You can't beat the lifestyle and the varied number of activities available in Aspen year around! It is really a small town of less than 10,000 people with some real big city attractions! Among other things, there is World Cup quality alpine skiing and snow boarding on 4 different ski areas, top quality cross country skiing on several groomed courses, mountain biking and horse back riding, hiking, mountain climbing rangeing the 14ers in the area to wonderful family hikes and some of the best road biking in the world. Also mountain biking, tennis, great golf courses, excellant work out facilities and then comes the unsurpassed dining, shopping, culture, drama, art, and music and much, much, more! Speaking of music, Aspen's world reknown Music Festival is celebrating it's 60th Anniversy this summer 2009!!...that's going all the way back to 1949!!!! Quite an accomplishment that we are very proud of. Aspen's long and storied history is part of what separates us from the others. Aspen is over 120 years old and has loads of 100+ year old Victorian houses and commercial buildings to prove it... and it is still going strong!!!!!!! This summer the music festival runs from June 25th to August 23, 2009, but please call the music festival directly for exact dates and complete schedules at: 970 925 9042. Check out just one of the many things we love about Aspen! It is truly spectacular and has numerous fabulous performances featuring the world's best classical musicians and is definately not to be missed! See below for more information.

Enjoy the historic ski runs that come right into town, just like you see in the finest European resorts, great for hiking too, or just for taking in the spectacular views from the year around Gondola service to the top of Aspen Mountain. Or you can relax in your own home, stretch out, kick back, and read a book maybe on your own large, private deck, complete with hot tub, BarBQue, and romantic dining/cocktailing area. What a great property. We spent our Thanksgiving holiday here and were not disappointed. Very cozy, romantic and comfortable. We had everything we needed. So close to downtown. The owner is an absolute pleasure. Thank you for a stress free stay. We will see you again!

Peaceful Location and still convenient to town

This trip was our third stay at this beautiful home. This home is very comfortable and the location is great. The pictures of the inside of this home are very accurate. What you do miss from the website is how nice the outside of the home is. It is has a pond in the yard and is located above the river. In the summer we sat out on the deck and it was so peaceful - listening to the river and the fountain in the pond. You can walk to a beautiful park (about 2 blocks). You are also walking distance to the town of Aspen and many of the walking trails. We usually visit for a long weekend - so we avoid cooking - and we can walk downtown and carry out from the restaurants. We travel with our 3 dogs - and this home/location is perfect for us. The owner (Jeff) is great! He is very welcoming, loves dogs (a big plus for us!) and he gives you privacy.

We enjoyed the house, its location and the owner. The owner paid much attention to details and provided good visitor information and a rare opportunity to visit mountain cabin on Aspen Mountain. We felt comfortable with our young teenage children visiting nearby park unaccompanied by adults. Overall great vacation.
Owner response:Thanks for the great review!....and I am so happy you all had such a great time and vacation!! It was wonderful getting to meet you all and I look forward to your return, hopefully next summer. Sincerely, Jeff

We were pleased from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. This house is in an ideal location short walk to town, less than 2 minutes to the gorgeous Rio Grande Trail, and area amenities. The house was clean, comfortable and in a beautiful wooded location where you can hear the river. The flowers on the property are beautiful. The owner was just excellent. He helped with restaurant and activity selections but more importantly he offered his high mountain cabin where we enjoyed a family day and picnic with some very scenic hiking, fishing and canoeing. A very great experience in Aspen indeed!!
Owner response:Thanks folks, for your very nice comments! Sincerely, Jeff

This is a nice house and conveniant to town. The owner could not be nicer and more accomodating. It is near the river and nice parks. There is no view but it is well kept with a nice pond and landscaping. Good house but what makes it so worthwhile is the owner who is great.
Owner response:Thanks for a great review!....so happy to accommodate great people, especially from New Orleans!! Because of all the leaves, oak and aspen trees galore from June until September the views are somewhat covered up. But, come October and winter you'll be looking directly at Aspen Mountain and the gondola! Check it out....the photos tell the story! Thanks again! Jeff
