This Beautifully rustic 2.5 Acre family estate will serve as a foundation for fabulous and lasting family memories.
A virtual mini – resort, “Deeside” is located on a ¼ mile stretch of sandy beach on south facing Manhattan Point between Big Trout and Lower Whitefish Lakes, both part of the 14,000 acre Whitefish Chain.
The property includes a modern 3 bedroom cabin and air-conditioned bunkhouse. The property supports endless activities on-site, including basketball, tetherball, horseshoes, pool, foosball, darts, and private hot tub, a fabulous 25,000 Sq. Ft. beach area with 125 ft of Lake Frontage; sandy beach with perfect sandy bottom swimming, volleyball and a beachfront fire pit.
An active deer trail running through the property hosts a dozen or so deer each morning and evening. The dock hosts three boat lifts and sunbathing platform that accommodates up to ten people.
The main cabin boasts hardwood floors and natural stone fireplace. Fully equipped kitchen and dining room complement three cozy bedrooms along with up and down living room area’s. The bunkhouse makes for a fabulous children’s quarters with air-conditioning and numerous gaming activities.
In addition to onsite activities, following are activities which visitors from outside the area will want to consider:
December thru March: Ice Fishing and Snowmobiling (snowmobiles available)
April-May: Return of the Blue Birds, Orioles and Red Headed Pileated Woodpeckers.
May: Walleye, Bass and Muskie fishing openers
May-October: Fishing, Water sports and numerous world class golf courses
May-October: NHRA drag, bracket and street racing at BIR
September to December: Deer Hunting season

Year Purchased: 1997
Deeside has been the host location of many memorable family gatherings over this past decade. We still enjoy the beautiful scenery and water/winter activities available in the area when time permits. As our children have grown older its become more difficult to fully utilize the property even during the summer months, so we've decided its special magic should be shared with others. We hope you get a chance to visit Deeside and start your own tradition ..... one your family will appreciate for decades to come.
Why the Owner Chose Crosslake (Cross Lake)
The Whitefish Chain of lakes is one of Minnesota's largest and cleanest bodies of water with excellent trout and walleye fishing. Watersports are a particular joy as the clean fresh waters are always welcoming. A bit of a resort destination, the Crosslake/Manhattan Beach area also hosts numerous World Class Golf Courses including The Pines, The Classic, The Preserve, Deacons Lodge (A Palmer Course), Golden Eagle and the Legacy Courses. The area also abounds with many enchanting restaurants and pubs and other attractions such as a full NHRA Drag Racing schedule along with street racing at Brainerd International Raceway.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin and Bunkhouse
I enjoy the wildlife most. On the property it is common to see large Red Headed Pileated Woodpeckers, and if during April and May you treat them to oranges and grape jelly, many an oriole will find their way to the property to compete with the Blue Jays for your attention. An enchanting deer trail spans the back edge of the beachfront across a quarter mile strip of beach that is the dawn/dusk destination of dozens of deer and fawns that roam the area to play and graze amongst beachside grasslands. An evening road trip around the area will often scout up 50 to 200 deer for viewing most any evening. Our personal record was 165 deer spotted over the course of a 45 minute "cocktail cruise".
