Our log cabin is completely secluded on over 7 acres without another cabin, house or building in sight and it has gorgeous views of Shadow Mountain Lake and the mountains. Although secluded we are only 1 mile to the entrance of the town of Grand Lake and 1.5 miles to the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. The cabin is very spacious at 2,400 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms plus a full walk out basement. From our wrap around deck relax & enjoy a morning cup of coffee or an evening cocktail while enjoying the “Alpenglow” sunset & the wildlife visitors including: elk, deer, moose, fox & osprey.
Some of the amenities we offer include: fireplace, large wrap around upper deck, second lower deck with hot tub, high speed wireless internet, CD's, I-Pod docking station, family & adult movies, adult books, horse shoe pit, ping pong, foosball, board games, washer/dryer, outdoor gas grill. We have 3 boys & are extremely kid friendly & have a pack-n-play, highchair, stroller, x-box – including games, kids board games, toys, kid movies & books & a playground/swingset.
Our impeccably clean cabin has a King size bed in a bedroom, a Queen size in a bedroom, 2 Queen size beds in the master bedroom & a full size pull out couch in the loft & 2 full size bathrooms.
Grand Lake is quaint village on the shores of Colorado's largest natural lake and the western entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. With Shadow Mountain Lake & Lake Granby there is more than 150 miles of scenic shoreline to explore, hike or fish. The Grand Lake area has plenty to do including: boating, sailing, fishing, hiking, golfing, hot sulpher springs, shopping, live theatre or just enjoying the warm sunny days and cool evenings in the summer. In the winter you can enjoy snowmobiling, cross country & down hill skiing, hot springs, snow shoeing, sleigh rides, dog sled rides & sledding. In the fall you will appreciate the smaller crowds & the aspen leaves that turn a golden yellow & great wildlife viewing as the elk & moose make their way down from the mountains. You can also admire the elk bugling/mating season – simply a must see/hear!

We moved from Ohio to Littleton, Co 14 years ago & bought our 1st place in Grand Lake 13 years ago. We have 3 boys: twins that are 13 years old & an 8 year old that love to go to the cabin & catch frogs, butterflies, grasshoppers, play on the swingset or just hang out on one of the big rocks to have a picnic.

Thanks for another amazing week at the 7 acre wood. We hiked all over, saw a lot of moose - one in the front yard. The hot tub is a wonderful addition - we needed it after our 12 mile hike, 6 mile hike & horseback riding. Our families memories are made here - it is a great escape. We will be back again.

Our first impression of your cabin was amazement! If anything, the description we'd found were humble underestimates. Not only are the cabin & grounds spacious & beautiful, they're chock full of toys & surprises for the biggest to the smallest kids. We didnt have to venture further than the deck to experience much of what the area has to offer - from the soaring peaks in the distance with the sparkling lake at their feet to the abundant wildlife. Thanks so much for the wonderful opportunity to experience this landscape in comfort & peace.

What a great vacation! The cabin was even more than we expected - we had a chance to spend great time together doing what we love - experiencing nature. We saw deer, fox, osprey at the cabin & at RMNP we saw 10 moose, hundreds of elk, deer & marmots.

We can not say enough about this cabin! We chose to rent this cabin to get away from the rush of daily life & that is exactly what it was. The girls loved the swing set & toy room. No picture can do justice to the view from the house & the beauty of the mountains & lake view from your deck.
