My boyfriend and I recently stayed in this amazing home over Veterans’ Day weekend, and we were not disappointed. Everything from the luxury furniture to the fully furnished kitchen was convenient, homey and enjoyable. We spent mornings on our private, screened patio and snuggled up on the cushioned couch at night in front of the HD television in the living room. We made full use of the many pots and pans, and we managed to cook several breakfasts and dinners as easily as we would have at home. There was even a coffee maker to fuel my boyfriend's caffeine addiction in the mornings. Everything was clean and very well maintained, and the pictures of the well-lit rooms and comfortable furniture don't hold a candle to the real thing. One evening, we joined our neighbors in sitting at the fire pit outside, keeping warm in the brisk November air. At night, the stars shone down on the lightly splashing water, and in the daytime, we watched various marine life and boats cruise gently through the canal. There were two new kayaks to use, and the house is close to a beautiful walking trail through an archeological site nearby. Each suite in the house has a boat dock, and though we did not have a boat to bring, we watched our upstairs neighbors easily load up their boat to go fishing every morning. Our nights were quiet and peaceful, and it was calming being so close to the water. Thank you, Doug and Sherri, for an amazing, relaxing weekend. If you are looking for a place to stay in Crystal River, you've found it right here.

I wouldn’t want to be locked up in a house during a rain storm anywhere else. The dock is full of cute little crabs and turtles. We caught like 10 a day!

What a wonderful weekend getaway. The property was very impressive and inviting. The personal touches made us feel welcome and right at home from the first moment we stepped inside. Everything you need is available to make your stay enjoyable and care-free. Sitting outside in the mornings with coffee and watching the dolphins play in the canal was just one of the highlights of our weekend. It was a great experience for our out of state guests. We will definetly stay here again. Thank you for the hospitality.

This is an amazing set up and I love all the things that have been done to make this an amazing vacation place. Thank you for making this such a nice place for us to spend time with our friends and family. We had a great weekend. I recommend Crystal River to any family or individual. There were so many manatees and other animals. We had a great time.

Best part was our two dogs could enjoy the yard and not have to be boarded at vet. They are true boating dogs and just want to load up and go. Thank you for being a dog friendly location. We will definitely return. The convenience of the dock was great – a screened porch and grill made this location a real home away from home. This neighborhood is very quiet and conducive to relaxation. Hope to enjoy the home again soon. Rode out to the channel to take photos Thanksgiving night of the sunset

This has been a really fun 4th of July weekend. I really enjoyed going swimming in the spring. It was really fun watching all the people set off their fireworks. On the 3rd we went scalloping and today I learned how to shuck them. It was so nice coming back to a comfy, relaxed, and calm environment. It’s so much better than any hotel I’ve ever been to. It’s like a home away from home that’s actually enjoyable to come back to after a long day. We just really enjoyed our stay here. Thank you

One of the most accommodating rental properties I have ever visited. Every amenity one could need is right at your fingertips. From shopping to sport fishing, dining to swimming at the springs; the direct gulf of Mexico access and large shopping mall just a mile away made it just that more convenient. On the first morning a family of porpoises ventured into the canal behind the house to visit followed by multiple manatees and even an otter. This was our second visit and we loved every minute. It is highly recommended to anyone visiting the area. Thanks for the wonderful weekend!

We came to see the manatees, which were amazing creatures. Gentle giants to be sure. It was extremely cold that day (51° H) while we were out. It was really nice to know we were coming back to a clean, comfortable, lovely décor and relaxing place. Thank you. It is very nice to know you can feel comfortable away from home.

We had a great "long winter stay", met lots of people and their four-legged buddies as they stayed upstairs. There was a two-legged one (Parrot) named Ralphie too! He talked and laughed and when it was time for them to leave said, "bye-bye, got to go"! In the canal difted dolphins, an otter pair (who are with child, we think), and mid-March through mid-April the manatees visited almost every day. It was awesome. We loved Charlie's for fish, Claw-Daddies for fresh raw oysters and Cody's for steak. Then it was off to the Manatee Festival in January, Greek Festival in February and Strawberry Festival in March; and we did lots of antiquing. Thanks Doug and Sherrie! We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an extended weekend or long-winter stay.
