We enjoyed a 4 night stay at this wonderful accommodation and would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys peace and quiet and their own 'space' in a characterful setting. The cabin is extremely well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It's in a great central location to Zion, Bryce & the north rim of Grand Canyon. Bob gave us a very warm welcome and explained all we needed to know. Coming from Ireland it was a great opportunity to experience American log cabin living & very nice it was too! If we were ever to tour in that area again we would have no hesitation in returning to this property. Thanks Bob & Dru

I highly recommend the 'Grand Canyon Cabin in Kanab' to anyone looking to explore southern Utah and wanting a home base. It was the perfect location to day trip out to the national parks and forests such as Bryce, Zion, Vermilion Cliffs, etc. Bob and Dru were the most gracious hosts providing every comfort of home within the cabin. I didn't want nor need of anything. I look forward to my returning trips!

We recently stayed at the Grand Canyon Cabin for 5 nights and were extremely pleased with our choice. The property was clean, cozy, convenient to town and Best Friends Animal Sanctuary (where we were volunteering for the week) and private. The view of the red cliffs behind the cabin were absolutely beautiful. It was so quiet and peaceful that we felt as if we were miles and miles from anyone else, even though we were close to everything. The owners were so great - easy to communicate with, gracious and hospitable. This was our first stay at the cabin but we will most definitely stay again! Highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed during the middle of October and found it to be the perfect home base for our adventures - Grand Canyon, Zion, Buckskin Gulch, Cedar Breaks National Monument, and volunteering at Best Friends (which included a doggie sleepover!). The photos don't do this rental justice. The cabin is clean, comfortable and just adorable with incredible unobstructed views of the red cliffs. I can't speak highly enough of Dru and Bob. They were so friendly and accommodating. We are already talking about a return trip!

Cabin was exactly what we needed for our adventure vacation in southern Utah in early October. Close to Zion, Grand Canyon, Buckskin Gulch and many more recreation locations. Property very clean, full of amenities, beautifully decorated and near restaurants and grocery. Thank you Bob and Dru for your wonderful hospitality!

The Best! Ever!! Vacation!!! 2 weeks surrounded by red rocks and absolute peacefulness... the adventures are close by if you want them and there is plenty of literature to tell you what to do and where to go. Dru and Bob are like family and if you need something or have a question or need help getting the bird out of the house, just call them. The dog run was especially useful for when I needed to run errands and Claudia, the dog sitter for longer absences, is terrific. (She's also a massage therapist, details in the literature bin.) The "yard" is completely fenced and my younger dog was determined to explore every inch; she had a GREAT time! The Xpress Internet folks fixed the router after the lightning knocked it out like the professionals in the big cities (actually MUCH faster!) Haircuts at La Bella are also highly recommended, should you need one. My favorite local road trip is Angel Canyon, just north of town, a dirt road that's easily passable unless there's been heavy rain. Second favorite is Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, also north of town. You won't believe the color of the sand. But just walking around the neighborhood will lift your spirits because you are engulfed in magnificent scenery that you won't find anywhere else. Can't wait to go back! Listing, photos, quality of furnishings, cleanliness - all top notch! Thanks, Dru and Bob!

My wife and I stayed at the Grand Canyon Cabin for a month in June/July 2011 and absolutely loved our time there. The cabin is quaint, cute and luxurious at the same time. It is located by itself down a short drive in a very nice neighborhood, with no other house behind it to the beautiful red cliffs. (We went hiking up the cliffs right from our backdoor!). The house has a fenced yard in the back and a very large, wonderfully constructed dog/cat kennel beside the house. Perfect if you have a pet with you. The inside of the cabin is well-appointed, well-maintained and extremely clean, with soft sheets, towels, toiletries and lots of kitchen accessories such as spices, oils, pots, pans, glasses, etc. It is a small cabin, but it never felt that way, with plenty of room for two people. The many windows let in the beautiful outside views. We never pulled the blinds. You can't see any other house or the road from the cabin. The owners of the cabin manage it themselves and live just a few blocks away if you need anything (which you probably won't). They are a great couple who take a lot of pride in the property and it shows. I was working as a vet tech intern at Best Friends for the month. Each day I would drive to work and it was an easy 10-15 minute drive to the Best Friends sanctuary which is north of Kanab town. The downtown area of Kanab is only 4-5 minutes away. Don't think you need to stay in the town itself if this cabin sounds right for you. My wife and I went into town to shop or for dinner numerous times without trouble. Also, if you are volunteering at Best Friends and want to bring home a dog or cat for a sleepover, this is an excellent property (especially for dogs). We brought home a dog four or five times. (If you bring home a dog and let it outside, be careful to check the dog for foxtails and remove any you see -- a foxtail is a nasty seed that likes to embed itself inside an animal's coat and skin. Better yet, ask the owners to have the back yard mowed to reduce the foxtail weeds.) Overall I would recommend this property to anyone, whether you are staying just a few days or longer. If you are staying for a longer period, this property is ideal, given its amenities and location.

We recently enjoyed an eight night stay at the Grand Canyon Cabin. We had a great stay and really enjoyed the cabin. Everything was just as described: Comfortable, great views, privacy, centrally located and with awesome views! We spent 4 days volunteering at the Best Friends animal sanctuary and we were ready to relax at the end of the day. We watched the sunset from the Adirondack chairs on the front porch and enjoyed a beautiful southern Utah view. We took several days trips including Bryce Canyon, Zion and Coral Dunes state park. Dru has plenty of information available on all the area attractions as well as Wi Fi access to do your own research. The cabin was well stocked with everything that you may need including a cooler to take along on your travels. I would gladly recommend the cabin to anyone traveling to the Kanab area. Dru made the booking process easy and was available to address any questions we had. Why stay in hotel when you can stay in such a comfortable home. Thanks Dru. We have used VRBO many times and this property is the best value we have found so far. It’s a fair price, very clean, well kept and even nicer than it looks in the photos.

We had a great time staying at the cabin. It was our first trip to the area and we had no idea how beautiful it is there. It really was a feast for our eyes, as Dru and Bob said it would be. The best part was that we could bring our furry kids and boy did they love it. The backyard and surrounding area was peaceful and quiet, as well as safe for them to explore. We stayed 4 nights and visited Zion National Park and Best Friends. The stars were so bright at night and there was still a little bit of snow on the ground. It was wonderful. We definitely hope to be back!

I traveled to Kanab for the purpose of adopting a dog from Best Friends Animal Society. I had ten wonderful days at the Grand Canyon Cabin. I traveled with one dog and adopted another. The cabin was the perfect spot to introduce two dogs. There wasn't one thing I could come up with that wasn't thought of by this wonderful couple. The large fenced area for the dogs was clear of cactus concerns. The cabin was well stocked with basic items as well as a washing machine & dryer. Even the views were grand. I traveled in a motorhome and there is a wonderful parking area. Goodness, I this was the best rental in all of my travels. Well done! Valerie, Pumpkin & Firefly

Cannot say enough about our stay in Oct. 2010. We came to the area to volunteer at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and to see some of the National Parks. The pictures do not do this fabulous place justice. Bob and Dru were very accommodating and very helpful with things to do in the area. They have everything there you could possibly need. The views are spectacular. We loved the place sooo much, we didn't want to leave. Hope to be back here again, for a longer stay this time. Thank you Bob and Dru for a wonderful stay at your cabin. We got some great pictures from the front deck of the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. I keep telling my husband that I would love to live here. The bed was so comfortable, even better than my own. Absolutely in love with this cabin. Highly recommend a stay here.

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon last week. The cabin was a perfect jumping off point for visits to Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. The pictures here don't do it justice - this place really is a dream come true for a couple seeking solace, beauty, and rest. We truly appreciated just how private the cabin felt, but how close we still were to town. Sunrise and sunset were gorgeous everyday. We had everything we needed at the cabin, including a cooler we could take on our day trips. We were both sad to leave when it was time to go, but hopefully we'll be back. I couldn't recommend this place more highly!

I can't say enough good things about the Grand Canyon Cabin. No details were overlooked. The owners Bob and Dru were so friendly, accommodating and helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay in Kanab. The location of this cabin is fantastic! It worked out perfect for us to visit Zion Ntl park, North Rim Grand Cabin and Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. The cabin is very clean and the perfect size for a couple. It was fully stocked with linens, pots, pans etc. There was even a cooler to use for our day trips! We could not believe how quiet and private the cabin was. No noise at night, no light pollution. Beautiful sunsets and star filled night sky. I Did not want to go home to surburbia that's for sure. You will not be disappointed in this cabin. There is a nice front porch to relax on, as well as a nice deck off the back. It was so nice to have the washer and dryer too! We will definitely be back someday soon. Thanks Bob & Dru!

A friend and I stayed at the cabin for three nights in July and found it to be a wonderful base from which to visit Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, Grand Staircase Escalante and other such amazing destinations. The attention to detail in the accomodation is superb and it really feels like home - it was difficult to drag ourselves away. If you're planning to visit the area look no further than this little gem.

We regularly stay in vacation rentals in our travels. Grand Canyon Cabin is a marvelous find, and has earned the top spot on our list. It is in an ideal setting among the red rocks, and the place is well stocked with everything we could ask for. Bob and Dru are an excellent welcoming committee. We will be back.

First, we'd like to say that Dru and Bob are tremendous: friendly, welcoming, accommodating, helpful and very easy to work with. The cabin is delightful. We stayed in late October while volunteering at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary for a week. It's less than 5 minutes to town and about 15 minutes to the animal sanctuary. They have stocked the cabin with your every need, from spare animal blankets for sleep overs, a washer/dryer since you get dirty if you walk or hike, a cooler for road trips and hiking, extra soap and lotion and tons of information on local parks and entertainment. We highly recommend staying here! You'll love it!

What can I say that the other posters haven't said? The Grand Canyon cabin is perfect for a person alone or a couple. I have had such a wonderful six days here that I regret having to leave tomorrow. The cabin is roomy, simply but beautifully furnished, supplied with all you could want, and best of all--has windows in every direction that open up to the gorgeous red rock cliffs, pinyons, and sage of southern Utah. Dru even brought over a collection of books she thought I would like to read after I had talked to her about an event in Utah history I was interested in. I hope to come back!

Absolutely perfect for us! We were looking for privacy and a base camp for our wilderness exploits, and this more than fit the bill. The cabin had everything we needed, and more. Bob and Dru were so friendly and accommodating in helping us get established, then left us to enjoy their little part of the world. Would definitely stay again!

I can't say enough about how wonderful this cabin is... My niece and I came to Kanab, UT for a week to volunteer at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. This cabin was absolutely perfect for the 2 of us! It was so homey and inviting, not to mention functional! The owners thought of everything that you could possibly need during your stay. I plan to visit Best Friends again, and when I do, this will be the place where I will stay. Thanks again, Bob and Dru. It couldn't have been more perfect! Melissa Hough

Wow, our Grand Canyon cabin stay was spectacular! The location is perfect, and offers more then the pictures tell. Quiet, private, and star viewing galore, not to mention the backyard red rock view. The cabin is in perfect condition, and very cool, and comfortable. Fenced, dog friendly yard, and even dog bowls blankets and towels for your four footed one. We will be visiting this cabin again, and give it a HUGE 'thumbs up'.
