has everything you could need and great location
has everything you could need and great location
This apartment on the top floor of a charming block is in a great location just off Campo De Fiori (the food market that is rather touristy but also very handy for supplies and restaurants). Our family of four stayed 3 nights, our 6yr old and 8 yr old daughters easily sharing the large fold out bed in the living room (it was kindly made up for us in preparation of our arrival). From the apartment we could walk everywhere we wanted to go - the Vatican, the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Travastere, etc. There was plenty of cafes, bakeries, coffee bars and supermarkets within a couple of minutes walk to the apartment. While we didnt use the kitchen except for making tea and basic breakfasts of yoghurt, toast and fruit it has everything you could need to cook a proper meal. We did note how sparkling clean the apartment was. Also our girls very much enjoyed having some toys to play with that were supplied in baskets on the shelves in the living room, and we appreciated the business cards of local restaurants that it appeared previous guests had left behind on a notice board. The apartment is as exactly as it appears in the photos. Giancarlo and Toni were very prompt in responding to my enquiry emails and extremely helpful with questions I had. Toni also organised a van and driver to and from the airport for a reasonable rate and was waiting with the keys to the apartment when we arrived. I would recommend this property to those with children, couples, older adventurers (as there is an elevator if you do not want to walk up the stairs), anyone really. We have traveled all around the world and enjoy staying in apartments to give us more space, the convenience and economics of being able to prepare simple meals (if needed) and this great apartment ticked all the right boxes for us due to its great location, easy-to-deal with owner/managers, price and charm.

Moldy and dirty
Moldy and dirty
Tonii was wonderful and he got us Into a different property after the first night -more money but well worth it. I have an allergy to mold and this building has it so be forewarned. It looks good in the photo's but it's dirty and smelly. I couldn't sleep because I was all congested. The owner tried to tell me the smell was because of the recent rain -- please -- the apartment we moved to on Babuino 70 didn't smell and it rained there too. If you don't mind dirt then ok - otherwise ask Toni for a different apartment. To be fair they offered to bring in house cleaners to clean the apartment thoroughly - but shouldn't they have done that before we arrived? My husband was cold so took the comforter out of the closet -it reeked of mold. Two small towels for what would have been a nine day stay?? Not a good start to our vacation in Rome. However Toni was honorable and helpful and we would work with him again.

Aleesia's apartment was perfect for us. It was clean, lovely and spacious, with all the amenities. A very nice kitchen and bath, comfortable large bed and living room, with plenty of storage. There was also a couch for additional sleeping. We stayed there for a total of 8 nights. 6 at the beginning of our trip and 2 before leaving for home. We were a few minutes walk from Campo di Fiori and a tad longer to Piazza Navonna. The Tiber was less than a block away and we could also walk to the Vatican and the Pantheon from our flat. We were in a very Italian section of the city with narrow cobblestone streets, which we loved. We always felt safe there, and the Italian people are so friendly and nice. In the mornings we bought fresh fruit and vegetables in Campo di Fiori, There were many outside stalls for shopping for souvenirs, clothing, which were quite reasonable. Small and large cafe were in abundance. Even though the dollar is weak in Europe, we thought prices were very reasonable. In the evening there were many street performers, musicians, mimes and artists in Piazza Navona. We went there every night. This is the only section of Rome we would want to be in. Aleesia and her colleagues, Claudia and Tony could not have been nicer. They even suggested we have a meal together and took us to a wonderful restaurant. Their was no problem communicating. If you want to be in a convenient, charming, area of Rome, this is the place. It's a noisy city, but with the windows closed the apartment was very quiet. However, we kept them open all day because we enjoyed the sounds of the city. We used their limo service to go from and to the airport and highly recommend this. Ciao, Eileen and Frank
