This 2300 square foot rustic retreat has 3+ bedrooms, 2 ½-baths and is located across the river from Glacier National Park, in West Glacier, Montana. The home features an eight-person hot tub on the back deck and a large front deck.
Our vacation home is located in West Glacier, Montana — one mile from the west entrance to Glacier National Park. It fronts directly on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River at the confluence with McDonald creek.
Across the street is the 18 hole Glacier View Golf Course, and across the river is Glacier National Park. It is located at the dead end of River Bend Drive affording much privacy. It is common to see deer, elk, moose, beavers, bears, eagles, osprey and all sorts of wild fowl.
As the river level lowers, fly-fishing is excellent from the gravel bar just outside your back door.
We have furnished the cabin with comfortable Arts & Crafts-era antiques, new furniture and the walls are adorned with wonderful artwork. Satellite television with a DVD player and a stereo tuner with CD player comprise the electronics.
At this time the home is not equipped with wireless Internet but there is access close by in the Village of West Glacier. The Village is at the entrance to Glacier Park. The famous “Going to the Sun” road starts in West Glacier and goes all the way across the Park, offering countless opportunities for access to the Park interior.
West Glacier features 4 raft companies who offer exciting rafting, fishing and hiking trips. For dining out, there are several options to choose from. A grocery store, saloon (this is Montana after all), gift shops, post office and gas stations complete the amenities available.
Apgar Village is just inside the Park on Lake McDonald and offers lake access (boat rentals), a restaurant, and gift stores. The Lake McDonald Lodge is ten miles away and offers a fine restaurant, lake tours, and “Jammer” tours of the “Going to the Sun” road.

Ode to River Bend Lodge Our stay at Glacier was memorable, And the accommodations so ammendable. Your Lodge, very cozy and bright, With the stars twinkling above each night. The sound of the river flowing, As the fire inside is glowing. A walk in the woods, A picnic for two. Hiking to Avalanch Lake- What a view. We visited shops and eateris, Dined on fine food and huckleberries. Our walks delightful, Though the though of bears-quite frightful. Each day offered a new pleasure. How nice to enjoy Montana-style leisure. We thank you for sharing your home, Where the deer, bear and buffalo roam.

We loved our stay!! This was was well equipped and beautifully located. Loved eating dinner on the deck. Floated the river, hiked the Park and just sat and enjoyed the views.

We have had such a lovely time in your lovely home. We've enjoyed the river and collecting rocks. We had a 'rock' of the day each day. We explored beautiful Glacier Park. We took the 'Going to the Sun' Road and saw a moose, black bear, grizzley, mountain goats and Bighorn sheep. We loved hiking to Avalanch Lake, rafting down the Flathead River and eating Huckleberry ice cream. We had beautiful weather and perfect temperatures. We love Montana!!!!

Just finishing a wonderful week in West Glacier. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful and comfortable home. The weather was with us all the way inthe final days before the Going to the Sun Road closed. The trees changed color before our eyes and we saw 3 grizzlies, a black bear, mountain goats and coyotes. It was just fabulous.

A wonderful location for a wonderful house. We enjoyed sitting on all the various decks to eat or play cards or watch birds. The swing by the river was great. The week here was filled with awesome scenes and lovely down time - quite the vacation.

We've been dreaming of Montana forever and have finally made our way here-- the wonder and gloryof the beautiful mountains and rivers--the peaceful wildflowers and wildlife will be sacred memories until we return--and then this home with all of its beautiful reflections of Montana--makes it that much harder to leave.
