This unit is cozy and private - with a nice side view of the Gulf and beach. Kitchen and bathroom extensively renovated in March 2010. As the balcony picture shows, the view to the beach is at an angle where you can see the surf. Enjoy watching the sunrise or dining on your balcony with a view of the beach and Gulf. This spacious one bedroom condo is located on Okaloosa Island in a quaint condominium complex on the famous sugar white fine sand beaches of the Gulf. No high rises are allowed on the island, all buildings are limited to seven stories! The newly decorated beach side pool area and deck is really great and it is just steps from the unit and beach. The beach is a few steps down from the pool. A private, lighted tennis court is on site too. 2 charcoal grills are located poolside. 2 beach chairs and umbrella are provided in the unit. More are available for rent from beach attendants. On site property management/maintenance is available should you need assistance.
This spacious beach condo has two entrances to the balcony, one from the bedroom and one from the living area. It has a fully-equipped kitchen w/new appliances and cabinets, one full bath with new fixtures. It has two entrances, one from the bedroom and one from the living area, separate private vanity area (1/4 bathroom)off of bedroom, living/dining room, and bar. Living room has new full size futon/sofa, 2 rocker/recliners, 32" flat screen HDTV, DVD/CD player and high speed internet modem (ethernet cable connection for privacy)or WiFi. The living area, dining area, kitchen, foyer and bath has ceramic tile floors. New carpet in bedroom. For dining, there is a table w/4 chairs, bar service area, plus patio set on extra large balcony w/4 chairs and table. Bedroom contains a queen-size bedroom suite, and TV with DVD/VCR, and recliner. This second floor unit is near an elevator for convenience. Your reserved parking (one regular sized vehicle) is near the elevator. The unit is conveniently located near a laundry facility on the same floor.
Okaloosa Island is a three-mile strip of beach between federally protected beaches. Just minutes to Destin, but without the crowds and traffic of Destin. Near eateries, golf, fresh seafood, famous deep sea fishing, shopping, and famous family attractions. Life guards are on the beach very near this complex for your safety. We are a couple in our later fifties. We live in Tennessee and are semi retired. The Mr. grew up in Key West and has always loved the ocean. The Mrs. grew up in Nashville and spent most childhood summers on these beaches. We both enjoy being on the beach, scuba diving, fishing, and cruising. One of our most favorite things is to just have a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise on the gulf.
Why the Owner Chose Emerald Isle
We chose this location because our families have been coming here for 40 years. Also important to choosing the Ft. Walton area was the fact we can drive here in about 8 hrs from Nashville. Ft. Walton has the same beautiful white sand of Destin and Panama City without the the crush of people and traffic of those areas. The traffic is quite reasonable and there are plenty of restaurants and shopping areas under 3 miles from our condo.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
Ft. Walton is more quiet and relaxed than Destin and Panama City. The beaches are well maintained and groomed by the city daily. It's just a wonderful place to relax and unwind.

Condo was everything advertised and nicely decorated for Christmas. The owners were very helpful and easy to work with during the entire process. I enjoyed my stay and would consider staying again. I'd recommend this condo to anyone.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay in Ft. Walton. The condo was wonderful and exactly as described. The great condo in addition to the great weather made our first family beach vacation perfect! The owners were extremely friendly and very easy to work with. There were small things that I didn't even think of bringing available in the unit which made the condo feel like a home away from home. I'm am sure we will make another beach trip in the future and look forward to renting from Melinda and Joe again!! Thanks a bunch!!!

My family planned a vacation to Fort Walton Beach and then of couse the oil spill happened in the Gulf! The owners of the condo, Joe and Melinda, were excellent to work with and understood our concern about making the trip to Florida. We decided to go despite the oil spill and I am so glad we did! The condo was great. Everything was just beautiful and we enjoyed our trip so much! We enjoyed the beach and the pool. The condo is located right next to the washer and dryer so that was a plus, also. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone with a family. It was very comfortable and near Fort Walton and Destin, if you want to eat out. We went to A.J.'s in Destin and the seafood was wonderful! Great trip! Thanks Joe and Melinda for making this a vacation our family will always remember!

They planned to enjoy the pool and go to the nearby waterpark should the beach be a problem.
