The TREEHOUSE is a unique Cabin located on the grounds of Bear Creek Lodge and Cabins. The Resort is quietly tucked into the hillside that surrounds the fun and lively town of Helen. Most guests at Bear Creek just walk into town (it takes about 5 minutes).
The TREEHOUSE Cabin is brand new, and is thrilling all who come to stay. It is made of all wood, and is built up high among the mighty Oaks and Maples. It has a wrap around porch with rockers and tables and chairs, that let's you commune with all the mountain nature!
Inside the Cabin, all your needs have been lovingly taken care of. It's a forty foot high Cabin from the Hot Tub at ground level, the living area on the first floor, and the private bedroom in the giant loft above. Two full baths, one on each floor. The decor is stunning.
It's all fun and friendliness here, with bonfires at the river on the weekends, bicycling, tubing, or just relaxing by yourself on one of the properties swings, or chatting up some of the other guests around the property. We've found that once you stay at Bear Creek Lodge and Cabins, you will return some day!

Absolutely perfect getaway! My wife and I had a great time with excellent accomodations. The "Treehouse" is in the perfect location--secluded, yet a beautiful five minute walk to downtown Helen. The pictures and description on this site do not do it justice! Cindy was a great hostess, and made sure we had everything we needed. Our only complaint is we had to come home! We will definately be back, and will stay here again. If you can't enjoy your stay here, you won't be happy anywhere. Thanks, Cindy, for a great vacation!

We enjoyed our stay at The Treehouse. We were close to downtown Helen, so we could come and go without having to drive a long distance. We enjoyed being so close to the wildlife the wooded area had to offer. It rained both nights we were there; so, we enjoyed the pitter-patter of the rain on the metal rooftop. The cabin was incredibly clean and well-stocked if we had desired to cook. We had an excellent hostess that was on-hand if we needed anything at all.

We feel somewhat confused!! To begin with, this property is not 'brand new' and we cannot understand the rave reviews of it. Yes, the situation is idyllic- in the woods and up high in the trees. We cannot fault that. On arrival we met Cindy who seemed like a genuinely nice person but the desciption of the cabin is not the reality of it. It was advertised as non-smoking but there were dirty ashtrays on the deck which indicated that it was only non-smoking inside. For someone like my husband who is very anti smoking this was not acceptable and it should be advertised as non-smoking indoors only.He booked the cabin on the understanding that it was completely non-smoking. Inside, the cabin was not very clean and woefully lacking in basic equipment- the can opener didn't work, there was no corkscrew and only plastic glasses available. The oven was filthy so we didn't use it and the few pans present were in poor condition and had to be washed before we used them. In the end we gave up trying to cook and ate out for the remainder of our stay. No hairdryer, no clothes washing facilities and the poor quality of the towels was completely unacceptable (luckily we had taken our own). It was advertised as having a 'video library' but this consisted of 3 videos suitable for adults and 3 for children. It also advertised cable TV but we could only find about 6 channels of only acceptable quality. Having said that, the location was beautiful and we had some lovely days visiting local beauty spots. We would visit this area again but would definitely not stay at this cabin as we feel the description was very misleading and disappointing.

My family visited Helen for a week and enjoyed so much staying in the Treehaus. My husband and children loved the fishing,( they caught their limit one of the days!), and we all had a great time tubing, and seeing the sights of Helen. The cabin was very nice and Mike and Cindy were so friendly and helpful. My husband and I are planning to spend our anniversay there in September! Thank you so much and look forward to seeing you soon!!

Staying at The Treehouse was a fantastic experience! We stayed for two nights and really loved the tranquility and privacy afforded by this wonderful property. Cindy was so kind and helpful, answering all of our questions and showing us around the cabin. It was wonderful listening to the river run while relaxing on the porch or in the hot tub. Highly recommended!

The Treeouse exceeded my expectations. I wanted to escape from the routine and hectic schedule at home and I found the most exquisite place to do so. It was impossible not to relax here. From the soothing sound of the stream meandering through the property and the wind rustling through the leaves; to the morning song of the birds and the evening song of the cicadas; everything combined to induce me into a state of relaxation. Any stress I arrived with was annihilated by grilling on the wraparound porch, soaking in the hot tub, walking the many trails and paths through the property and walking along the river's edge. Cindy and Tim Smith are the perfect host and hostess...out of sight, but immediately there when needed, most helpful with area tips and great conversationalists. And you MUST read Tim's book. I devoured it in one morning on the porch...such an engaging read and such a bonus to an already perfect cabin. Oh...and did I mention the delight in awakening in the mornings to the sight of trees to the right and left? It truly did feel as though I had returned to my youth and awakened in a treehouse. The beauty of this setting for me was that I could feel totally secluded and yet know that just a few steps away was the Bear Creek Lodge and the riverfront property owned by Cindy and Tim as well. Seclusion, yes, but not so secluded like other cabins in which I've stayed, which are almost frightening in their seclusion. This was indeed the best of both worlds, and a world that I hope to return to soon. Thanks for a perfect get away !!
