This condo is everything that it claims to be! It is very well maintained and well stocked. All the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The layout is perfect for big families. The hot tub on the top deck is a winner and the location is wonderfully convenient. The owner was very helpful and accessable. I would definitely reccommend this property, we hope to return ourselves in a few years!!

My family enjoyed a wonderful spring break at Moonlight Basin. Rustc Timbers is a beautiful and comfortable house. The radiant heating system is state of the art, and really makes the home cozy. We live at sea level and always worry about the effects of altitude, but this was the most comfortable we have been on any ski vacation. The ski in/ski out was so lovely. My husband and I are strictly "blue groomer" skiers. We had one morning that was just too cold for us, and it was so nice to easily ski back in and wait for the temp to rise. The sking for us was great. We felt like we owned our own resort at times. No lift lines and slopes all to ourselves. My husband And I skied only Moonlight, but our sons skied Big Sky also, which was equally accessible. I can't speak much about the resort, because we really just skied and then snuggled back in at this lovely home. If I have one tiny criticism, the kitchen could be stocked a little better. But we are the rare ones who actually like to cook on vacation. We managed fine though, and the kitchen is beautiful. In sum, beautiful house, view, and skiing. We had a great time, thanks Colleen.

What a surprise. This hidden Gem is located inside the Moonlight Basin ski area - ski in/ski out. The accommodations are as good as it gets. The atmosphere is extremely comfortable and homey. We felt completely at ease in the house. With Four bedrooms and five bathrooms, everyone had there own private space when needed. The owners were extremely helpful and walked us through everything. In fact, there is a book in the house with details on just about anything you could ask for - restaurants, activities and places to go - a very nice touch - assuming you want to leave. But the amenities are so nice, you might not want to. From the gourmet kitchen to the hot tub right outside the door, you may never want to go out (except to enjoy the skiing, of course). Immediate Access to Moonlight Basin and Big Sky make this a perfect location. You can't go wrong with this one. We will definitely be making a return visit in the near future. Thanks for allowing us to use your home.

We were impressed with the home from the second we walked in! The decor was top notch and the amenities were superior. From the granite counters and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen to the gas fireplaces in the bedrooms. The heated bathroom floors were a real plus and the gigantic master shower was perfect. We used the hot tub almost every night and started a fire in the wood burning fireplace to create a cozy feeling in the family room. Overall this was a fantastic house and well worth the money. Thank you again.

We booked this beautiful home for a mini vacation with my daughter, her husband and three children. The house is spacious and had everything we needed and wanted. The kitchen was wonderful, bathrooms and heated floors, great. The views were incredible. Definitely recommend the home for families wanting an upscale, mountain retreat. Destin, Florida.

Rustic Timbers is an exquisitely furnished, comfortable vacation home that made our recent trip memorable. Every day was filled with a number of activities, all easily accessible within minutes. My parents, wife and 6 year old all found the location and accommodations beyond compare. Our party of five could virtually hide in the spacious townhome. Views are outstanding, kitchen well supplied and hot tub delightful. Six-year-old looked forward to seeing the Big Dipper from the hot tub every night. The only negative I can conjure is lack of garage if I were to return in winter, but even that would be minor since ski-in, ski-out would be seamless. Overall fantastic, and Working with Colleen was really quite nice. Thank you!

I stayed at this home for a little "mommy R & R" and after posting a few pics of my view from Rustic Timbers, my entire family cannot wait to go! Rustic, hands down, has the greatest view from the hot tub and deck, overlooking Big Sky's slopes and beautiful wildlife! The house is impeccable; clean, organized, beautifully decorated and no matter what room you are in you have a gorgeous view out of the many windows. I can't wait to share this home with my own family next year! It is definitely spacious enough for more than one family and the layout makes it perfect for the kids and the adults to have their own space and then come together for family time in front of the enormous fireplace! I was surprised how many locals I met that visited Big Sky and never left. If not for my girls back home, I wouldn't have left either!! Colleen was wonderful to work with and really made me feel welcome in the home. Her hospitality made it so much more relaxing, as if you are staying at a friend's home and not rental home. She even has a big book of information for anything and everything you might want to know or need. Don't overlook the magazines on the tables either, they are very informative. Montana, alone, took my breath away and I felt like I left a little piece of my soul there. It's breathtaking and pics can't do justice to the smell of the pines and most amazing colors I've ever seen. And, that is just from the deck of the house. I loved watching the clouds billow over the mountains from the relaxation of the hot tub at night. I was hard pressed some days to just relax at Rustic or sightsee! The Lodge is right around the corner and anything you need is just a beautiful drive down the mountain to the villages. I can't wait to come back! Thanks Colleen, for sharing your home and making me feel so welcome and inviting!

We recently stayed in this beautiful townhome in Moonlight Basin. The views from the property were spectacular. The home was very clean, well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We traveled with our 2 children and grandparents (7 in all) and there was plenty of room for all of us. Everyone had their own bathroom and bedroom which was perfect for our needs. The home was very comfortable and decorated beautifully. There is a large hot tub on the deck which we were able to enjoy mostly during the day. We would have enjoyed sitting outside at night but the mosquitos would have none of that! We traveled to Yellowstone which was a 45 minute drive from the home. We also took advantage of many activities at the Base Camp (zip lining, scenic lift, bungee jumping and rock climbing for the kids) which was just a short distance. We also went on a horse back ride from Jake's Stables which was very enjoyable. Although we did not need a pool the week we were visiting, there is a pool that you can pay to use for the day at Moonlight Basin Lodge which is short distance from the home. The owner was extremely helpful in providing us information on the area. We did stop in Bozemen as she suggested at the Safeway to do some grocery shopping before we arrived which was necessary because there are only small markets in the Big Sky area. There is also an IGA and Walmart Market that you can shop at as well. We dined at Buck's T-4 which was very good for wild game. Although there were many restaurants in the area, we thought many of them were just ok. We would have preferred to make meals at home to enjoy and will probably do so during our next trip. During our visit we saw a Moose and fox right in front of the house! There was also a bear on top of the garbage can at the recycling & trash center which was fun to see. Overall, we had an outstanding vacation and will definitely be back. I highly recommend this property for your vacation in Big Sky. Thanks to Colleen for all of your help in making our vacation to Big Sky so memorable!

We loved this property. The house was beautifully appointed with a fabulous view of the mountain's, It was perfect for the 4 of us. Comfortable seating in the great room and a bathroom in each of the bedroom's was a plus. The bed's and bedding were wonderful. We would definitely recommend this to all we know who are interested in visiting Big Sky. The proximity to Yellowstone was great. An easy day trip to see the park. The owner's were very helpful in providing information on where to eat and what to do. There is also a concierge provided for your every need.

If you have ever skiied in Big Sky MT you know that the mountains are wonderful and the snow is perfect. But, there is not a lot of night life or even places to catch a quick dinner. The lack of commercially developed restraunts is not a bad thing but one you need to take into account. You should figure that you'll be spending a couple of evenings dinning at the lodging you rent. This particular condo was just great for that. We had 4 kids and 4 adults and cooked many meals at the condo. The kitchen is spacious and so is the eating area. The living room is adjacent to the eating area so you can spread out more if you'd like. This condo also has easy access to the ski hills and to the base area of Moonlight Basin. The Moonlight Basin resort is maybe a quarter mile up the road. The resort has an upscale restraunt and a little deli not to mention that you get your lift tickets there. I would highly recomend this property to any group of skiers who want to stay and ski at Big Sky and Moonlight Basin.
Owner response:The mountains are wonderful, snow perfect, lift lines short and limited commercial development...the charm of Big Sky! Peace and tranquility out your front door! After a bluebird day of skiing you won't want to miss Moonlight Basin's Après Music every Saturday and Big Sky Resort's nightly Après Music. Between Moonlight and Big Sky there are 4 fine dining restaurants, 2 diner experiences and 5 bars that serve food just in the Big Sky Mountain Village Area. There are well over 30 dining and spirit establishments within a 5-25 minute drive. Come experience Montana hospitality and Big Sky Country!

Everything about Rustin Timbers was wonderful, from the beautifully adorned house to the location. 9 of us fit very comfortably in the house. The kitchen and bathrooms are super high end, and the industrial appliances were great given that we ate every meal at home. From an administrative point of view, Colleen (the owner) was responsive and very, very easy to deal with throughout our interaction. Directions to the house, into the house, and about the hot tub were very clear and reasonable. We would stay here again if we come back to Big Sky, and will definitely recommend it to friends.

It was all & more than the listing describes! First class accomodations w/ beautiful furnishings & decorations. The kitchen was well equiped & functional. Our group consisted of my wife & I with our Son, Daughter in law, 2 grandchildren, and adult daughter. The 4 bedrooms provided perfect comfort for all! The owner was very helpful w/ baby sitting help & local attivities. The Spa @ Moonlight Lodge was great & only 2 blocks from the home. We enjoyed the Cabin Bar & Grill & the Elk entree. The familiy has voted and we will return to Montana to ski!!

This beautiful home was perfect for our family’s annual ski trip! Seven of us enjoyed the pristine neighborhood and the quaint town of Big Sky. The house was very clean and the owners stayed in contact with us and even provided helpful hints about local activities, restaurants and (????). We thoroughly enjoyed cooking in the accommodating kitchen, and the dining room was a perfect place to enjoy each other’s company. We had plenty of space and enjoyed your multitude of fireplaces and televisions in the house. Your proximity to town was also perfect for us! We would love to return and I would highly recommend this property to anyone interested in relaxing and enjoying the natural beauty of Montana!

My family of 3 and a group of other friends and families rented this piece of paradise for 10 days from the 27 of December to the 7th of January. It was a total of 4 families from Australia, France, Hong Kong and Italy eager to pass our ski passion on to our children while enjoying ourselves on all kind of terrain. 5 members from 3 families had be to Moonlight and had great memories but had never experienced such luxury as we did in this home. We'll be back over and over again till we buy our own unit!!! Gourmet kitchen, all room have their own bathroom, amazing view from floor to ceiling, 3 fire places of which 2 in the masters, large living area to rest or play family games, real wireless internet access, tons of snow and tranquil surroundings. great if you like nature, ski and relax time and good food, drinks and spa 10 minutes walk away at the luxurious lodge. thank you for a great place to ski and enjoy family time, Giovanni

We had a wonderful vacation in this home. The home was beautiful, with a gorgeous view of the mountains. It was more elegant than I had anticipated. It was decorated beautifully. It was large, spacious and very comfortable. Each of the beautiful bedrooms had its own bathroom. I only had 5 people in my party and the home could have accommodated many more. I think it would be a perfert place for 3-4 couples, or families that were traveling together. The owners were very helpful in providing information about things to do around the area. We took a whitewater rafting trip through "Montana Whitewater" rafting company. It was a fun trip and is located close to Big Sky. The owners had a folder in the home which listed area attractions and restaurants that was very helpful. The area around Big Sky had a lot of nice hiking trails, not too difficult that would be nice for a family. We visited Yellowstone, it is a bit of a drive, so leave extra travel time. The area around Big Sky is beautiful. I hope to return there sometime to take advantage of the skiing. I would recommend this home to anyone. The owners provided pertinent information to make the vacation enjoyable.

Had never been to Moonlight Basin and didn't know quite what to expect of the mountain when we visited during the last couple weeks of the season. Well, it was kind of like having your own private resort. There were no lift lines to speak of and I was able to ski untracked powder all the way until the last run on most days. The staff throughout the resort was as friendly as I've ever encountered. Our kids loved ski school and having ski in ski out access was a huge bonus. As for the lodging, this was one of the nicer places I've ever stayed at. The rooms were huge and the heated floors in the bathrooms were a very nice touch. We made a grocery stop on the way in, and pretty much cooked everything for the week in the kitchen. I'd be remiss to leave out the hot tub on the deck. It is truly the cherry on top of a delicious experience for the whole family.

This property was truly a delight to stay in - clean, brand-spankin'-new, and spacious. The views of the sunrise from the hot tub are spectacular, mainly because of the lofty perch where the property sits. Great views of Lone Peak from right outside the front door. For summer vacationers and hikers, the property affords easy access to the Upper Beehive Basin Trailhead which heads up toward the Spanish Peaks, the mountain range which can be admired from the hot tub. As far as the sking is concerned, the two dynamite, inter-connected areas put the Big Sky/Moonlight combo at the top of the list! Challenging steeps, long, fast groomers, and minimal lift lines. And for the Nordic skiing fanatics, check out Lone Mountain Ranch, a fabulous facility only a few miles down the road.

This is an amazing place for a vacation! We went for a week in February to ski and this house made the overall experience incredible. It’s ski in and ski out so there’s no stress getting to and from the mountain. You can even come in for lunch if you want. The house is stocked with everything you could ever need. I believe it’s billed as a gourmet kitchen and that’s no exaggeration. You can pick up groceries on your way in from the airport, get them on the mountain or have them delivered. We grabbed what we needed and let the chefs in the house do their thing and we had some amazing evenings in, with great meals and took full advantage of the hot tub on the deck. They have spared no expense to outfit this house with everything to make you comfortable. There’s plenty of space for everyone and the beds are so fabulous, if we did not have the mountain outside our door I may have never left. You have all of the benefits of a home on the mountain and the added bonus of the Moonlight Lodge just up the road. We enjoyed the après ski at the bar, a fancy dinner at the Timbers and hit the spa, all without having to leave the neighborhood. My only regret is that we did not stay longer. Enjoy your vacation!

We were extremely satisfied with this home in Moonlight Basin and are planning on renting the property again. The home is beautiful, spacious, and has all the ammenities of home (which are top of the line!). Everything was top quality, clean, and the view was fabulous. Access to the slopes was convenient and picturesque and the skiing was the best! I wish we could have stayed longer, I have no complaints.

We had a great time on our vacation. The property was very impressive. It was nicely decorated, but still very comfortable. I especially enjoyed the fireplaces and the hot tub. We spent most of our time skiing, but there are many other activities (dog sledding, snowshoeing, etc) available. Next time, we will stay longer. There are many options for meals in the nearby lodge or within a short drive. A full kitchen is available if you want to buy groceries and eat in. Another bonus was the onsite washer and dryer. The staff at the lodge were friendly and very helpful answering any questions. The owners gave us all the information we needed prior to our arrival. We really enjoyed the skiing at Moonlight Basin. I would classify myself as intermediate and found Moonlight Basin more my liking than the 1/2 day we spent at Big Sky (which you can get to from Moonlight Basin). We would definitely recommend this property.
