This house has one house upstairs and one downstairs. This setup makes it great for family reunions and group retreats. You get the best of two worlds: everyone is together, yet there is plenty of privacy with 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and 2 kitchens. Grandpa and grandma can stay on the ground level if they don't want to walk upstairs, and watch their little grandkids can play in the enclosed front patio downstairs. Mom, dad, uncles and aunts can bbq on the deck upstairs, dine outdoors, lounge in the sun, have a glass of wine and watch the ocean. Teenagers can walk 90 yards to the beach. When they come back they can use the warm water outdoor showers and jump in the Jacuzzi hot tubs. For dinner, you can use the large kitchen and dining room, and everyone can gather upstairs and enjoy the great setup with the large dining table, living room, fireplace, and deck with the view. After dinner, all can stroll to the cement ship and watch the sunset.

Why the Owner Chose Aptos
This is a great area. The beach is a State Park and is sandy and clean. At the beach there are restrooms and showers and fire pits for bonfires. The Cement ship and Seacliff State park are right there with the fishing pier and picnic areas. There is the Full of Beans Coffee shop for breakfast, the Pixie Deli for lunch, the Rio Cafe for dinner, the market on the corner, a tavern down the street. close to Santa Cruz, Aptos, Monterey.

Relaxing, fun, enjoying family get togethers. Close to the beaches for surfing, sunbathing, water sports. Close to great restaurants! We love to have family get togethers and BBQ.
The Cement Ship! Once was a dance hall! Fishing pier. Walk or bike out the pier to see the views, cement ship and wildlife up close!

We had an excellent experience during our Thanksgiving week visit. The property is as described. We rented both units, as we were having 9 to 13 inhabitants (3 generations). It was nice to have so much space around us. The beach was only a block away, with easy access to Seacliff Beach State Park. Some members of the family walked to Capitola each day. If you time the tide just right, you can get there from the beach. We did have a very special experience one day of the stay, we took an Eco Tour of Elkhorn Slough at Moss Landing. Well worth the 14 mile drive.
Recommended for:People with disabilities, sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

This was a wonderful beach house for a family gathering. There were 15 of us and we all had plenty of room and beds to sleep on. The beach was only a block away so it was very convenient to go back and forth as we pleased. The house was clean and well kept. There were plenty of bath and beach towels. The two BBQs and two hot tubs were added bonuses. The best part of the house was the large balcony. We found ourselves lounging around there for the most of the day. The location of the comfort of the home made this a very enjoyable stay for us. This is definitely one of our favorite rentals and we hope to stay here again.

This place was perfect for our family vacation. The living area was sparkly clean – we felt like we were in a 5 star hotel. The bedrooms were spacious with plenty of room for our kids and grandkids – although several of them were excited about sleeping on the sofa/bed in the family room since the TV and games were there. Most of the time was spent in the family room and spacious kitchen, which was well-equipped – and we enjoyed cooking on the barbecue on the porch. The beach is two short blocks away and was never too crowded and always clean. After a long day on the beach or out golfing at one of the many courses in the area, we often enjoyed the new hot tub and relaxed
