  My husband and I have stayed at a variety of cabins in the mountains for the past 20 years. This is by far the best mountain experience we have ever had. I made the reservation 6 months prior to our stay and had built up great expectations for our visit. I was not disappointed! This cabin met and exceeded all of our expectations. It is built of very high quality materials and furnished with high end furnishings. It had more special touches to make it feel like home than any other cabin we have stayed at. The most enjoyable part of the stay for me was sitting on the swing and looking out at the phenomenal view. It is very private and secluded and the views will take your breath away. The owners were fantastic and definitely had the gift of hospitality. We have already decided to stay at this cabin again next year for our trip to the mountains! I can hardly wait to sit in the swing again and stare out at that "Blue Ridge" view.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

  Can't say enough how much we loved our honeymoon here! Such a sweet week to start off our lives together as a family! We loved it so much we started calling it "our home away from home!"   This was the best experience w/ have had in the NC mtns. The cabin is beautiful & views are amazing. Before our arrival on Friday, we got engaged @ Grandfather Mountain vineyard. This cabin was in an amazing location & our experiences through out the weekend - sunrise, hikes, fires gave us the relaxation we needed! Perfect way to celebrate. We will be back!

  Our 3rd visit to the best spot we have ever been! This visit was to celebrate our son's first birthday. He loved watching the bird and swinging in the swing and running around the kitchen island. We'll be back soon! Thank you Joanie and Gary for another wonderful vacation!
