  Perfection! 5 out of 5 Our stay at Castellare de Sernigi was the best week of my life. Not only because I had my wedding ceremony in its gardens, but because every single aspect of this property is superb! We were lucky enough to have our family stay with us at the villa for a week, with our wedding held in the stunning gardens. Each guest was very happy with their own room ,each had a private ensuite, as they were all of a very high standard. My sister had her two young children with her, and they were well provided for with a cot, rollaway bed and highchairs. The villa was tastefully decorated, well maintained, freshly painted, clean, well equipped, cosy, and in THE most beautiful setting. It looked just like a Tuscan postcard! The pool set in the olive grove is just delightful, and looks stunning when lit up at night. The attention to detail inside the villa was also appreciated with information provided about the local area, and fresh flower arrangements from the garden. The nearby town, Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, is very charming as well. A 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk,takes you into the old town where you could have an espresso and a pastry in the morning, or a delicious pizza and gelato at night! The markets on Thursday morning were also fabulous and we bought a lot of fresh local produce to cook back at the villa. But by far, the highlight was having the pleasure and convenience of having the villa owners, Annagloria and Enzo, living right next door. They are so warm, welcoming and generous. Nothing was too hard and they helped us a great deal with not only making sure our stay as pleasurable as possible, but also with arranging our wedding. This is what sets this property apart from so many other beautiful villas in Tuscany. Having a friendly Italian family right next door really made us feel like we were at home in Tuscany, rather than feeling like tourists staying at a hotel. I would be happy for any prospective travellers to contact me if they have any questions or would like to hear further about my experience at Castellare de Sernigi. I cannot recommend this property highly enough. Just go there

  We spent with a group of 13 friends a week (between the end of May and beginning of June 2011) at Villa Corti and we really enjoyed it. The Corti Family, who owns the place has always been very helpful both in the planning part of our stay and while we were there.   August 2011 We had booked the villa for 2 weeks with friends, a total of 6 adults and 5 children, and we have enjoyed a great time. The villa is a charming authentic building with a "soul" with old furniture yet very comfortable ; perfectly refurbish, nice bedrooms, great bathrooms, fantastic kitchen that makes you want to cook all day long.   This was a return visit to the lovely Castellare de Sernigi, and this time there was just my husband and me enjoying the ambience and the glory of the villa! Previously we had a group of friends join us, and what a magical sojourn we had!   6 mag 2010 | Tipo di viaggio: In famiglia Our family's stay in Tuscany was immeasurably enhanced by our villa stay in Tavernelle at Villa Corti. Trying to choose from the wealth of beautiful properties available proves a daunting task. Our decision was driven by the photos which gave us the impression of a lovely, spacious antique home that somehow still seemed cozy and welcoming. The photos gave an extremely accurate impression; the villa's uncluttered mix of modern soft furnishings, antique case goods and serene lack of clutter immediately made us feel relaxed and at home. The baths are lovely, each one. The beds and bedding are comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped, straightforward, and a pleasure to cook in. Each view is breathtaking and framed by beautiful raised panel shutters. The owners are a lovely, warm family who we enjoyed getting to know and look forward to seeing again. We felt a perfect balance of being hosted by friendly "natives" who helped us navigate the local markets and wealth of day trip opportunities in the area, but we also had plenty of privacy. Villa Corti, and the Corti family, are indeed treasures in the Tuscan countryside ------ The villa is nestled among the rolling hills of Tuscany between Florence and Siena. It is a large and spacious villa with places to dine and lounges to relax in, read a book, or have hors d'oeuvres with friends recounting the day's adventures and excursions. The grounds and pool are lovely. It is a magical place , made more so by its hosts, Annagloria and Enzo, who make every effort to make your stay memorable. They will solve problems, make suggestions and reservations (i.e. a museum tour, a concert, a local village celebration, a wine tour and of course, sightseeing to the many and varied historic towns within driving distance. We have been to the villa three times and each time was better than the one before. Annagloria and Enzo welcomed us like old friends and treated us like "favored " cousins. Treat yourself to a wonderful experience. Go! Take friends and relatives. It will be an experience you will savor Date of stay June 2009 ------ We lost our luggage! The Staff (Annagloria) worked two phones in English and Italian and succeeded in getting our clothes back. Great Villa and GREAT SERVICE !!!!
