Tahoe Review House - Awesome

This Reunion House is a gem. My friends and I decided to try a rental property for our annual ski/snowboard trip this year instead of the regular hotel rooms. Based on the amazing experience at the Reunion House, it will be hard going back to hotels. The house is fully equiped with all the necessary amenities that one would need in a home. few of the nights were able to leverage the Calphalon pots and pans for cooking. The Hot Tub was icing on the cake; we were able to enjoy it very much after a long day of skiing and riding. Last but not least, Dominique (owner) went above and beyond providing tips and information about local events and mountains to visit. In all, this has been a memorable moment for all of us and will gladly recommend the Reunion House to all my friends. (As long as my friends and I don't have conflicting booking dates :-) )

We three sibling sisters/spouses came to Reunion House to celebrate our parent's 60th wedding anniversary. We were so lucky to spend this special time together at this very lovely home. Immaculate, well maintained, beautifully appointed. All of the rooms are well thought out as far as our needs for space, multiple users of the bathrooms, and four serious cooks. (Future 'older' renters should know that 2 of the bedrooms are up a spiral staircase that may be difficult to climb.) There wasn't anything we missed when we reached for it. We loved the decor, the prints, the textiles. A very, Very warm and comfortable week with our family.

The Reunion House in Tahoma was a clean and beautifully decorated home. It provides comfortable bedrooms, well stocked kitchen, beach towels, etc.--a very efficient home. We enjoyed our stay here because the owner has thought of everything in organizing the house. The house is smaller than it appeared from the photos but it provided adequate space for all of us. The owner was extremely helpful in making suggestions and responding to requests. The beach was very, very small so if a spacious beach is important, this may not be the perfect choice. If you enjoy hiking, biking and being close to the lake, this will do it! I would recommend the property highly.

My husband and I along w/my two sisters and their spouses rented the Reunion House expecting warm weather. We were so surprised to wake up to falling snow and decided to take a drive and enjoy it. We laughed and sang and absolutely loved it! The cabin was stocked with everything we could possibly need and spotless. We cooked our evening meals and the wine and margaritas flowed. The fireplace added ambience to the cabin, falling snow and great conversations. We played Pictionary and laughed so much while the snow continued to fall. The light snow didn't keep us from venturing out and enjoying the nearby attractions - The Ehrman Mansion was amazing and a must see for your trip. I would diffinately recommend this property for family/friends vacation. We took many pictures and we are so looking forward to returning next year! Dody McCullough

Thank you so much Dominique for making our family mini reunion such a success. We shared the cabin withour sons and their young families from San Francisco and Austin, Texas The Reunion House was perfect for our needs. It was snowy outside but warm and comfy inside the cabin. Everyday the decks were cleared and the parking plowed. The location was ideal for skiing at Homewood and Squaw. The hot tub was a special treat after a hard day of playing in the snow. The kitchen was well equipped and we immmediately made a lager pot of sauce and meatballs for our dinner the first night. The cabin was well appointed with everything you would need for a home away from home. Dominique was very gracious and so helpful with suggestion on reataurants, grocery shopping and activities. I definitely recommend the Reunion House for a stay in the Tahoe area. I would love to come back in the summer and take advantage of all the hiking opportunities.
Owner response:Thank you Pat for your thoughtful review and I'm so happy you enjoyed your stay at the cabin! We'd love to have you back for a summer visit- you'll not recognize the west shore without snow. Ferns, wild flowers and a full lake and streams after this winter. Beautiful for hiking, boating and beaching. Until then, take care~ Dominique

We just got back from a long weekend at the Reunion House. First of all, I want to thank Dominique for staying in touch with us as we tired to get there - it was the weekend of a big storm and lots of travel issues. She really went above and beyond to help us out and check up on us. The house itself is wonderful - warm and cozy and very well decorated and supplied. Plenty of dinnerware, serving dishes, utensils and glasses. Usually in rentals we have to serve the salad out of a pot! We skied Homewood for the first time and were really impressed. Beautiful trails with great views of the lake. And the hot tub was so welcomed after a long day skiing. Thanks again, Dominique, for a great house!

This place was fantastic! From the perfect decor and lighting to the organization of the house wares, it felt like we were right at home from the start. In fact, the warm welcome was very nice. The gas fire was going, the lights were dimmed, and the parking was plowed, etc. The details make this place; the guest book, the photos on the wall (beautiful), the lamps and lighting, spiral staircase, and of course the bathrooms. The washer and dryer, as always, are very necessary and this place came through. The spa was a welcome site after a long day in the snow. Overall, it felt like even if I forgot anything I was covered. Dominique, the owner, is very thoughtful. There is a second book with activities in the area, dog friendly (yes this place is dog friendly) places to go, and even some discounts on lift tickets to local mountains. I definitely recommend this place; for its easy to get to location, quiet surroundings, welcoming atmosphere and quality. I most definitely will be coming back.

We went up to stay at the Reunion House over Martin Luther King weekend this season – our first time there. We were two families – four adults and five children ages 5 to 13, and one very happy golden retriever. We were very comfortable, all of us around the family table each night for dinner, and then in front of the cozy fire for games and dancing! The kids stayed upstairs, and the adults downstairs. Each day after skiing we relaxed in the hot tub in two shifts – first the adults while the kids had snowball fights over our heads, and then the kids while we made dinner in the well-appointed kitchen. Dominique was a perfect hostess. The house had all the things we needed in all the right places to make our stay convenient and comfy. It really was a five minute drive to Homewood – no exaggeration. Dominique told us about all the local spots we should see – she was a special guide that told us all the inside dope. A good time was had by all. Thank you Dominique! -Benjamin S.-

We loved Reunion House near Lake Tahoe. We attended in January. The snow was 4ft deep. The decks were cleared, the lights were on, and the blinds were open. We felt like were were coming in to our own home. The gas fireplace kept the main part of the house warm and toasty. Everything was updated. We had all but on meal in, and there was plenty of cookware and bakeware. Kitchen towels, placemats, and bath towels were supplied. It was 5 mins from Homewood Ski Resort. We will definitely come back, possibly in the summer. We would definitely recommend staying there. Thank you Dominique for making it so easy!

The family piled in the car and headed up to Tahoma to spend the week at the Reunion House. We had never been there before and only had the web site and the reviews to go by. Well, after the week we could not have been happier as the house became our home. The decor and condition were very impressive. We enjoyed being able to barbecue on the front deck and soak in the jacuzzi off the back deck. Being so close to Sugar Pine State Park was the best! Before we returned home we were already talking about when we might be able to have a "reunion" with the Reunion House. Dominique was fantastic in answering all of our questions and concerns along with providing clear explanations and accurate descriptions.
