Escape to the sunshine! The historic mountain town of Pagosa Springs is Colorado's best kept secret. With an average 320 days of sunshine, and a ski resort that consistently has the most snow in the state, Pagosa Springs is a recreational dream come true. The San Juan Mountains, Navajo Lake, the San Juan River, the Pagosa Hot Springs and Wolf Creek Ski Area (Mapquest says 26.96 miles, 37 minute drive) are all in close proximity, making this home the perfect base for all of your adventures, whatever the time of year.
This home is located on three acres overlooking downtown Pagosa Springs with 180 degrees of stunning Continental Divide views. Three comfortable bedrooms (king, queen, and two twins) sleep six and two sofas fold out to make room for four more. One of the sofas is in the office area off of the dining room and the doors can be closed to make a private fourth bedroom.
The living room is comfortable with both a fireplace (wood is provided) and a flat screen television with a dvd player and cable. You'll have the option of enjoying Pagosa's many restaurants or of staying in and taking advantage of the fully equipped kitchen.
Out the back door you will find a deck outfitted with a gas grill, patio dining furniture, and a private eight person hot tub. This is a wonderful place to take in the scenic views, to enjoy the morning sunshine, or the shade and cool breeze in the evenings.
Don't be misled by our affordable rates. This home is newly remodeled, well appointed and we are proud to offer a budget minded, family friendly vacation option. For stays of 2 to 6 nights we offer a lower rate without hot tub privileges. It's up to you, spend less and stay longer!
'We wish we had a few more days to enjoy here! We have experienced so many VRBO rental homes that leave us searching high and low for basic supplies, but the owners have thought of everything! Especially appreciated good sharp knives for cooking. The place is very homey/cozy and it was so easy to just relax by the fire or in the hot tub. Our dogs loved the large yard to bound around in! A great birthday weekend for my husband! Wolf Creek powder, Kip's Grill fish tacos and a great rental! Thanks!' The Dunston's and Scarboroughs' of Arizona, Dec 2009

We have returned to this home many times due to the warmth of the home and the hospitality of the owners. The home is well furnished with everything you could possibly need for a stay away from home. The hot tubs has gorgeous views making for a really relaxing evening after the day skiing. The house has comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen, lots of room for kids and grandkids. We will return again!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This is by far our best experience in Pagosa Springs. The 180 view on the San Juan's mountain is simply breathtaking and you can see the town and the hot springs from the cabin. The owner stocks everything imaginable to have a great stay. The cabin is spacious with 3 comfortable bed rooms and an extra room and in a bitter cold winter the cabin stays nice and warm. After a long day at the slopes, the brand new 8 people hot tub invigorates. A special thanks to Ohea who kept constant communication right up to the day of our arrival.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The family stayed the week of Christmas 2011 and it was everything as described and even more. The hot tub was great, house was super clean and comfortable. Plenty of wood to burn and the entire family had a wonderful time! We arrive in Pagosa every Christmas to ski and we stumbled upon this place 2 years ago. We finally got to stay at it in 2011 and we will be booking again The Graham family took care of every neccesity with extras.....like wood! Loved it and would recommend any of their properties. Thank you, Bell Family Corsicana,TXRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Pagosa Springs is a real jewel of a town and we could not have picked a better place to stay on our first visit. The home provided ample room for 5 adults and was conveniently located close to downtown. Waking up every morning with views of the Continental Divide was simply incredible and at night, shooting stars were visible over the rising steam of the excellent and large hot tub. We were stocked for our stay with plenty of wood for a fire, located right around the house, and many useful kitchen and home gadgets as others have described. They even had boot warmers available for after Wolf Creek, one of the best ski resorts we have ever visited. We could rave on and on about the town and the house, but just know that this is an excellent choice for a short or long stay in Pagosa Springs!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

I have rented from others before, but have never had a better experience. The house was very clean, tidy, and had many household items ready for our use. For example, not only was there a coffee maker, included were coffee grounds and filters at the ready. Plenty of towels were available to dry off after relaxing in the spa. Wood, kindling, and matches were ready for the fireplace. Spotless dishes were in the kitchen cabinets. ...And so much more! When our plans changed at the last minute, the owner went to great lengths to accommodate us. The mountain views were spectacular and peaceful. I cannot recommend this property enough.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: This is such a rewarding review to receive! It is nice to have our efforts appreciated and it is our primary goal that each and every guest feels this way after a stay in our rental.

This was our second trip to Pagosa Springs to ski at Wolfcreek pass. Six of us spent the week at this property and everything was first rate. Two of the group were from Hawaii, so Ohea even brought over extra blankets. The house was clean, neat, and provided us with everything we needed for our stay. Having the hot tub to use in the evenings after a day of skiing was perfect. I would highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

I stayed in this property Spring Break 2010 with my family . Traveled with 2 adult children and their significan others and 1 grandchild. Plenty of space for all of us to enjoy the family visit but plenty of room for privacy. We were satisfied with every aspect of the property. The home is very nice, everything is very well stocked and the view from the hot tub is absolutely amazing! Great location, great price! couldn't ask for anything more. My family has already booked for Spring Break 2011. Can't wait!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Thank you; you have made this a very comfortable place and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your home. Brandy and I were able to celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas, and our one year anniversary. The fireplace and the hot tub warmed our hearts! It will be difficult to go back to Afghanistan after relaxing here for almost a week. Very respectfully, Major Jason ****** Thank you so much for offering this beautiful location to others. Everything about it was relaxing. It was such a nice way to get away from the business of life and be able to focus on each other. Thanks again! Brandy ****** (and Jack the dog too!)Did you find this review helpful? Owner info
Year Purchased: 2004
About the owner: We are local Pagosa Springs folks and are thankful to work, play and live here. Steve has been an electrical contractor for the past 14 years and during that time I have run the office. We now manage these rentals together as well. Our two young children, old black dog and cantankerous cat round out our happy home. We live just down the road from this rental and are generally available to answer questions and handle any situations that may arise.
Why the Owner Chose Pagosa Springs:
We purchased this property because of the location. It's very close to town and has amazingly expansive views. It was originally a long term rental, but when our tenants of four years moved out we began offering it as a sparsely furnished guest house for friends and family. This experiment was a success and we decided to rent short term in order to maintain the flexibility of having it available for our loved ones. We have since found that there is indeed a niche for us to fill with this rental. Our goal is to offer the most affordable product possible, without sacrificing any amenities. We are continually working to improve this property and so far this spring (2010) we have enlarged the front porch, replaced the carpet in bedrooms 2 and 3, upgraded bedroom two from a double bed to a queen, and added four ceiling fans (one in each bedroom and one in the office/fourth bedroom.) 2011 and 2012 brought a new exterior; paint, wainscoting, shingled gables and a new wood shed. Next on the list is irrigation and landscaping. We're always happy to chat or answer questions so please do not hesitate to contact us. We are also open to trades if you have a vacation rental/second home available.
