The house is very well maintained and equipped, from children's utensils and pancake griddle to wine glasses and outside frig. The location is perfect - a quick walk to the bay beach and the ocean just a bit farther. Being situated on a quiet court offers a safe place for the children to ride their bikes. The upper deck porch offers a nice quiet refuge. Henlopen State Park offers many activities and beautiful trails and is within walking distance. The beach wheelchair was a wonderful surprise for our 94 year old mother. Great restaurants and shopping are nearby, as well. I would definitely recommend this lovely beach home to friends and family.
Owner response:Thank you so much for your kind review! We are so glad that you enjoyed your visit!

This house was perfect for our group of 12. The layout of the house gave our kids space to be kids but also us adults space to relax. The kitchen offered plenty of room for us all to eat together, and the many bedrooms kept everyone comfortable. The kids never bored of visiting the pool or Bay - both just a block or so away. But my favorite aspect was this house's proximity to Cape Henlopen State Park. Its beach (on the ocean) is very convenient, but the park also has great programs for all ages. The kids loved the park's seining the bay program and I loved the kayak and bike rentals. I strongly recommend this rental.

I want to rave about this owner and the house and its location. There is so much to offer in this location. First of all, the house is located in a quiet neighborhood where my kids could ride their bike to the beach or the fishing pier. We loved that the house sat on a cul-de-sac, so the kids could skate board and bike without much traffic. The house is directly next to the tennis courts too, and we made good use of them, as well. The neighborhood is directly adjacent to the cape henlopen state park, so we often spent our evenings after dinner biking or hiking in the park. The kids loved the nature center and the trails to the ocean located within the park. There is even a day camp for kids in the park if you sign up early enough to take advantage. the park also has kayaking trips, hayrides and campfires. The house itself has ample room with its 5 bedrooms. The two master suites came in very handy, as we were vacationing with multigenerational family members. Some were edlerly and could not go upstairs - and they had everything they needed on the first level. The kitchen was well equipped. The owners thought of everything. the Owners were very responsive when we had a few minor house issues (overhead garage door came off tracks, vacuum cleaner broke) and immediately a new vacuum was on its way and a repair man was scheduled to fix the garage door. We were very pleased that the owners made it easy to enjoy our vacation and not be stressed with the details. as i said, there was a lot of room in the house, but we spent ALL of our time in the sunroom. We LOVED that room. perfect for relaxing and having coffee , reading your paper and watching the kids out in the cul-de-sac. our second favorite was the second level deck. Watch the sunset over the bay while you are eating dinner up there. oh - and there was a little pond out in the back yard - we bought the kids some nets and they caught minnows, tadpoles and frogs all summer. on the other side of the neighborhood was the cape may/lewes ferry terminal. we would ride our bikes there, grab a quick bite, play on the playground, play putt-putt and play in the arcade. I'm telling you, it was the perfect vacation. A little ways up from the ferry was a dairy queen for an ice cream fix - what more do you need? If you rent this house and deal with these owners, you will not be disappointed.

We stayed with 2 other families (total 6 adults and 7 kids, ages ranging from 1 to 6) and had a great time. The house was spacious and comfortable. Very convenient to bay and ocean, pool, and especially tennis. Would definitely recommend.
