Beautifully Designed City Center Apartment for 2-3 Guests
Year Purchased: 2009
Why the Owner Chose Bordeaux
I just fell in love with this apartment when I first visited it with my realtor! It was in a very bad condition, but there was room and volume, and the location was just unbelievable, in the most exclusive and sought after part of the city centre but in a quiet street. I appointed an architect whose mission it was to create a pleasant, bright, and modern living space. I bought the apartment in January 2009, renovation was finally completed in April, and I am very pleased to say that all my guests so far since May 2009 (from Norway, France, Canada, Switzerland, The UK, the USA and Australia!) have just loved the place. I have arranged and furnished the apartment just as if I were to live there myself, with all conveniences one might need. Whether you are visiting Bordeaux for business or vacation, everything will be there for you to fully enjoy your time here. And I'm only a phone call away anyway!
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
While being a small city apartment, my apartment offers a secluded sleeping area above the main living area (but where one can still stand as the ceiling is very high), with its en-suite shower room. Separate restroom. With a flat screen TV and more than 100 satellite channels, hifi and DVD player, wireless internet throughout, and an inkjet color/B&W printer, you will be able to work as well as enjoy a restful evening "at home" after a day exploring the city. We had a terrifc time in this very beautiful city. The location of Gerald's apartment is excellent and we found the apartment extremely comfortable and well equipped. However all we used was the wine glasses! We came to France to eat, and we did just that! There are so many wonderful restaurants! Bordeaux is fabulous for walking, around every corner there is a square or a beautiful building, a fountain, or something fascinating. We had great weather - only one rainy day and that was in Arcachon. Gerald, "merci" for everything. We've left this small "cadeau" for you… and also some cards from our favorite restaurants. Someday we hope to come back. You are so lucky to be French. Love from Marcia and Dave.

We were delighted to stay in this conveniently located studio apartment, and really appreciated the friendly and personal welcome from our host. This studio is well located, within very easy walking distance of the centre of the old city and all the city facilities. It has a great choice of bistro, cafés, restaurants and food shops all close by. The apartment was beautifully presented and very comfortably furnished, and the fittings were all contemporary, working and functional. Our host went out of his way to facilitate the rental arrangement, and made himself available at our request during our stay. We have no hesitation in recommending this as a clean, convenient, comfortable and charming apartment in the magnificent city of Bordeaux, and would ourselves make use of it again in the future. Derek and Tony, Sydney, Australia.
