Come to the Cuchara Valley and visit the "Last Best Place in Colorado". Cuchara is a unique little mountain town surrounded by the San Isabel National Forest. Gorgeous mountain scenery, abundant wildlife, and an easy-going atmosphere make Cuchara a wonderful place to visit.
The small village of Cuchara looks like an old west town with Restaurants, Bars, Shops, and Mini Golf. The people are friendly and so are the dogs! Cuchara is famous for it's dogs...and the Dog Bar.
Spend your day hiking, fishing, horseback riding, sight-seeing, golfing, or just relaxing at "the cabin". Our cabin is a clean, comfortable, cozy cabin we call "Bearadise". It's fully stocked with everything you'll need for you stay.
Visit the quaint little artist town of LaVeta just 12 miles away where the world class Grandote Peaks Golf Course is located. In LaVeta you'll find more Restaurants, Grocery Stores, Gas Stations, Post Office, Library, Shops, and Art Galleries.
It's easy to get here, just follow I-25 to the southern part of the state. We are located just west of Walsenburg and south on Colorado's Scenic Highway of Legends, Highway 12. Just turn south, right towards the beautiful Spanish Peaks and the Cuchara Valley...you're here!
