We are a “Can-Aussie” family – my husband is Canadian and I am Australian, and we have lived in both countries over our life together. Inherent in this is our love of oceans and lakes, relaxed surroundings, where fine wines are readily available! We love to travel and have explored many places in the world with our children. Travel will always be a big part of our lives - Niagara-on-the-Lake reminds us in little pieces of many places we have been, and we hope that in years to come our home here will serve as a beacon for our family and friends.

Securely framed by its colourful history, Niagara-on-the-Lake retains the quaintness and uniqueness of a small town whilst being able to offer so much to the traveler or resident. This little cottage is a wonderful getaway, located off the beaten path but a short drive to the main strip. Situated in a residential area just north of town, this small cottage is nestled in with other beautiful homes. Several are being rebuilt or renovated, in fact the neighbors had the crew in early working on their house. The accommodations are clean and well-kept with a very homey feel to it. We enjoyed the living room area with the large flatscreen TV for watching movies on a rainy evening. The air conditioner worked great! The entry door uses a numbered keypad so there were no issues with keys. The kitchen is well stocked with flatware and dishes and there is a BBQ outside that we didn't use. Speaking of outside the driveway is gravel and would hold 2 cars comfortably. Within walking distance is a small park with benches and a great view of the lake. But we drove into town which is only a short 2-3 minute drive away. Tip: Park off the main street where there are no parking meters for free parking. Also it is a 20 minute drive to get to Niagara Falls, which we also did. Maid of the Mist was excellent! All in all this was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Thank you!

We just love this place! Cute as a button, so quiet and peaceful, on a great street, just the perfect place to relax and recharge. Our daughter (2 years old) loved the backyard, and "her room". We were please to see so much attention to detail (great colombian coffee) Thank you for a wonderful weekend, we'll be back soon !
Recommended for:Girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+.
