House Near Lake Delavan with Easy Access to Area Attractions
Year Purchased: 1996
Why the Owner Chose Delavan Lake
Location is great for vacationers, fishermen, skiers, bicyclers, boaters, dinners, golfers, and many more. There is so much to do in this area and this is and excellent house in an excellent location. It does not have the outrageous costs as those right on the lake, but is close enough that you still get the feel of a lake property. There's not much better than summer in SE Wisconsin!
The Unique Benefits at this House
Peace and quiet, relaxing, enjoyable and comfortable housing. Something different than what most people are used to. A get-away. A place to unwind and just enjoy in a different environment. We all need to get away once in a while. This is it.
This my all time favorite Mexican restaurant. They have been around for 50 years and for good reason. Prices are very reasonable. There is a parking lot to the south across Wisconsin street.
Meat packing place. Get awesome, fresh meats here. A little pricey, but extremely good. Open M-F 8-5 and Sat. 8-4.
This place is iconic. Pricey, but nice. Ya gotta try it at least once. Especially good for the older crowd. (262) 728-2434
Step back in time in this old fashioned ice cream shop. Excellent ice cream!(262) 642-3679
Fish the easy way! Catch all you want and pay by the pound. Another charge if they clean them for you. http://rushingwaters.net/ 800-378-7088

4 of us stayed here for 3 nights for our annual girls weekend get-away. What a wonderful place! We had never stayed in this area and we had so much fun. Home is convenient to Lake Geneva, Delavan, wineries, etc.....everything we wanted to do. The home itself was lovely. Tastefully decorated and comfortable. WIFI worked great, beds were comfortable, plenty of dishes and cookware. It was great to have supplies provided such as toilet paper, hand soap, cleaning supplies.....so many rentals don't provide these items. Jeff was great to work with and provided timely communication and prompt refund of our security deposit. We would love to return for another stay and would highly recommend to others!

We recently spent 3 nights at this wonderful house. Everything described is accurate. The beds were comfy. Location great. The property was clean and very dog friendly, though ours was afraid of the spiral staircase. We look forward to returning. Thanks Jeff!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The owner was extremely thorough and helpful throughout our entire planning process making us fell completely at home before we had even arrived. The house itself is extremely well kept and offered everything we needed for our stay. The location has a great balance between privacy and access to both the lake and the town making it easy to have a relaxing time away! We loved it so much in fact that we've already reserved our next weekend stay! I guarantee that you will definitely be impressed!!!!

Rented this house for the second year in a row. Was very pleased with everything the first year so had no hesitation about renting again, and was not disappointed. The house was very clean and was fully stocked with clean linens and plenty of towels. We rented this house because it was reasonable and had plenty of room for 6 adults. The built in grill and outside patio were nice in the evening to just grill some steaks and enjoy each others company. Walking up the road aways there were a few nice places to eat or catch a drink on a warm summer night. All the appliances worked great and are exactly like the pictures show. This may not be the fanciest home you can rent but it is worth the money and has everything you need to enjoy your stay, Also the owner was very accommodating and supplied you all the information you needed to enjoy your stay.

The kitchen is amazing w. new appliances, the upstairs living area is about as comfortable as you could hope. All in all, this place is great and would def. stay again next summer.

Wow! Just returned home from Lake Delavan, well rested and relaxed. I am sure that staying here was the reason!! The home is centrally located to almost everything in a quiet neighborhood on the north shore. We thoroughly enjoyed the patio and grill. Please note that although practically right on the waterfront(we could hear the boats!) there is no boat access or swimming ;-(. The spiral staircase could work for or against you. Our older folks had trouble with it, but the kids loved the upstairs space while the adults gathered below in the kitchen. We left our pet kids at home, but I can see where it would be easy to maintain them here. The tile floors throughout were easy to keep clean and that was a plus since it stormed and rained. Affordability a major plus and quick check in! Parking was right outside the door, so packing in and out is a breeze! Within walking distance of the Lake's best hamburgers! Great place to meet and enjoy all that Delavan Lake has to offer in a private neighborhood/resort setting. It was great for our reunion. Thank you!!!

When looking for a rental for two couples, three children, two dogs and a grandmother, there weren't a lot of choices in our price range. Jeff''s place fit the bill, and we were more than satisfied. The house is newly renovated, it seems, and very clean. The two stories are connected via an iron spiral staircase, which meant the dogs stayed on the first floor and the kids were able to play upstairs in the living room. The three of them slept on blow-up beds in the loft -- and thought it was very cool. The outside patio was a favorite spot for us -- with a great picnic table and a fair amount of shade. There's little yard space, but plenty of room for walking around the neighborhood. Located close to but not ON the lake, we were cautious about lake access over the busy Fourth of July weekend, but there was less pressure during the week when many of the homes along the shoreline were vacant. Still, it's important to note that there's no swimming nearby. We took full advantage of the town's many parks and the "Mill Pond" swimming hole (Veterans Memorial Park), and found the location of the house to be handy to most everything. The owner stopped by once during our stay to see that everything was going well. It was, but it was nice to meet and visit with him. He's a nice guy and he's done a great job with this house ... it's small, but laid out in such a way that we were able to find our own spaces. We enjoyed our stay and expect others will, too.

I stayed at the house for a weekend and was extremely happy with it. Spacious and newly renovated. The owner was great to work with and the house was perfectly located very close to the lake and activities around Delavan. The loft can easy sleep 3 more with air mattress/sleeping bags. Bathrooms were big and nicely redone. I would recommend this house for a family or group of people who enjoy the lake for boating or fishing.

We stayed here for four days. We had four guys on a fishing trip. House was very clean and well maintained. There was plenty of parking, even room for our 17' boat. This is a quiet neighborhood, loud parties would not be welcomed. All the appliances are new. 42" HD tv was awesome. Built in dishwasher was handy. There was a small collection of DVDs to pass the time. There are 3 bedrooms, and a futon, all were comfortable. Walmart and Aldi are a mile away. There is no boat access from the house, but the boat launch is 5 minutes away. Nice deck to sit on, complete with chairs. Air conditioning worked well, plenty cool. The owner was very accomodating to our requests. I would definately stay at this location again.
