Enjoy the breathtaking views, amazing sunrises, and beautiful sunsets from an ocean-front house in historic Plymouth, MA.
Interested in a relaxing getaway at the beach? A golf vacation? A central location for day trips to Boston and the Cape? Or a history buff’s dream vacation to historic Plymouth, MA? You can do it all from this charming, pristine, three bedroom house that sleeps five.
Charming, pristine house on private beach: As you enter the updated, fully-applianced kitchen, you will immediately notice the stunning views of Cape Cod Bay. The kitchen opens into a spacious living room with floor to ceiling windows and spectacular views of the ocean.
Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, all with views of the ocean. The Master bedroom has vaulted ceilings and amazing views of the ocean. It has a queen-size bed, a ceiling fan to supplement the ocean breeze and a private deck overlooking the ocean. The second bedroom has 2 twin beds and views of the ocean. The third bedroom has a full bed and views of the ocean. There is an updated full bath. There is also an enclosed, private outdoor shower with views of the ocean.
Decks, decks, decks: The house has 3 massive decks that provide additional space for entertaining. One deck, located off the kitchen, has a gas grill and functions as great gathering place when making meals. Another deck is perched atop the bluff overlooking the beach where you can sunbathe or just relax and enjoy the views. The third is a private deck off the master bedroom. It’s a great place for some solitude while enjoying your morning coffee as the sun comes up or enjoy a glass of wine at sunset.
Things to do on your vacation...: Within a 10 min walk or short drive there are several restaurants, a grocery store, a movie rental shop, ice cream shop, batting cages and a park with swings and tennis courts. If you drive about 5-8 minutes south, you will hit the Cape Cod canal where there is a fantastic biking/running path. If golf is your game, there are some of the best public courses in the country…all within a 5-20 minute drive from the house.
Historic Plymouth center is about a 5-7 minute drive from the house. Main Street in Plymouth center is very quaint with lots of shops and restaurants - very “old New England”. The center is also home to Plymouth’s historic waterfront where you can visit Plymouth Rock and the Mayflower. Plimoth Plantation is about 5 minutes from the house. In Plymouth center there are also boats for harbor tours, day trips to Provincetown and whale watches. Independence Mall about a 10-15 minute drive from the house, which has a 14-theater multiplex and plenty of shopping.
We spent a week in August 2009 and 2010 at this property. We came back! Beautiful property, well positioned on bluff - not as many stairs as some other locations, nice to have stairs right on property. spectacular ocean views. house is in nice shape, very clean, very comfortable. love outdoor shower. the only thing that would make this house even better would be washer & dryer - but then again its a good excuse to have it all washed and folded for you at the local laundromat! Easy to work with owner and he gives good guidelines/tips. Highly recommend. We brought our whole family and friend - 3 teenagers, 1 toddler, 2 adults - and everyone loves it. Thanks for sharing this beautiful property with us!

My husband and I enjoyed a week here in August 2010 - what a wonderful property! The home is neat, clean and fully found from kitchen appliances and gadgets to beach chairs, blankets and breezes. When you 1st walk in it looks like a California beach home-just lovely! Outside shower is a treat as is waking up to the eastern sunrise view.
Neighborhood is charming, quiet, kid and canine friendly. The beach front is marvelous for walking, swimming and sunbathing. Tired of sand? Plentiful decks offer room for dining, sunning and relaxation. Nothing can beat the nearly 180 degree view of the night sky!
Restaurants nearby range from friendly diners to high end bistros: take your pick if you ever want to leave the house! There are more golf courses in the area than can be played in 2 weeks, while Plymouth Center and Manomet Village offer shopping, history and recreation for not-so-sunny days.
Housekeeping is top notch and owner is a delight to work with-the recommendations and household hints were very useful and all payment/arrival logistics professionally handled. A highly recommended oasis mid point between Boston and the Cape.
PS: For those with young children or toddlers, be sure to visit or study photos - beach stair is solid and secure but steep (as are all houses on bluff) and the multi-tiered decks surrounding the house might yield some tumbles for rambunctious youngsters and heart-stopping moments for guardians!
