The villa, Amapola Cottage, of Balinese design, is located on a 280 acre jungle property overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The property is very private, very pristine and the views are spectacular!Electrical power is provided by a small hyro plant in the river and distributed throughout the property by underground cables...so safe for the wildlife.
The Cottage has a separate living/dining/kitchen area; a large bedroom with a king size bed and a huge bathroom. The tropical bathroom is enhanced by large plants, a glass-walled shower looking out over a private garden and a Jacuzzi in another private garden off the bedroom. The Cottage is surrounded by covered terraces and a beautiful stone patio that has a birds eye view of the ocean, jungle and valleys. Gardens abound. A gazebo is located in the garden at the edge of the jungle. In the evening, relax beside the wood-burning fireplace and listen to the sounds of the jungle.
A large infinity pool is located at the small Lodge on the property as well as restaurant, which serves meals prepared from a daily menu with a fine selection of wines.
There are several hiking and walking trails through the rainforest and a beautiful mountain river, Rio Magnolia. Several species of birds, animals and vegetation can be found..a naturalists dream come true!

Why the Owner Chose Dominical
Our location is amazing, 280 acres of land consisting of primarily junge/rainforest with some pasture for our horses, cows and coffee. We are located in the south Pacific area of Costa Rica that is still very natural with little development in the area. Our place is very private with lots of birds and wildlife. You can wake up to the sounds of howler monkeys and toucans!
