Port O'Call condo description
WOW.....only way to describe the VIEWS!!!
Welcome to 303 D Port O Call in Wild Dunes. We have just spent over 6 months rehabbing this condo along with our Happy House on IOP. (3907 Palm # 238977).
It directly overlooks the pool and the ocean...I call it a U....we are at the bottom of the U overlooking everything. There is an elevator and a terrific public gas grill by the pool. The house is furnished with everything we think you will need.....
I think we have the best unit at POC, at least that is what my Mom tells me....! We are on the 3rd story with a 'widow's walk'...spiral staircase to upper level.
We have gotten rid of the popcorn ceilings, which seemed to open it up more. Freshly painted, all over, totally re-did the bathroom, new furniture, new Bamboo floors, flat screen TVs, new DVD/VCR combos, Wi-fi, curtains, new everything....almost.
It has been a chore as I hate shopping!....but I think it is over. New pizza cutter.
My parents did a 1031 exchange on this house a few years back. They rehabbed it 15 years ago, so it was tough taking some of their work down. My Dad has Alzheimer's and is Asst. Living now....but know he would be proud!....
My Mom just loves the view!!!
Please let me know of any questions you may have.....
2013- New Sleeper Sofa!!
PS...we do not have a sportscard at this time, so Wild Dunes ammentities are limited to golf, dining, and bike trails. There are public tennis courts on both IOP and Sullivans Island.

You Get a Great Breeze from the Ocean....the Views Are Incredible......moreless

Wonderful get away! A bit chilly but any time at the beach is a great time. Loved the condo, location and views. Thank you for a great stay.

Very nice accommodations. The views are great. The condo is well furnished and tastefully decorated. We particularly enjoyed the screened in porch, which is also furnished nicely, and the widows walk with the zero gravity recliners. The resort itself is so well done and well maintained and the condo owner is very easy to work with.

We had a wonderful week at the Port O Call on the Isle of Palms. The condo was everything we needed for our week. The pictures show exactly what the condo is, so no surprises -- it actually was very spacious for a 1 bedroom. The view from the porch was the best of all! Seeing and hearing the ocean is just what I needed!! The whole complex was very nice and well maintained. The beach was not crowded and the beach chair/umbrella service was terrific and worth the expense. We cooked most meals in the condo and had everything we needed. The rental experience with Kat was so easy and stress-free. I will definitely recommend this to friends or may return again myself!

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. This was our first time at Wild Dunes and will definitely return. The condo has a great view and had everything we needed! The screened in porch was a great place for reading and just relaxing! Can't wait to go back!

This is an extremely comfortable and well equiped condo. Furniture in excellent condition and kitchen equipment and supplies were plentiful, it had everything we needed and more. Set in a beautiful gated community it was quiet and the grounds were well kept. There were lovely views from all the windows, screened balcony and widow's walk. If we visit this area again we will certainly stay here.

Well Worth It!!!!!!
Well Worth It!!!!!!
Upon walking into the condo, we were sort of blown away by the beauty. The view was fantastic both from the screened porch and the widow's walk. Oh, and also a great view from the bedroom as well. Yea, I guess there was a great view from the living room as well. So if you like to take in the visual beauty of the ocean and enjoy hearing the waves from your living quarters, this place will be perfect for you. Easy access to the beach (too cold for swimming in the pool). Although there were a few brave souls in the ocean, that just isn't for us. Good shelling though. Bed was very comfortable and the establishment was very quiet.

Comfortable, Convenient with a great view

My husband and I were in Charleston for business but wanted to enjoy the area for a long weekend prior to the work week. This condo was perfect for us as it combined the beach and the proximity to Charleston. The condo was very comfortable and had everything that we needed. The view was exactly as advertised and the beach was just a short walk away. The beach was very clean, wide and relatively unoccupied - 2 perfect sand dollars on the first day's walk. There were many restaurants in the area to enjoy (Boathouse, Acme Lowcountry, Troubadours for coffee, Sullivan's, to name a few). Charleston is a very easy, short drive away with many things to do (The Battery, City Market, Magnolias restaurant) plus Magnolia Gardens and Audobon Swamp Gardens just a short drive out of town. We had a great time!

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at this condo. It was our first vacation staying in a condo and it was so relaxing. I spent several early mornings up on the widow's walk off the roof and enjoyed the sunrise wrapped in a blanket (early mornings still cold in March). Direct walk to the beach, pool looked awesome. The decor in this condo was slightly updated from photos, and it was beautiful. We were glad we picked the 3rd floor condo, the view and the widow's walk porch reached by a spiral staircase were extra special. The owners were great to work with, we booked last minute that same week. Resort Quest maintaining the property well, very clean. I would definitely recommend this condo to my sister and other friends visiting SC. We enjoyed the Fleet Landing, Boat House, and Poe's Tavern restaurants. Seafood was delicious, fresh, beyond description. We also visited the Magnolia Plantation gardens, and the Audubon Swamp Garden where we saw alligators, snowy egrets building their nests, white herons. Everyone must take a carriage ride if visiting downtown Charleston, and walk along the Battery, along the river. We saw a group of 10 or more bottle nose dolphins along the Battery. The city Market was great as well, right on Market St, and we found some unique pieces in the Black Market Mineral store near there. On a drizzly day, we went out to Patriot's Point to tour the USS Yorktown ship, aircraft carrier. Very interesting, my brother was on an aircraft carrier and was 6 ft, don't know how he was able to move around in there.

What a great 4th! We were able to find this great condo available for a July 4th holiday mother daughter retreat. My only complaint is that it is way too close to the excellent shopping in Charleston. We loved the "widow's walk" and screened porch. The kitchen was well-equipped, even for a cook like me. When the blender failed to puree my summer squash soup, a new one was immediately brought to the unit. I loved the washer and dryer (after I figured out how to operate them). The sleeper sofa required some repair work as the mattress kept falling through at the bottom due to carelessness of previous renters. It was an easy fix. The unit was very quiet. I expected to hear noise through the walls, but there was none. The air conditioning was excellent, especially given this is a top floor unit and the outside temperature was a blazing 100+. We are major klutzes and managed to lock ourselves out of the unit. We were quickly rescued by the kind folks at ResortQuest. We also had an issue with smelly trash disposal by other units that was also quickly resolved. We rented beach umbrellas/chairs and bikes. I would recommend the service that provides the RED umbrellas and chairs. The folks providing the BLUE umbrellas picked them up at five or earlier, chasing folks from their chairs. Our umbrellas remained on the beach well after we exited the beach. When you rent bikes, the service leaves a note under your door mat with the bike numbers and lock combinations. However, they don't tell you where the bikes are located. There are lots of bikes at different locations throughout the complex! Aflter diligent searching, we finally found ours. I brought HE washing machine and electric dishwasher detergent. I found there was already a supply, but left mine there along with Pam and a supply of fresh spices. Would we come back to this unit? Yes...
