Great location near Dupont Circle in a very nice quiet residential neighborhood--we were there during Cherry Blossom festival and the gardens on the streets were lush and blooming. The house is pretty much as advertised. Very smooth experience, no problems. Management was helpful and responsive. There are comments about the parking slot so I was concerned about size but it handled our mid-size car okay--no need to go with compact--although anything larger might be tight.

The row house is in a lovely area near DuPont Circle and Georgetown, on a very quiet street surrounded by beautiful homes. We traveled with our two sons and were quite comfortable. There is plenty of closet and drawer space, and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of counter space. Getting around was very easy -- we walked to the Georgetown Waterfront in 20 minutes, and used the DuPont Circle Metro Station dialy (a few blocks away). Cabs are readily available nearby. Plenty of great restaurants in the neighborhood, as well as a few options for groceries. Most importantly, Matt could not have been more responsive or accomodating. Great trip - thanks Matt!

The home was on a quiet street. It was near restaurants, grocery stores, and the Metro. Inside it offered two bedrooms upstairs each with it's own bathroom. Downstairs we used a great kitchen for fixing breakfast. The living room offered time to relax after a busy day. There was even a parking place behind the rowhouse for a vehicle. One of us needed a motor scooter to travel. The owner shared info that helped us get around DC. The metro has an elevator and the station is accessible. We were able to travel together on the metro to get around DC. Everyone was very friendly in the Dupont Circle area. At one restaurant they helped to find us a place for the scooter while we ate inside. This was typical of the DC area. We will definitely want to stay at the rowhouse again! I would recomment it to friends and relatives!

This was the perfect home base for our multi-generational family vacation. There was plenty of space for four adults and three children. It was wonderful to come back to such a lovely apartment after busy days of sight seeing. The apartment is very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. The owner was very helpful before our arrival and available by phone/email during our stay to answer questions. The location is convenient to everything. We were nervous about the parking space (after reading reviews about its small size) but our minivan was able to fit and it was great to have off-street parking included. We loved this apartment and hope to stay again!

We had a great stay as a family of two adults and three teenagers. This rowhouse offers exactly what we wanted -- to experience an urban neighborhood, have space to spread out (compared to a cramped hotel room) and close proximity to metro. Grocery store is a couple of blocks away as are several places to eat or have coffee. Kramersbooks and Afterwards is a must stop for coffee and cheese cake. Rowhouse was well appointed and clean. Parking spot was appreciated and convenient, though small. Our rented SUV was not a good choice given parking - urban lesson learned.

The house was fantastic - hidden in one of the most charming pockets of DC the street was set in a typical row house tree-lined street in a very safe neighbourhood. Once you step inside, the house was modern, with all the necessary conveniences for our stay (dishwasher, washing-machine, dryer, fully-stocked kitchen, wonderful TV) and was immaculately clean and really well-taken care of. The house has a parking space which is great since it wasn't always easy to find on-street parking, but the space is very tight especially if you're driving a medium-large SUV. It is a 5-minute walk to Dupont Circle (Metro and bus services) and great restaurants and a 15-minute walk from Georgetown, which also has superb shopping and dining. We really enjoyed our stay as the house was comfortable, clean and convenient and the owner really accommodating. We would definitely recommend it to other families or small groups of friends

Dupont Circle is one of the nicest neighborhoods in the DC area and we were very happy with our choice. It was very close to the metro as well as the many shops and restaurants in Dupont Circle. The townhouse was beautiful! We didn't want to leave. It was clean and had everything we needed including a washer/dryer (which came in very handy). The downstairs bedroom is perfect for older kids to have "their own space". The beds were very very comfortable and the owners were a joy to deal with. They were very accommodating and responsive. We would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the DC area.

Our family stayed overnight here while visiting some of the Smithsonian destinations, and found this was a very convenient and safe location to make our base! Plenty of good restaurants in easy walking distance, and it's also easy to get to the Metro. Word of warning to Suburban drivers, it's a tight alley for parking - but once we shoe-horned it into the spot, we didn't have to move it again until it was time to leave. A comfortable and charming alternative to staying in a hotel!

I rented this townhouse for my sister's bachelorette party (a fun group of girls ages 24-27), and it was wonderful! It was the perfect location. It was a max of a 5 minute walk to Dupont Circle; no need to cab! The house was clean, modern, and had a variety of amenities such as games, DVDs, and cooking supplies. One parking spot is available, but we had no problem parking 5 other cars on the street the house is on, even though it was a weekend and a gay-pride festival (unheard of in D.C.)! You don't need a permit to park on the street during the weekend, and it's a very quiet and safe area. The house had enough living space where we were able to have 12 girls over during the day and comfortably have a good time. The owner was quick to respond to any questions we had, and I would recommend this place to anyone. All the girls had a blast, and it exceeded expectations! P.S. Try dinner at the Darlington House in Dupont-walking distance and amazing food. Public Bar also has a rooftop deck, and was a great place for twenty-something girls to go dancing!

Our family stayed at this townhouse for 4 days while attending festivities for our daughter's Georgetown graduation. Perfect location to get to Georgetown via "P" street and avoid crazy "M" Street traffic, also very conveniently located a couple of blocks from Dupont Circle with restaurants & shops, and equally close to "M" street major hotels. Good starting point for downtown and main sights. Lots of taxis at all hours and close to Metro. Owner was extremely welcoming and helpful before, during, and after our stay. House was clean and well equipped -- we even managed to do some easy entertaining which really made our visit special. Thank you.

Row house was comfortably big enough for our family of five. Stocked with everything we needed. Two wall TVs, washer/dryer. Restaurants & Trader Joe's in walking distance. Quite convenient to Capitol, White House, Mall & museums. Neighborhood charming (Dupont Circle) & a short walk to the teeming Georgetown District. Only problem: I left my iPhone there and have been unable to contact owner since, whether by e-mail or phone., which I find disturbing.
Owner response:Thank you for the positive review! The only thing is that I think your last comment is a bit misleading. I've actually been very responsive to your iPhone issue and found it odd that you hadn't responded to my outreach. When you notified me that you had left your phone behind I immediately went to the house and picked it up as I had guests arriving later that day. I then called you on the phone number that you gave me and left a voice mail asking for an address to send the iPhone to. I never heard back. I then emailed you at the address we had corresponded on previously (I believe it is your wife's email) asking again for instructions on where to send the phone. I finally heard back from her yesterday and am shipping the iPhone out today. I'd say that's quite responsive and not at all "disturbing".

The apartment is located in a very nice street, 5 min from the subway station in a very quiet area. If you prefer walking, in 15 min you can be in Georgetown, and in 40 min (through Foggy Bottom) you can be at Lincoln Memorial. Apartment well maintained, fully equipped (there is no chance you can miss something). Matt (the owner) is very nice and very prompt to answer to all the questions you may have. The parking in the backyuard is really a plus!

I stayed in this perfect house just a few days ago, with my family (6), the house was better than I expected, it was big enough for all so we were confortable, the kitchen was also really good that we were able to prepare at New Year dinner. I love how the house was perfectly organize to make those days in Washington a perfect stay just as home. The house has a really good location so we were able to go anywhere we wanted in just a few minutes. I recomend this house. Thank you Matt for all your help! :)

My family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment which is located close to amenities like restaurants, pharmacies and convenience shops both at Dupont Cirle and Foggy Bottom.. It is also only a few minutes' walk to the metro which was great. The layout of the apartment was such that even though there are only 2 bedrooms, it did not feel cramp for 6 people. The host was very helpful and prompt in responding to my emails and my family felt that he had been most considerate and thoughtful about everything in the apartment in order to make his guests feel at home. There was even a Christmas tree put up when we arrived on 11 December which my children really appreciated. We are keeping this address to recommend to our friends and will definitely return if we are in the area again.

Our group of four retired and wanna-be retired travelers came to call this wonderful rowhouse "home" immediately upon our arrival. Very comfortable, great kitchen, internet access, laundry; and close to Metro (which we used daily), Trader Joe's, nearby restaurants. We found plenty to do right in this fantastic Dupont Circle neighborhood - Woodrow Wilson House, Phillips Collection, to name a few. We all would definitely stay here again and the rental process was timely, easy, and communication with Matt was prompt and gracious. Loved it!

The townhouse was in a perfect location to visit all the sights in Washington DC. Metro wasn't too far to walk and neighborhood was very safe. Restaurants and food stores were close by. Also it was nice to leave the car parked behind and never have to worry about moving it. In the evening It was a real treat, after a day out sightseeing to sit back and watch a movie on the big tv screen. We'll be definitely go back in the future. Thanks Matt for all your help.

This place was perfectly located for our young family to access the bus/subway to all the major sites. DC was beautiful and having this house as home base was exactly what we needed. The house was clean and quiet, with many shops close-by to purchase groceries, or to go for a nice stroll. There is a great crepe shop nearby for yummy desserts. We always felt safe walking at night. The owner had clear instructions and wonderful recommendations for our visit. Linens and towels were clean and beds were very comfortable. There was also a large selection of movies to watch on the big screen tv. I would definately recommend this property to anyone travelling to DC. When we go back, we will be booking here again.

Very comfortable in a quiet neigborhood. I was amazed at how quiet it was and slept well, in the comfortable bed. Easy walking distance to metro. We travelled with our teenage son and the two bedrooms and bath were perfect. The kitchen was nice and well equipped we had breakfast at the apartment in the morning. I would recommend this place to a friend.

We traveled to DC to run the Marine Corps Marathon and get some sightseeing in. We loved, loved the location as we were nestled in a picturesque neighborhood with restaurants, coffee and bagels for our picky 4-yo. The Metro was close and the all of the sights were a short ride away. We loved having a fully equipped kitchen, an available umbrella for the unexpected rain and accessibility to extra light bulbs as the front light went out while we were there. Everything was made simple. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We were in DC as tourists. We found the listing and description of this property very accurate. It was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well equipped. The owner was available by phone for questions that arose. The neighborhood is fantastic - lots of great places to eat, short walk to Metro and a short ride to The Mall and all the sights. The stairs in the rowhouse are steep so I would not recommend it for very young children or if you have trouble negotiating stairs. We would definitely stay hear again.

I can't say enough about how wonderful this place is and how great Matt (the owner) is to work with. Matt's communication was outstanding. We stayed 9/16/09-09/22/09, 4 adults & 1 child. The area is SO nice. Truly just a few short blocks from the Metro, stores & restaurants. Walked late at night, never felt unsafe. The house is comfy, clean and well equipped with everything we needed to cook in the morning and even a couple of evenings. Highly recommend in every way.

A clean place and well equiped. Great for up to 6 people. We could not figure out how to lower the volume on the TV. Important to indicate that the parking space is axcessed by making the first right into the tight "common" driveway which is before the house...and the numbers are on the trash bins. The outside could use a bit of cleaning, pulling all the weeds and brush which was overgrown. Both in front and the parking area. Overall we had no disappointments and enjoyed cooking dinner in the spacious kitchen. The owner responded quickly to our phone calls before we rented as well as after we had arrived and had a questioned....and this was around 9 pm.

We had a great time in Washington (for 10 days) and the rowhouse really made a difference after sightseeing til dusk. It is clean, comfortable, safe and secure. Dupont Circle is a central location for getting around; it's a 10 minute walk to the metro, which can deliver you to every place on the sightseeing track. There also is a Sunday produce market which is walking distance from the rowhouse, as well as a short walk to a Trader Joes store for extra provisions.. The owner is very responsive to any questions or concerns - and was even thoughtful enough to bring us by some fresh bread from his sister's business. We would stay here again on a future excursion to DC.
