Our beautiful condo, Casa Pesca (Fishing House) is located in Building E of the Villas del Mar I development. Villa del Mar I is the most prestigious development in Puerto. Unlike any other property in Puerto Aventuras including Villa Del Mar II, Villas boasts a private manicured sand beach with private individual Palapas (grass thatched personal umbrellas), manicured grounds with palms, a huge bi-level pool with sloped entries like a beach, elevator service (Building E ONLY), and it's just steps to the restaurants, shops, Internet Cafes, and other amenities of the PA village.
Our condo's construction was completed in October of 2004. It is privately owned and we take pride in the higher end finishes and tropical elegant furnishings from Indonesia that makes it an upscale stay for our guests. Located in Building E, it is the only building in Villas, that's elevator served. It has a open floor plan with 1559 square feet of living space and a large 311 square foot terrace facing the pool and beach. The condo includes 1 king bed, 2 queen beds, and a sofa sleeper. Throughout, you will find slab marble counter tops, travertine floors, air conditioning, and ceiling fans in all rooms. Stainless steel appliances in kitchen and a home theater system top things off. The Master Bedroom and Living Room each have sliding glass doors leading to the terrace. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom with walk in, custom glass block and full marble showers.
Puerto Aventuras ("PA") is the Riviera Maya's pristine beach resort gem. Unlike Cancun and Playa Del Carmen with their hoard of Spring Breakers and crowds, PA is a more exclusive, gated resort that offers higher sophistication and tropical, casual elegance. As avid fishermen (and women) and divers we fell in love with the world class sport fishing marina that forms the nucleus of the resort. Sport fishing boats and their owners worldwide make it home during the spring and early summer months to chase the plentiful variety of game fish in the area. Most fish are caught 500 meters from shore off the deep reef bank. Hire a local fishing guide for 1st class offshore fishing (world class fishing tournaments held annually) for Dorado, all varieties of Billfish, Barracuda, Wahoo, and many more. For family fun with the kids, bait up a handline off the jetties for a variety of reef fish.
Non-fishing types can participate in the Dolphin Discovery program in the resort. One of the largest in the area, you can get up close and personal with the dolphins in their natural environment. A swim, a rub, and a ride in the water is a must do. Golfers can enjoy Puerto's picturesque 9 hole course carved through a lush jungle environment.
From Puerto Aventuras, a huge variety of activities abound within an hour's drive. Explore the Mayan ruins in Tulum just 15 minutes to the South. Just 13 minutes to the North, you can shop "5th Ave" in Playa Del Carmen for silver, handmade leather goods, pottery, etc. Shoot 18 on the Playacar golf course. From Playa del Carmen, you can take the ferry over to Cozumel to do more shopping or if you like to Skin or Scuba Dive, you can dive the walls of the famed Palancar Reef. Share with us your interests and we can provide some insider tips on maximizing your vacation enjoyment.
You have a variety of dining options. PA has a dozen restaurants, most of them surrounding the Marina and the Dolphin Discovery. Both kids and adults will enjoy watching the dolphins perform while enjoying their meal and a cold Margarita. Restaurants specialize in traditional Mayan and Mexican cuisine, Italian, French, fresh Catch of the day Seafood, and for the less adventurous, hamburgers and fries. There's also an excellent sports bar where you can watch up to 4 games, very important. Once again, we can make excellent recommendations because we have tried all of the establishments. For even more variety or late night dancing, Playa del Carmen is 13 minutes away.

Why the Owner Chose Puerto Aventuras
We first visited PA in 1991 when it was a sleepy fishing village. It has matured greatly into a high end resort catering to the active lifestyle, yet has maintained a quiet, relaxed and laid back atmosphere without the hustle and bustle of other overcrowded resorts.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We love walking on the crescent shaped beach before dinner. We like to think it's ours and the sunsets are spectacular.
I get up early on just about every morning before my family, make coffee and fly fish the reef for permit, bonefish, and other reef fish then meet them for breakfast at our favorite breakfast spot Cafe Ole.
If we're not out fishing, we take a walk around the Marina and inspect the catch on all the charter boats coming in for the day.
We love to do a family snorkeling trip out to the reef. No boat required. Go right off the beach.
I enjoy a siesta on our padded lounge on the veranda.
