Year Purchased: 2000
Own and operate a commercial design firm in Columbus, Ohio that services the Long Term Care, Healthcare and Hospitality industries. Married with two kids 14 and 11 years old. Love to fish, ski, play soccer and travel as a family. We are Christian believers and go to Vineyard of Columbus church.
Why the Owner Chose Hocking Hills
We use to live in Hide Away Hills in the early 90' s and feel in love with the community. In fact, our oldest was born while we were living on the lake in another home. Our lake home is good for our soul and with a high-stress life, 911 allows us to relax, slow-down and enjoy each other and nature.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The house is directly on the water and has the best view of the entire lake (it was the first house built on the lake and we bought from original owners). The house was fully renovated 4 years ago from top to bottom where we based the design around an Italian kitchen we purchase in Chicago from the Merchandise Mart where that exact kitchen was highlighted on HDTV. We used mainly all natural finishes from slate walls to cherry wood trim to marmolium flooring. The space is dramatic yet comfortable and easy to maintain and keep clean. All finishes are anti-microbial to help reduce allergy issues for those that stay. We created dramatic fireplace flanked by hide-away bookcase for stereo and blanket storage. The entire lake-side of the house is a window-wall which brings nature right into the space with all the convenience of everyday life. One-day we will add onto the house and live down there full-time after the kids go off to college.

I have never got to go to places like this.."But I could say this is probably the most beautiful lake cabin I have found" If i could go this would be my choice it has a great lake view. It would be great place for your friends or a christian retreat...
