The Grand Canyon Cabin is a little hidden gem in Southern Utah. It is located in the Ranchos area of Kanab, just a couple of minutes to town. The log cabin is situated on 2 private acres amid the red rocks surrounded with breathtaking views. Enjoy the warmth and privacy of the cabin while you explore the wonders of Southern Utah.
The Grand Canyon Cabin is ideally located for visiting the national parks as day trips while returning to the comfort and quiet of the cabin. Spend the evening in town with dinner and a movie or hang out at the cabin, throw something on the grill and enjoy the amazing night sky.
Kanab is the gateway to the national parks. It's just 45 minutes to Zions National Park, 1 1/2 hrs to Bryce Canyon, 1 1/2 hrs to Grand Canyon North Rim, 1 hr to Lake Powell, 30 minutes to the Coral Pink Sand Dunes and 15 minutes to the Grand Staircase Escalante.
Recreational opportunities abound with hiking, ATV riding, horseback riding, golfing, boating, fishing and more.
The Grand Canyon Cabin is pet-friendly with a fenced portion of yard and an adjoining covered dog/cat run. It's only 15 minutes to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary which is home to about 2000 animals at any given time and whose guiding philosophy is: kindness to animals builds a better world for all of us.
Historic Kanab, nicknamed 'Little Hollywood' for all the western movies filmed here, still has the old west feel and friendliness. Kanab is home to the annual Western Legends Roundup each August. Come enjoy cowboy country.
Come enjoy the west... and stay a spell.

This is a dream spot for a reunion week with a good friend. The cabin is so thoughtfully furnished and well maintained - welcoming and restful, and so beautifully located that a glance out any window is a joy. Climate control systems work well and quietly, beds are comfortable. In other words, if you like the pictures, the reality is even better! It's lovely to be so conveniently close to town - yet out in the red hills with enough quiet and natural beauty to make civilization (and schedules and 'to do' lists) seem miles away - and to provide stunning night skies every evening we were there. Bob and Dru are gracious hosts and wonderful sources of local information. And the Kanab area is a terrific home base for a wide variety of great days. We had easy (gorgeous) drives to Bryce and Zion, and enjoyed the closer pleasures of the Kanab area and Grand Staircase Escalante. The kitchen is well equipped - making it easy to cook in. And town is just a few minutes away for the times you want to eat out. A place we would highly recommend to friends & family - as long as they don't interfere with our ability to schedule a return.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Dru and Robert have succeeded in providing the home away from home with their cabin. The feeling of sanctuary was present as we drove up the driveway. Everything we needed and they were wonderful to work with, prompt and professional. I only hope we can return sooner rather than later. Thanks again Dru and Robert.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+.

Writing the 37 review seems unnecessary as I agree with the previous reviews; however just must repeat that Bob and Dru are the best, most helpful hosts and have perfected the running of a vacation cabin to a high art. The owners have created an especially pleasing environment for rest and relaxation within their Grande Canyon Cabin. It has all of the amenities you could wish for and as hosts they have many helful suggestions for taking advantage of all the area has to offer. The cabin provides the perfect location for launching out to explore any one of a number of parks and national monuments such as Zion and Escalante. We had a wonderful time during our stay and highly recommend them to others.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

As you can see, this property has received many wonderful reviews. I echo what the other reviewers have written but want to add a couple of other things....I have stayed in several VRBO properties over the years including one in Kanab on a previous trip. What makes this property particularly nice is that is it EXCLUSIVELY a rental. In other words, the owners are not using it for personal use. Their clothes, family photos, knick knacks, etc are not there. It makes for a much nicer experience when you don't feel like you are interloper in the owner's personal life. There is also a very nice book collection--- a whole variety of interesting books & something for all interests. I also loved how some basic food items were on hand when we arrived: coffee, tea, olive oil, peanut butter, condiments, etc. Very handy to have a few things on hand. These owners know what they are doing!Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

My husband & I (and our 2 dogs) spent 5 nights here during Christmas and had a wonderful time! The cabin is set in a neighborhood of large lots but is in a secluded area and the views from it are outstanding. It was very comfortable for the 2 of us and had everything we needed. The fenced yard for the dogs was great, they had plenty of room to run around and play. The cabin made a great base camp for our excursions to Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Zion and some old stomping grounds east of us (Cottonwood Canyon & Cockscomb/Paria area) as both my husband and I lived in Flagstaff, AZ for 11+ years, it was so much fun to re-visit some favorite areas on the Colorado Plateau. Thanks much for the relaxing & memorable stay!!Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

My husband and I are frequent visitors to Kanab and prefer to stay in vacation rentals over hotel rooms. We figure that for about the same price - you get more privacy, more space, and a place where you have the option to prepare and eat meals at home if you’d like. We had our eye on this cabin for some time and were lucky enough to find some available dates on our most recent trip. What an absolute delight this cabin is! Even though there are homes on either side of the cabin, you do not see them because of the land topography, trees, and the fact that the cabin is situated on a 2+ acre parcel of land. As other reviewers have noted, it has a wonderful feeling of seclusion, although you are only about a 5 minute drive into town. And the views…the views!...something different from every direction and my favorite are the gorgeous red rock cliffs literally right out the back door. Add this to the other rave reviews, this is truly an amazingly special rental. Book this one – if you can!Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

This was our 6th trip to Kanab. We've tried many different options. Grand Canyon cabin was definitely the best accomodations we've experienced! The cabin and grounds are perfect, tranquil spaces that are relaxing and comfortable. The property is located in close proximity to downtown Kanab, Best Friends and several National and State Parks. The owners have thought of every amenity. It's simply WONDERFUL!Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.
