The house is located in a quiet neighborhood just a few hundred feet from beautiful Delavan Lake. It is also located just a mile away from shopping and access to I-43 so all of the area's attractions are easy to get to. Lake Geneva is just 20 minutes away and you can get to Milwaukee in less than an hour.
This house is well suited for those visiting friends or relatives in the area or for those who just want to get away and want a better value than the local hotels can offer. It is best for those who want to get out during the day and have a nice, comfortable place to come back to in the evening to cook a meal or catch up on some laundry and get a good nights sleep. Or those of you from the city that just want to hide out for a few days. It is far enough away, yet doesn't take forever to get here.

Direct access to the lake is limited at best. There is a 10 foot wide easement at the end of the street where you can walk down to the water, but there is no beach. There is better access (public beach, boat launch, etc) on the other side of the lake about a 5 minute drive away.
This is a small house. Approximately 1300 square feet. It will fit 2 couples and a single person or child very well. An extra person could sleep on the futon. More people would be difficult and is not recommended.
Well trained dogs are okay, but no cats permitted.

My name is Jeff. I grew up in Lake Geneva (and area) and currently live in Janesville, WI. with my wife and 3 kids (11,13,15). I own a small construction/remodeling company and an Adult Family Home for mentally disabled people.
Why the Owner Chose Delavan Lake
I bought this house as a fixer-upper and did just that. I eventually rented it out to a tenant that destroyed it. I then rehabbed it in 2008 to its present condition. It has always been my play house and now that my interests have changed (let's just say that I don't host as many parties as I used to), it became a guest house. I decided that it would be a great house for other guests too so thought I'd give renting it out by the day or week a try.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Great location. Close to everything in the area, yet tucked out of the way near the lake. Many houses in the neighborhood are summer houses owned by people that live out of state. The house itself has been completely rehabbed recently and so just about everything is new. I hired an interior decorator to come in and really make the place special. There are plenty of lights, and outlets in the house. There is a new tankless water heater so the last person won't have to take a cold shower. The two queen beds are top notch comfortable and even the futon is sleepable (unlike some).
