Mandalay POol Home pERFECT

Highly recommend this property. Excellent location in a quiet residential neighborhood, yet within walking distance of the beautiful Gulf Coast beaches, a variety of restaurants, and shopping. The house is well appointed, comfortable and very clean -- in fact, it looks as though the decorators and painters just left. And a great pool, too! I'd have not problem returning to this house.

Owner response:Thank you David! We strive to keep our vacation homes in tip top shape.

Great location and exactly as advertised

Myself and group of friends and family from around Florida and across the country rented this house for a weekend trip, and we could not have been happier with the location and setup of the house. The house was literally a block and half from a really great beach and located in a nice little neighborhood. There were also plenty of small shops and a few golf courses within easy driving distance. Overall, we were thrilled to find the place was actually slightly nicer than the pictures made it look and had plenty of beds for a fairly large group. Additionally, Dana Parks was great to deal with and was flexible with our check-in and check-out times which was incredibly helpful, particularly given our various arrival and departure times. I would highly recommend this rental.

Relaxing vacation

This was our first time renting a house, also our first vacation with two 3 year olds. We decided a house would be better than a hotel and we were right. It was perfect for our needs. Kids loved the pool in the back yard. It was a SHORT walk to the beach. We would walk 'home' to use the bathroom and back. Very nice, non-crowded beach area. Saw dolphins swimming daily. Also not too far to walk to the Pier. Local trolley ran right past the house and would drop us off in front of the house. There was plenty of room in this house for 2 or more families. Sleeps 8 in the nice sized bedrooms and 2 on the couch (we didn't pull it out, though). 2 nice bathrooms, washer and dryer - was great! We didn't have to pack as many clothes and came home with clean clothes. There were beach towels there for our use, too. Overall, extremely pleased with our choice and would love to return someday. Thanks again, Dana! PS - we recommend visiting Clearwater Marine Aquarium and taking the Pirate Cruise. Kids loved both and are still saying Argh, Matey!

Wonderful home and rental experience

This was our first experience with renting a home but we were so glad that we did! The home was just as stated on the site. It was clean, well maintained and had everything that we needed. It is just one block from the beach and walking distance from town. There is a book that the owner has left to tell you were the grocery store is and all the "favorite" spots to go! The pool was very nice to have also! We loved it and will put down as one of our favorite vacations!!

Mandalay Beach House

The abode was delightful. We let the two little girls sleep in a queen room off the kitchen, and being cousins they enjoyed it bundles. My wife and I took the king at the front behind the TV in the living room. My daughter and hubby took the room next to the girks, and my son and wife took the other queen. The only thing we were disappointed about was the ride in. It took almost an hour to go 4 miles in the traffic, and of course, downtown Clearwater Beach on the way to Mandalay had people just standing in the street. We had a wonderful time, women and kids to the beach (and pool) and guys to a golf course. It really ended too soon, but that's vacations. Dave

Clearwater Beach 2011

We found the Mandalay Pool House exactly as advertised and perfect for our family's needs. The owner was responsive and personable throughout the rental process. The quiet neighborhood location is perfect for taking advantage of all Clearwater Beach has to offer and nearby Spring Training activities. Our only problem was too much fun and not enough time! We have already recommended the property to friends and family.

Perfect Beach Get Away

OK...I am blown away...this home is incredible. My husband and I rent/swap properties 2-3 times/year and your home absolutely exceeds our expectations. Every thing we need is here...and in plentiful amounts - linens, towels (even beach towels), dinnerware and a multitude if appliances...a gourmet cook would be in heaven. And the decor is perfectly beachy...location ideal - within walking distance of shops/restaurants...and quiet. Our granddaughters were in the pool yesterday from 7am and had a blast. Sun's out...we're off to the beach!

My family enjoyed a wonderful week at the Mandalay Pool home. The house was immaculate. It is very spacious if you are traveling with a large number of people. We never felt crowded. Each room was exactly as pictured on the internet. We loved the beach house theme. We had just a short walk to the beach. The beach was amazing, the sand was white and soft. It was also just a short walk to the various shops and Pier 60. That was wonderful since we were traveling with teenagers. The backyard was our favorite spot to be in the evenings. We sat around the table and played cards or just talked. The pool was also amazing. We spent many afternoons laying in the lounge chairs and swimming in the pool. It was always clean and clear. The owner was absolutely wonderful. She answered all the questions that I had prior to reserving the house. She followed up shortly before we arrived and also assured us that we could call her anytime if we needed anything. We had such a wonderful experience that we are thinking of returning next year. I would enthusiastically recommend the Mandalay Pool home to friends, relatives and anyone I meet. It felt like home, and I hated to leave. Best vacation I have had in years!

Multiple stays for family reunions

Guest: Larry (Clearwater)
Date of Stay: 07/03/10 Review Submitted: 06/16/11

We have stayed at the Mandalay pool home three times and our fourth is coming this weekend. The purpose has always been to reunite our family for a fun vacation. From the first time we stayed we absolutely fell in love with the house and location. The pool is and patio are perfect for family swimming, cookouts, and socializing. The house is furnished in FLA color schemes and the furniture is is comfy and tasteful. The beach is just a short walk away as are the wonderful sunsets over the Gulf. Several businesses are within walking distance and for other restaurants and a grocery store it is a short car ride. Highly recommend Frenchy's for a Cajun Grouper Sandwich - the best! The owners of the home the most accommodating people I have had the experience of renting from. Always helpful, cordial, and cooperative. They truly want their patrons to enjoy their stay. Each time I propose to our family that it may be time for the "beach house" rendezvous the unanimous response is, "we're in"!! We recommend the Mandalay pool home wholeheartedly!!

Awesome house!

We had a great vacation at the Mandalay Pool home. The house is newly renovated and very nice, clean and spacious, it has everything you need. The backyard is very private with an extraordinary pool and nice tropical vegetation. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, a 2 minute walk to the awesome beach and also very close to Clearwater's main attractions like the pier, marina and restaurant district. The trolley stops almost in front of the house, so there is no need for a car really. The owners are very nice and helpful people, we had a very good vacation and hopefully will go back there.

This house was the perfect place to all get together and relive old menorires while also creating new ones. We loved the pool and used it every day! This place felt like a home away from home while we were on vacation and appreciate everything very much. xoxo

Dana, I just wanted to Thank You so very much for allowing us to rent the Mandalay Pool House. My family and I had a wonderful week in Florida, and it made such a difference to have your home available to us last week. I believe we left it in good condition and were not too loud for your neighbors. Please let me know if there were any problems that I am not aware of. Again, thank you and we hope to be able to do this again next year. Rose Mayer & Family

Hi Dana Kathy and I have not quit talking about your place on Mandalay since we got home last year. I belong to the American Legion here in Wanatah and have spread the work about your rentals. I am enclosing an e-mail address from one of our members that has shown quite a bit of interest. They would appreciate hearing from you and would like to view some more pictures. Hope it works out ! Chuck
