Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2001
My name is Paul Vail, I am 45 years old and am a real estate broker at the John C. Conover Agency.
Why the Owner Chose Asbury Park
My family has been in Asbury Park since it's foundation. When I heard that the city was experiencing a renaissance, I knew I had to be a part of it. My home is three doors down from a home my great grandfather built for his family in 1905. The house was a complete wreck when I bought it. The porch was falling off, the plaster was crumbling, the layout destroyed. But I was completely charmed by the possibilities. It took years of hard work and lots and lots of money but I am proud of the results.
The Unique Benefits of this House
In summer, the wrap porch is where it's at. The home is surrounded by mounds ever-blooming hydrangea. It is a grand home but informally furnished. It has a double living room with a giant flat screen TV, custom kitchen and grand dining room with a giant, informal oak table great for gathering family and friends for good food and good times. The master bedroom has a fireplace and en suite custom bath. Two other good sized bedrooms have plenty of sunshine and cross breezes. The common bathroom has a custom shower and a giant soaking tub. Large double sink vanity. The house has central air conditioning, cable and wireless internet.
