We welcome you to the relaxed comfort of our beautifully furnished southwestern style home. It is centrally located in the Desert Hills II neighborhood of Green Valley, Arizona, an age restricted (one guest must be 55 or older), active adult community. It is 10 minutes away from 5 public golf courses, and one half mile away from the Desert Hills Recreation Center, with its work out facilities, tennis courts and swimming pool. This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 1527 square foot house has skylights and ceiling fans, and can accommodate 6 persons using the fold out option in the great room sectional.
The master bedroom has a king sized bed, spacious walk-in closet, tv, master bath with an enclosed shower, and a sliding door to the patio. The guest bedroom has a double bed with a second bathroom including a tub and shower.
The kitchen is well furnished with new cookware and dishware, modern appliances, new cherry wood cupboards, and a breakfast nook for informal dining. There also is a more formal dining area. The laundry has a washer and dryer and is located in a separate room off of the kitchen. The garage is accessed off of the kitchen, and also contains a large, separate storage room.
The great room has a large sectional and recliner for comfortable cable tv (27") and/or dvd watching, or relaxed lounging. Another option for relaxed lounging is the sofa in the Arizona room, which also contains a desk and cable internet hookup to keep up with your emails and other computer activities. Or, you can walk out onto the covered patio from the Arizona room, and relax on the chaise lounge. As the evening approaches, you can use the new gas grill, or the charcoal grill to cook up your dinner and dine on the outdoor patio furniture. As you sit on the patio, you are surrounded by beautiful flora, including many flowering shrubs and vines.
For a small fee, guests have access to any of 12 Green Valley Recreation centers offering pools, hot tubs, well-equipped fitness centers, tennis courts, racquet ball courts, arts and crafts, concerts, first run movies, and more. A large array of classes are offered, as well as specialized clubs such as photography, hiking, computers, etc.
At an elevation of 2900 feet, Green Valley enjoys over 300 days of sunshine per year and an annual average temperature of 80 degrees during the day and 50 degrees at night. Green Valley is located just 20 minutes south of Tucson and 40 minutes north of Mexico. There is no end to available activities in the surrounding areas, including 9 golf courses, Madera Canyon (world famous birding area), 100's of hiking trails (all level of expertise, or no expertise), observatories, caverns, casinos, museums, theaters, artist communities, and the list goes on.
