  We rented the full house (upstairs and downstairs) for 2 families with small kids. The house and location are perfect, the kids played outside from morning to night (loved that they also got to meet other kids staying in the other 2 houses on the property), leaving the adults to totally relax too. Mike & Jeanie were great - Mike even took us out on his boat where we got to see some turtles. I would thoroughly recommend this great getaway - it feels like absolute paradise, with so many great sites only a drive away. The beach house had everything we needed and even more. We used the BBQ and also cooked in the fully equipped kithen. All beach equip was also provided: snorkels, fins, chairs, towels, sand toys ect. We shopped at the local Shimas, and Costco was just 10 minutes drive away. The wrap around deck upstairs is brilliant - we spend alot of time out there and ofcourse had every meal there too, and both kids and adults spent alot of time in the jacuzzi! Staying here enabled us to experience the real Hawaii and relax in our own private paradise - loved, loved, loved it!

  We spent a week with our kids and grandkids and rented the whole house. The house was perfect for the kids and enough room for all of us to have our own space. The water was clean and the beach safe for the kids. We would go back in a minute.

  The house was amazing. You feel like you are on your own deserted island just 20 minutes from Waikiki. You can't beat the ocean view, especailly when viewing it from the private pier. From the small private beach, you can snorkel within the reef. If you want to see me more fish, you can drive 5 minutes to Hanauma Bay. The house was clean and comfortable, had almost everything you need for 8 people. You should stop by Safeway on the drive over, or you can drive 5 minutes to Shimas in town. There were a few great places to pick up food in town, including the yummy fish & shrimp truck and poke from the fish market. I would highly recommend this place, especially given the cost compared to Kaula/Lanakai rentals.

  We had a wonderful time during our one week visit to Oahu. This was a wonderful place to call home for the week. The views were spectacular; having our meals on the upstairs deck was very relaxing and refreshing. The drive to Honolulu was unbelievably beautiful. We were only about a 10 minute drive in one direction from Hanauma Bay where we were able to do some great snorkeling, and about a 15 minute drive in the other direction from Kailua Beach. The house was clean, well maintained and plenty spacious for the 8 of us. We would definitely consider renting this property again!

  Dear Mike, Jeanne and Katie, Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your beautiful house. We felt right at home from the start and appreciate your hospitality! Conor thoroughly enjoyed the tree house, ball swing and tree swings. So fun! All of us can never again think of Hawaii without wonderful memories of this house and you. We will definately pass on to all our friends that this is the BEST place to stay on Oahu.

  We rented the full house (upstairs and downstairs) for 7 of us (6 adults and one toddler) and knew nothing of area/house except what we researched on the web. We could not have found anything better! The house was just perfect; close enough to Honolulu to see the sites but far enough away for a complete getaway. Beach front was private to us; sunrise views were spectacular. All beach equip was provided: snorkels, fins, chairs, towels, sand toys, and we rented kayaks just up the road in Kailua which is a fun, perfect size town with great restaurants. The wrap around patio/deck upstairs was a giant playpen for our grandson- very safe, and we ate all our meals from there. There are 3 houses (this is the largest) on the property owned by the same person and we plan to come back with other families and rent all three at once. When visiting Oahu, there is no other place to stay than here....Oh....and the golf.....so many places, so little time!

  We rented the entire house for 6 days for our wedding in Honolulu and it was perfect! There was 8 of us in our late 20's and we had plenty of space, towels, kitchen and snorkel gear. Even plenty of space for the guys to play football out front! Wish we were able to spend more time at the house since we never got on the hammock or the hot tub! Even though the house is right off the road we barely heard the traffic. My favorite spot was the deck! Doing yoga while watching the sunrise was amazing. If you want a quiet peaceful experience I would recommend this house. We had a small issue with the tolite making noise but the owner Mike came right over and it was a simple fix. Also, this place was very clean! Never even saw a critter and it was spotless! Can't wait to come back!

  My family and I spent a week at this beautiful well kept home that truly was a piece of paradise. The photos you see on this site are accurate. They are a true representation of what you will get to enjoy. We had family ages 21 to 71 coming from several different areas and all enjoyed the house and view as well as its proximity to everything. The best part was being able to enjoy the "touristy" things and then come back and relax at such a beautiful non touristy place. Mike took us out on the boat and is a great guy! I would recomend this place to everyone. I am very picky about where I stay and on a scale of 1 to 10, this place was an eleven.

  We really enjoyed having the beach right in front of the home. The children were out early each morning enjoying the water, no driving necessary, there are also nearby beaches. The home was spacious and so comfortable, with a wonderful view. We even saw whales in a distance toward the lighthouse. This is the most memorable family vacation for all of us. Katie and Mike were so nice and helpful.

  I can summarize by saying simply that I love this place. We stayed 10 days in Waikiki in oceanfront hotels and that was really great but after that we stayed a week at this oceanfront paradise in the upstairs unit and it was a fantastic place to slow down our pace and relax and enjoy being right on the water's edge. The little pier is great to walk out on and look out over the ocean, we saw a couple of sea turtles, we watched the crabs at night on the shore, we went snorkling right there and saw many cool fish, the boogie boarding at MakaPuu beach was the best on the island - only 1 mile down the road, the hot tub is great, hot/cold shower outside was great as well. Costo is only 15 minutes away and Shiva's market 5 minutes away, and the shaved ice at Kekeke's in Waimanalo was the best on the island. Every morning I'd wake up and look out over the ocean from the upstairs windows and I couldn't believe what a fantastic view I was seeing. I'd walk out and sit on the upstairs deck and relax with morning coffee and feel the warm gentle breezes on my face. My 7 year old loved playing around with the tree house and the swings and big hanging ball and on the beach and pier. My 14 year old loved boogie boarding just 1 mile down the road. My wife loved snorkelling right there by the house, and I loved the peacefull setting and relaxed pace. The owners stopped by and got us a cookie sheet and some zero-gravity chairs and were very friendly and helpful. It is a different kind of experience than staying in Waikiki...I completely enjoyed both and for me staying at this location in Waimanalo at the end of our trip was fantastic.
