The Grand Canyon Cabin is a little hidden gem in Southern Utah. It is located in the Ranchos area of Kanab, just a couple of minutes to town. The log cabin is situated on 2 private acres amid the red rocks surrounded with breathtaking views. Enjoy the warmth and privacy of the cabin while you explore the wonders of Southern Utah.

The Grand Canyon Cabin is ideally located for visiting the national parks as day trips while returning to the comfort and quiet of the cabin. Spend the evening in town with dinner and a movie or hang out at the cabin, throw something on the grill and enjoy the amazing night sky.

Kanab is the gateway to the national parks. It's just 45 minutes to Zions National Park, 1 1/2 hrs to Bryce Canyon, 1 1/2 hrs to Grand Canyon North Rim, 1 hr to Lake Powell, 30 minutes to the Coral Pink Sand Dunes and 15 minutes to the Grand Staircase Escalante.

Recreational opportunities abound with hiking, ATV riding, horseback riding, golfing, boating, fishing and more.

The Grand Canyon Cabin is pet-friendly with a fenced portion of yard and an adjoining covered dog/cat run. It's only 15 minutes to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary which is home to about 2000 animals at any given time and whose guiding philosophy is: kindness to animals builds a better world for all of us.

Historic Kanab, nicknamed "Little Hollywood" for all the western movies filmed here, still has the old west feel and friendliness. Kanab is home to the annual Western Legends Roundup each August. Come enjoy cowboy country.

  • First, we'd like to say that Dru and Bob are tremendous: friendly, welcoming, accommodating, helpful and very easy to work with. The cabin is delightful. We stayed in late October while volunteering at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary for a week. It's less than 5 minutes to town and about 15 minutes to the animal sanctuary. They have stocked the cabin with your every need, from spare animal blankets for sleep overs, a washer/dryer since you get dirty if you walk or hike, a cooler for road trips and hiking, extra soap and lotion and tons of information on local parks and entertainment. We highly recommend staying here! You'll love it!

  • I stayed here for a week while volunteering at Best Friends, and I will definately stay again. It was perfect for my needs - Dru and Bob couldn't have been nicer, and the scenery and location are awesome. Highly recommend for a single or couple.

  • Our stay at the Grand Canyon cabin was GREAT! The location of the Cabin near the National parks could'nt be better. Coming home to the tranquility of the cabin after a long day hiking and sightseeing was a PERFCT ending to every day!

  • What can I say that the other posters haven't said? The Grand Canyon cabin is perfect for a person alone or a couple. I have had such a wonderful six days here that I regret having to leave tomorrow. The cabin is roomy, simply but beautifully furnished, supplied with all you could want, and best of all--has windows in every direction that open up to the gorgeous red rock cliffs, pinyons, and sage of southern Utah. Dru even brought over a collection of books she thought I would like to read after I had talked to her about an event in Utah history I was interested in. I hope to come back!

  • Absolutely perfect for us! We were looking for privacy and a base camp for our wilderness exploits,and this more than fit the bill. The cabin had everything we needed, and more. Bob and Dru were so friendly and accommodating in helping us get established, then left us to enjoy their little part of the world. Would definitely stay again!

  • I can't say enough about how wonderful this cabin is... My niece and I came to Kanab, UT for a week to volunteer at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. This cabin was absolutely perfect for the 2 of us! It was so homey and inviting, not to mention functional! The owners thought of everything that you could possibly need during your stay.   • Wow, our Grand Canyon cabin stay was spectacular! The location is perfect, and offers more then the pictures tell. Quiet, private, and star viewing galore, not to mention the backyard red rock view. The cabin is in perfect condition, and very cool, and comfortable. Fenced, dog friendly yard, and even dog bowls blankets and towels for your four footed one. We will be visiting this cabin again, and give it a HUGE 'thumbs up'.
