Fantastic Weekend Away

Guest: Dayna (Calgary)
Date of Stay: 05/21/11 Review Submitted: 05/29/11

My husband and I and are 2 kids had a great weekend in this condo. With plenty of space for our family the kids and us loved hanging out, hot tubbing, watching movies and visiting the playground nearby (many times). There was tons to keep us busy...the train ride to the mine was fun and interesting, Kimberley had an incredible new playground and aquatic centre. Marysville waterfalls are worth going to see. It's a great place to get away from it all and the condo met all our needs and then some. We would definitely like to come again!

Retired visitors from Australia returning for the second time to be pampered at this great condo

Guest: Silverfox (Gold Coast Queensland Australia)
Date of Stay: 02/10/11 Review Submitted: 04/06/11

We have been visiting Kimberley for many years and in 2010 discovered this amazing location. We returned again in 2011 to find nothing had changed to alter our view that this is one of the best located and maintained condos that we have rented in our 16 years of travelling to ski in Nth America. This is a spacious layout with everything supplied for an exciting holiday, with modern appointmets including the hot tub and barbeque on the rear deck to the magnificent views of the mountain from the front. Every comfort is thought of and we cant wait to return again next year. Well done !!!

Great communication from owners! Site pictures didn't do the condo justice...it's just beautiful! Everything that we needed was provided. Loved the hot tub and the washer/dryer & heated ski/snowboard storage were a big bonus. We had great ski conditions & the staff on and off the hill were very friendly. Would recommend family & friends rent this condo. Thank You!!

The description of the condo was very accurate. The vacation came at a time we needed a getaway and it was awesome. We loved the hot tub and being able to use it whenever we wanted. Our 5 month old was with us and the condo was a great place to stay with him. We will definitely be back.

Golf at Kimberly

Guest: Jan (Coeur d'Alene)
Date of Stay: 08/13/10 Review Submitted: 08/30/10

Kimberly is a fantastic area for golf and skiing. This condo is close to Trickle Creek and also the mountain for skiing. It looks like there's been quite a few improvements in the area since our last visit, walking trails and new restaurants. We enjoyed the condo, easy place to stay, clean and had everything we needed for a nice weekend away. Thank you.

Kimberly Ridge, A Great Place!

Myself, my husband, and our two boys (15 and 12) stayed at this condo in July of 2010. The listing description reflects the property accurately, except that it is much prettier in person! The hot tub on the deck was very clean, and well kept. We never felt cramped, even when my brother and sister in law stopped by for one night. There are two pull out couches, so my boys still had their own space. The living room, kitchen and dining areas are very spacious! We were never bothered by noise, as there is a strict 11pm noise curfew. It was so nice to have 2 full bathrooms to accommodate our family. If you're wondering what to do within the Kimberly area........ Besides scenic drives, and lakes, there are plenty of activities to choose from. We went to the fish hatchery (I think it's called the Kootney Fish Hatchery), there is a fishing hole, catch and release, they will supply the rods, bait, etc. They will also teach your child to fish, if needed. Free. We toured the Kimberly Mine. People of all ages will enjoy this, If smaller kids get bored, there is a room with crayons, etc., to keep them occupied until the train starts up again to take them down the mountain. Historic and Educational. We drove 20 min. to Fort Steele. Historical "ghost town" with steam engine rides, wagon rides, and theatre shows. Entry fee 5-15 dollars per person. We loved it here. Much to see, and experience, the employees are in charactor all of the time,......you feel as though you have stepped back into time, into their world. Amazing! Just down the hill from the condo, there is a 350 year old restaurant called the Baurnhaus (spelling?). We had planned on dining there just one night, but with our luck, we decided much too late, and found out they are closed 2 days a week. (I think Tues and Wed) Just a head's up. Cranbrook is only 20 min away, if you need fast food, Walmart, etc. One thing we would have loved to do, was go white water rafting. Oh well, next time! Bottom line is Kimberly is a great little town, and Kimberly Ridge is a great place to stay!

Awesome, Clean and Quiet !

This Condo was in such a perfect location. Just up the hill from Kimberley and the Old Train ride through the mines (About a 5-minute Drive). The condo itself was excellent as it held our family and my parents(4-adults and 3-kids). The hot-tub had to be the biggest hit for our kids as they were in it literally for up to 3-hours a day. The size of the condo was perfect even for the amount of people we had. We found it very easy to get around everyone there as the condo is spacious. Separate rooms for the adults was great as the kids could sleep on the 2-hideabeds in the living room and the adults could sleep in in the mornings. Beautiful views of the Golf Course and Mountains as well as deer walking right below our balcony was a real treat. Do yourself a fovor and visit the Platzl with all the restaurats and have some wonderfuI food. We ate at the Village Bistro and had a wonderful anniversary meal. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a place to truly enjoy the peace and quiet that Kimberley offers. We will definitely be back. The owners made this a very easy to find fun place, and they answered our questions very promptly when we had them.

Golfers Dream

Guest: Golfing Glory (Central Alberta)
Date of Stay: 07/12/10 Review Submitted: 08/23/10

This unit was terrific. Perfectly situated from atleast a dozen fantastic golf courses. If you are looking for a wekend out or golf excursion with the guys - this place is perfect. Hit up Shadow Mountain, St. Eugene's M ission, Eagle Ranch, Bootleg Gap and of course Trickle Creek (which is 5 minutes away). Nothing better then to come back to a spacious condo and take a couple hours to soak in the tub after a long day on the links. Owner was fantastic to deal with and each guy (4 adult males) had their own bed. Will definitely be making this condo a yearly excursion!

Beautiful Property!

Our family had a wonderful stay in this 2-bedroom condo with a hot tub. Everything we could have needed was there at our fingertips - laundry, stove, DVD/VCR, fans, dishes, even a corkscrew! For some family fun in the area, we took the underground train ride and toured the mine, visited Fort Steele (an "old time" town), and hiked like crazy! I hear the golfing is amazing, too, but with 5 kids we didn't have the chance to find out. :) I would highly recommend this property!

We visited this beautiful part of British Columbia in late summer. What a magnificent time to be here! There are many choices for accommodations in the area but this condo development is newer and very scenic. This unit is well appointed and served our needs very well.

Exceeded our expectations!

This vacation rental was wonderful!! Everything that we needed was there - from the fully equipped kitchen, to the comfy beds with snuggly down comforters, to the in-suite laundry - it all made for a wonderful holiday experience. There were many activities in the area to keep us entertained including hiking, exploring the nearby towns, horse-back riding, white-water rafting, or relaxing at a local spa. Each evening we were able to watch the birds and wildlife in the surrounding forest while unwinding in the hot tub on the covered deck. The condo faces the trees which allows for a very peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. With two adults and teenager, there was plenty of room in the condo. The Kimberley area allows for many varied activities so that we were able to find things that suited each of our tastes. We were very impressed with this vacation rental and would highly recommend it - all the comforts of home in a beautiful mountain setting!
