Vacation in the middle of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina 13 miles east of Asheville, NC. Our cabin is located just outside the picturesque town of Black Mountain and is an easy drive to many wonderful sites like The Biltmore House, Mountain Mitchell State Park, Cherokee Indian Reservation, white water rafting, Maggie Valley, Linville Gorge/Falls, Chimney Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Grove Park Inn, and many more.
Our cabin is open beam with Ponderosa Pine paneling, wood floors and stone fireplace. Enjoy beautiful sunsets on our large porch that looks out over the valley and the quaint town of Black Mountain. Black Mountain has wonderful restaurants, antique shops, and several music and folk art festivals throughout the year.

We spent two nights at Cabin in the Clouds and it was just as the ad descibed. It was clean, neat, and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything you needed to prepare a meal and everything in the cabin was in perfect working order. Would definitely recommend this to a friend or family. The cabin was close to downtown Black Mountain's restarants & shops so you could go back and forth if you wanted to. We ate at My Father's Pizza for lunch and the food was very good. I had the marguarita pizza and Jim had chicken parmigiana. We have been in that area numerous times and had done Chimney Rock, Linville Falls, Bat Cave and Ashville so we were just looking forward to relaxing at the cabin and walking around the shops. We got to see the mountain view from the cabin after a rainstorm, early in the morning when the fog is just lifting and a very gorgeous sunset. I think anyone would enjoy their stay at Cabin in the Clouds.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+.

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Cabin in the Clouds as an anniversary gift to ourselves. We were very pleasantly surprised that the photos and description of this cabin were right on target. The cabin was clean, quiet and well-equipped for our stay. The view from the back deck is amazing! We enjoyed some local shopping and dining in Black Mountain and would encourage visitors to try Fresh Pizza for delicious wood-fired pizzas, wonderful pasta, fresh salad (try the house dressing!) and The Morning Glory Cafe for a wonderful breakfast. The cabin is a scenic drive away from Chimney Rock State Park which is a must-do. We also were 20 minutes away from more shopping and dining in Asheville. We would definitely recommend this cabin for couples wanting a secluded, but not isolated, romantic getaway.
