Tranquil, waterfront retreat in West Seattle.
Beach Drive in West Seattle is just south around the bend from Alki Beach. On Alki, restaurants and shops and people watching abound. This is all within easy walking distance of this condo.
Yet, upon immediately entering this retreat, one is struck by the captivating, serene and panoramic view of Puget Sound, the Olympic Mountains, and Ferry Boats as they cruise to and from the neighboring islands.
Beach Drive/Alki Beach has an island feel yet Downtown Seattle is 15 minutes away. By car, public transportation or Elliot Bay Water taxi- all connect you to Pike Place Market, Downtown Shopping and Theatres and Museums, Seattle Waterfront, Safeco Ballpark of the Seattle Mariners, Qwest Field - home of our NFL Seahawks and FC Seattle Sounders.
Downtown Seattle is the contemporary heart of the Pacific Northwest, but Alki is the Birthplace of Seattle. Alki, Beach Drive and its West Seattle residents reflect the personality and character of the Seattle that retains its connections with the past. Some things are better left unchanged...
This is true waterfront living - the property is 90 feet wide and extends over 100 feet into Puget Sound. The retreating tide provides opportunities for beachcombing.
You may actively engage the outdoors or quietly observe from the condo - the marine life, kayakers and divers who frequent the water off Beach Drive.
The modern interior environment of the condo features bamboo hardwood floors, tile, and natural wool carpet in bedrooms. In floor radiant heat and a natural gas fireplace take the chill out of any cool Seattle morning. Natural light is abundant in this westerly-facing condo.
The sunsets are magnificent! Summer temperatures are quickly tempered by the cool breeze off the water. There is nothing else like it. The sounds of the water and close-contact to nature within a metropolitan environment is definitely unique.

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2008
Elaine and Bill Hill. We moved to Seattle in 1977 from Australia and before that Japan. Family history has instilled a nomad lifestyle to some degree. We are always curious about new places and different cultures. Sharing what we love about Seattle with others who enjoy travel is what we want to do at this point in our lives. We hope our guests will take away with them great memories of the Pacific Northwest. We also hope you will return. Better yet, we hope you never lose your sense of wanderlust...
Why the Owner Chose West Seattle
We moved to Seattle 32 years ago and have always been captivated by the water - the sea. Simply, where, we thought, can you live so close to what the City of Seattle has to offer, yet be in harmony with nature? We have the best of both worlds on Beach Drive.
The Unique Benefits of this Condominium
The West Seattle community is truly a hidden gem. Although, development is rapidly encroaching upon this bedroom community of Seattle, West Seattle has managed to remain friendly, approachable and immune to the strife of inner city life. What is apparent on Beach Drive is people walking, walking their dogs, riding bikes, pushing baby strollers and stopping to talk and visit with neighbors or complete strangers. The beach is perfect for collecting shells and discovering the shoreline of Puget Sound. Summers are very warm, and it's easy to forget you're in Seattle. During winter, the condo is a safe sanctuary to view the storms that send the water crashing over the rocks beyond the bulkhead. The view from the condo is ever-changing. The sunsets are gorgeous!
