Vancouver, home of the 2010 Olympics, by Ferry, approx. 1 1/2 hours from Sechelt . Visit the world famous "Skookumchuk Narrows" where kayakers from all over the world play; then carry on up to "Princess Louisa Inlet", and "Chatterbox Falls" . Amazing, mind blowing scenery. Year Purchased: 2006
This is a garden level suite in our home, and we have lived here for about 10 years. We love the Sunshine Coast of BC, because it is gorgeous, close to all amenities for us, and reasonably quiet. A forty minute ferry ride to Vancouver takes us to all the extra facilities required; "Celebration of the lights", an International display of fireworks, live theatre, musseums, art galleries, shopping, and the 2010 Olympics.
The Unique Benefits of this Garden Suite
We are across the street from the ocean,and there is a beach access. Sit on a log, and watch the Cruise Ships and sunsets. There is fishing close by, boat tours, hiking, golfing, kayaking, swimming, dragon boating, and we are on the BC Ferry Circle Tour Route. We also have a very famous "Sechelt Festival of the Written Arts", every August, where authors from around the world gather and talk about their latest books. We look across Georgia Straits at Vancouver Island, and the beautiful Coastal mountains.
