Lookout Lady is an original Harkers Island fishing cottage located on Core Sound with beautiful views of Cape Lookout and the Cape Lookout Lighthouse.
The cottage has been completely remodeled and updated with two bedrooms and two full baths. There are expansive views of the water from almost every room. The kitchen is fully equipped if you choose to cook and there is a gas grill for your use.
Lookout Lady provides easy access to all water sports and has a dock with a lift for a small boat. A fish cleaning station is also provided. Spend you time enjoying you favorite water sport, kayaking or lounging on the deck or dock.
There is a large swing on the water for enjoying the view and the evening sunsets. Take your boat or one of the many ferry services to the Cape and tour the Lighthouse or explore the pristine beaches of the National Seashore.
Lookout Lady is a great place to enjoy the sun and water or just relaxing and enjoying the view.

Year Purchased: 2005
As Native North Carolinians we vacationed on the Crystal Coast for 20 years before becoming property owners. While vacationing with our children we learned to "fish, crab and clam" and enjoy the many amenities and beauty of the "down east" fishing villages such as Harkers Island. As avid fishermen and boaters the accessibility of water and access to the many islands and pristine beaches made this an ideal location. Come and enjoy for a week or a life time and see why the we love this island paradise.
Why the Owner Chose Harkers Island
Harkers Island and the "down east" villages such as Davis and Atlantic remain unspoiled and virtually true to their roots. Even though commercial fishing has declined in recent years the picturesque wooden skiffs and trawlers still plough though the sound in search of the day or evening catch. The nostalgic beauty of the life style is a natural attraction. The easy access to the water and the many unspoiled beaches and islands are always alive with wildlife and adventure. When you are here you cannot help but be on "Island Time" it is contagious.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
Sunshine, warm weather almost year round, gentle breezes and a relaxing atmosphere make this a perfect get away. The island offers local restaurants and activities including the Core Sound Decoy Festival and many activities relating to the Core Sound Wildfowl Museum. We enjoy playing in the water or boating, or just relaxing and enjoying the views and the sunsets. Clear nights offer excellent star gazing. Fine dining and other amenities are just a few minutes away in Beaufort. Or you can travel a few miles up Highway 70 to Cedar Island and catch the ferry for a day excursion to Ocracoke.
