Quiet mountain home away from home. Our 2 bedroom condominium is the perfect retreat for a family. At the base of Mt. Mansfield, but away from the hustle/bustle of Spruce Peak, our home is great for season-round vacations.
In the winter, ski in/ ski out without the hustle (and prices) of spruce peak. Ski in the morning, come home for lunch (& warm up by the fire) ski in the afternoon (you can ski in/ out or take a short bus ride - no need for the car).
During the summer, enjoy the peaceful sounds of the babbling brook from your bedroom or the balcony, breathe the cool mountain air, relax at the pretty outdoor pool, play with your kids on the green lawn and play tennis - in a very private setting.
During fall, it is the perfect place to take in the fall foliage while staying cozy when the weather starts to chill.
In all seasons, the ability to cook in a well appointed kitchen and eat a few meals at home (making sure to still enjoy the area's wonderful restaurants of course) saves money and is perfect for families who may not want to eat all meals in restaurants. The area's gourmet stores make cooking (or assembling meals) fun and easy. Staying slope-side (but away from the crowds) is a perfect way to enjoy all Stowe has to offer in an economical, relaxing, home away from home kind of way.

Why the Owner Chose Stowe
Stowe is a very special place. It has such a wonderful feeling. We come for the views, the mountain air, the hiking, the skiing, the wonderful people (and, let's face it, the VT dairy products, in particular, the ice cream). We come here to relax and really get away from it all. The lodge, where our condo is situated, in particular, has history, charm and privacy. We bought here because it is close to the mountain, but it is also private, beautifully landscaped, understated, quiet and welcoming.
The Unique Benefits of this Condominium
I love being at the base of the mountain, (but not seeing tons of people all the time). In the Summer, I love our (shared but private & quiet) pool, the green lawn under my bare feet, the babbling brook I can hear from my window, the way the air smells as it comes down off the mountain into the bedrooms, and the view of the mountain from my kitchen window. In the winter, I still love the views, the air and the quiet feel, but I also love the warmth of the gas fire place (when the chill is in the air), being able to come home for lunch & a nap and still go back to ski if I want. And all seasons round, I love the convenience of wi-fi so I can stay in touch if I want to - - or just look up my favorite recipe for the ingredients I found at the farmers market.
