feet into the sidewalk. Unfortunately, the city is eager to collect extra revenue!

Would Lease Again, Recommend to Friends/Relatives - Great Owners We rented the appartment for our family reunion during the last week in May 2011, the place is very well furnished and clean. The kitchen is compact but equipped to cook a big meal and owners were very helpful to explain operations. The 2nd street were local shops and places to eat are located is within walking distance and a great place to shop/eat. Centerally located to start a day tour, we visited Laguna Beach, Santa Monica Beach, Malibu Beach, Getty Villa and San Diago.

We stayed here last week for a wedding we had to attend and this was such a cozy and wonderful place. I was a little worried since we had a 16 month old and there were stairs going down to the front door and no bathtub. However, after rearranging the furniture a bit (used the single seater couch to block the stairs) and have my husband shower w/ my son it worked out perfectly. The place is perfect for a family. Everything was so nice and the bed was surprisingly very comfortable. We loved that there was a park/playground for young kids right across the street..which my son absolutely loved. The location of this condo was better than we expected. It was one block away from all the restaurants and shops and a few blocks from the beach. My husband and I say we should just sell our 5 bdr home and move to this condo. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to CA. My only complaint would be that when we showered, the hot water didn't last very long. My husband just showered in the evenings and I showered in the mornings to prevent a cold shower. Besides that everything else was great.

Owner response:In regards to the lack of hot water, we appreciate our guest bringing this to our attention, and have scheduled our contractor to check the 2-year old water heater.

We just spent a wonderful week at this home in Belmont Shore. If you want to walk to shops and restaurants this is a great location. Easy to find, parking was easy and location was quiet. Park across the street is great for children. Owner met us upon arrival and showed us where things were and made us feel welcome right off the bat. The house is beautiful, even more beautiful than it appears on the pictures. The neighbourhood is quiet, and it is close to shops and resturants. The photos and title describe this apartment very accurately. We agree with all the other reviews and want to add that the apartment is very quiet at night and the bed was very comfortable too.....we slept like babies. Colleen even put a soothing sound machine in the bedroom, just in case we have trouble sleeping. The place had everything for 2 picky senior citizens from New York City. It is easy and a pleasure to recommend this lovely place to anyone looking for a business or vacation stay in the Long Beach area. We had the pleasure of staying in this appealing one bedroom suite in Belmont Shore for twelve days. We had already stayed in a beautiful hotel suite for two days when we saw the ad for the Belmont Shore “pied-à-terre.” After only a few minutes in Colleen’s place, we knew we would be moving in. It has all the amenities you would want (including laundry service!), and the decor is warm and inviting. After only a day, you feel like you’re in a new, but familiar home. The entry is completely private, and, from a neighbor’s hedge, there is the scent of jasmine outside the door. The living room is lighted with windows, and overlooks charming Livingston Park through a pair of French doors that can be opened to let in the ocean breeze, or simply look out on another beautiful Southern California day. The bedroom, toward the back, is very quiet and comfortable, and decorated with an easy and elegant style that gives again a very pleasing and inviting home-away-from-home feel to your new accommodations. The owner, Colleen, was always easily available and a pleasure to work with. She even made a special call to remind us of street sweeping days. And she offers access to the backyard, should you wish to BBQ outdoors. In addition, it would be difficult to imagine a nicer location. On a quiet and comfortable block, you are still only steps away from all Belmont Shore has to offer: shopping, restaurants, coffee, or just a walk in a lively beach side community. We enjoyed several of the restaurants within walking distance, and were able to buy coffee and delicious fresh-baked pastries within just a short stroll from the front door. (Recommended places include Le Creperie, Bono’s, or Lucille’s-- all just down the street. Delicious pastries at Babette’s and coffee at Polly’s or Starbucks.) If you are coming to Long Beach, this accommodation should definitely be at the top of your list. Highly recommended! We were sorry to leave, and hope to return again.

Very nicely furnished and decorated. The location near a children's play ground worked out well for our visit to the grand kids. The small fridge and kitchen are very well equipped for cooking breakfast and simple meals. Everything met or exceeded our expectations. Al and Colleen are gracious hosts. We had a wonderful time.
